After leaving the coffee shop, Liam didn't really leave. He watched as someone grabbed Celeste by the hand as she was about to leave and pulled her into an embrace. Back then, he didn't manage to see who that person was clearly. When he finally did, he found that it was a very handsome and charismatic person. It was actually Gary. He had come to England.

Liam almost couldn't recognise him.

In fact, he was surprised to see Celeste in his arms. Then, he realized something.

It turned out that they had been a couple for a long time.

Liam looked at them through the glass wall. At that very moment, the dazzling sunlight pricked his eyes.

They were such a perfect match. Under the sun, they looked like a gorgeous and young couple.

They looked so perfect.

It was as if time seemed to stop and the birds stopped chirping outside.

Liam could hear his heart shattering before falling entirely silent.

He was back at square one.

He returned to the departure hall and sat somewhere where he could rest. He didn't move and just waited for the plane to arrive. Then, he boarded the plane and left.

He was going back to shoot a film. He had been given a very small role, akin to a sidekick.

Liam intended to master the role and start from zero once more.

This time, he was going back for the audition. As long as the other party agreed, he would sign a contract with them.

When Maria arrived at the airport, she searched for a long time and found Liam, who was on the phone in the most inconspicuous corner.

His tall and thin figure was still so familiar. Even if his back was facing her right now, Maria would still be able to tell at a glance that it was Liam.

At that moment, she just stood theree watching as he picked up a call without approaching him.

However, she overheard his entire conversation.

"Didn't you say that I could give it a shot when I went back? Why did you suddenly change your mind? Did they not want to employ me? Or is someone exerting pressure and forbidding them from employing me?"

Maria couldn't make sense of what was being said on the other end of the phone.

However, what Liam said made her nervous.

She stepped forward and approached him a little closer.

What Liam was saying through the phone sounded clearer to her now.

"Does someone really want to interfere in me taking such a small role? Do they want me to completely become forgotten so that I can no longer be in the entertainment industry?" Maria felt as if her heart had sunk. She was upset and very uncomfortable.

She stared at Liam's back in a daze.

He had been screwed over by someone, hadn't he?

"Miss White really bears a grudge."

Liam laughed bitterly. It was as if he was trying to suppress his emotions, but Maria still heard the sadness behind his tone.

"Forget it, I know that her agent also wants to suppress me. They want me to apologize and beg for mercy so they can exploit me."

"Forget it."

"I can't believe we used to be teacher and student. I used to think that she was the best actress, and I always respected her. I even wrongly accused the girl I liked for her." "Hah, I'm so pathetic. I deserve it. You don't have to fight for it. I'm sorry for troubling you."

Maria was stunned.

Her face was pale.

Someone was really trying to silence him.

To be fair, she had known of it all along, but she didn't expect that the person would be Cindy White. Furthermore, Liam said that he had a girl who he liked.

That person... Was that person Celeste?

Maria felt a shiver run up her spine.

After Liam finished the phone call, he put the phone away. After taking a look at his wristwatch, he left.

As soon as he turned around, he saw the pale Maria.

Liam froze for a second. He quickly calmed down, but there was still shock in his eyes.

He raised his eyebrows slightly and sized up Maria. After walking around the seats, he stood in front of Maria and asked, "Miss Attwood?"

Maria came back to her senses and smirked wryly. There was a trace of self-mockery in her expression as she corrected him, "My surname is Lowe."

"I m sorry," Liam apologised, "I forgot."

How ironic. The boy she secretly liked did not even remember her family name. She was afraid that he would also have no memory of the kiss that happened two years ago.

That was her first kiss. The memory she had of it was pure and beautiful.

However, reality was cruel. Liam probably didn't remember it at all.

Maria shook her head and tried to laugh it off, "It's alright, I used to be an Attwood anyways. Everyone prefers to call me Maria nowadays."

"I'm sorry," Liam had no idea what to say anymore. He looked embarrassed and glanced at his watch.

"Your plane is at five o'clock, right?" Maria was quite decisive. She quickly put her pitiful expression away and looked much calmer.

"How did you know?" Liam was a little surprised.

"Ernest told me," Maria said, "I'm here for you. It's been a while, Mr. Robinson."

Liam was a little surprised.

He couldn't help but observe the young girl in front of him. She had grown up beautifully, with silky hair resting behind her. She had a slender neck and fair skin. Her features were intricate and she looked gorgeous.

Liam gave a sweeping glance over Maria's bare face. After a long while, he asked, "What do you want to discuss with me, Miss Lowe?"

Maria pondered for a moment. After a long while, she asked, "I want to know if you have offended Cindy White."

Liam was stunned, confusion brewing in his eyes. A while later, he regained composure and explained, "Miss Lowe, these are my personal affairs. I don't like others interfering in them."

Maria suddenly grew emotional. She looked at Liam and questioned, "Liam, you're being banned. How many years do you think you still have? You're no longer the popular, young celebrity from back then. Your under-performing career right now is enough to set you back for life. Do you think you still have time?"

Liam was stunned, and many complicated emotions flashed across his face. He felt so embarrassed.

He didn't expect that Maria would be so straightforward. He looked into her eyes, and his own embarrassed face was reflected in her

irises.

"Miss Lowe, I'm going to catch my plane," Liam didn't want to talk with Maria anymore, so he chose to leave.

"If you still don't have any films to shoot when you go back and they continue to stop you from getting any resources, will you be able to handle it?"

As they passed each other, Maria's words pierced Liam's defences.

His ears were buzzing and his thoughts were racing.

He stopped and stood beside her. Then, he turned around to face the young girl beside him.

Maria's beautiful bright eyes were filled with colourful radiance. Liam could detect a certain complex hope brewing in her gaze.

"If you were at the nadir of your career, can you hold on for another three years?"

As she spoke again, Maria's voice seemed to tremble slightly.

If Liam hadn't listened to it carefully, he wouldn't be able to perceive it.

If he could, she would ask him to wait for her. She would come back to save him after three years.

However, if he couldn't, she would probably lose the faith to continue for the next three years.

Maria held her breath and looked at Liam's handsome face, waiting for his answer. She was so careful since she was afraid that he might see through her hidden emotions and thoughts. However, Liam's laughter was very cold and indifferent. The moment Maria heard him, her heart sank.

After laughing for a good while, Liam scoffed, "Miss Lowe, these are my problems. It has nothing to do with you. Be it in the past, present or future, it will have nothing to do with you."
