The Twin Alphas’ Fated Mate
Fated to a Fae Chapter 5

~Blake~

"Please don't run from me." I say to Selenia. She turns to look at me.

"I'm sorry. This is just a lot today. First Sear and now you. And your brother apparently." She says and the mention of both men who aren't me puts Flynn on edge. Further proof that Rhett isn't her mate. I shouldn't be jealous of her thinking of him. But. I am.

"I know it's a lot to take in. But we can figure it out. I want to be with you, no matter what I have to do. I'll go kill this Sear prick myself if I have to." I say, throwing my hands in the air. Selenia tries to hide the smile playing on her lips. At least I made her smile.

"You would go and kill the most powerful Fire fae known in the last hundred years and risk the entire Fire fae population hunting you down? For me?" Selenia asks me sarcastically. I smirk at her.

"For you, I'd do anything. I'd use Sear's fire to burn the world down if it means I get to have you." I say. Selenia bites her bottom lip and it stirs something inside me. I reach for her, pulling her close to me. I grab the back of her neck pulling her face to mine. Selenia closes her eyes, anticipating the kiss I'm about to lay on her. I smirk knowing only I can make her feel like this.

I close the gap and kiss her hard. Selenia moans into my mouth as her hands grip my shirt. After a minute, we pull apart, breathless. I lean my head down onto hers.

"Please come back with me. At least try it out. If you hate it, you can reject me and I'll bring you back home." I whisper.

"I'm nervous about leaving. If I do leave, I don't think Laurel would allow me to come back." Selenia says.

"Then I can stay here with you." I say. Selenia sighs.

"No, we can't do that. Reef made a good point about werewolves not belonging here. You'd be outcast and hated by the rest of the village. Laurel will probably tell you what to do and when to do it, he won't let us live near each other and he may not let you shift into your beas- I mean wolf. Sorry, habit." Selenia says, looking down.

"Then what do you want to do?" I ask. Selenia fidgets with her fingers for a few moments before she takes a deep breath and sighs.

"I want to at least try. I'm going to come back with you." Selenia says and I pick her put in my arms. I pepper her face in little kisses as she giggles. "But you have to understand what this means."

"And what is that, baby?" I say, still kissing her.

"This might start a war with the Fire fae. Laurel will not take responsibility for this. He will blame everyone else to save his own a*s. He's a coward like that. And since Sear is a leader, he will just take what Laurel is saying and believe it." Selenia says.

"We will deal with it if that happens. Right now, let me just enjoy you." I whisper. Selenia leans into me.

"I'm nervous about leaving. I don't know anything about your life or how you live." Selenia whispers.

"You'll learn. I can teach you everything." I say.

"And I can still practice my magic?" Selenia asks.

"My mom will encourage you to use your magic. She'll be thrilled to have more people around who can perform magic. She had all boys, so she has no one to practice with when Silas isn't in our pack." I tell her. She nods and bites her lip nervously. "You don't have to worry."

"I know. When do we leave?" Selenia asks. I smile.

"After Max and Silas are finished with Laurel." I say. Just then, Max mind-links me.

"Blake, come meet Silas and me at the gates." Max says.

"Alright, be right there." I say back and cut the link. I look back at Selenia and she's looked at my face weirdly. "What's wrong?"

"What just happened to your eyes? They went all cloudy." Selenia says.

"Oh, I was talking to my brother. That's just something werewolves can do. We can talk to each other in our heads. It's called mind-linking." I tell her.

"Oh, I thought you were going to pass out or something." Selenia says. I laugh.

"No, I'm okay. It just looks weird." I say. "I have to go meet my brother. He sounds annoyed."

"Oh, okay. I'll go meet up with Reef." Selenia says.

"Okay." I pull her in for a kiss before backing away from her. "I'll be back. Try not to miss me too much."

Selenia smiles at me. "I'll try."

I turn and jog to the front gates where I see Max and Silas standing. As I reach them, Kaden and Devin also show up.

"Did something happen at the lunch meeting with Laurel?" Kaden asks. Max sighs.

"Everything was going fine until I brought up mates. I was explaining to him what being mates means when you're a werewolf, but he cut me off and said he had no girls for us to take. When I told him I wasn't looking to 'take' a girl and that Blake and Atlas met their mates here, he got angry and said any girl who's of age in the village has already been promised to someone. I said marriage and the mate bond are two very different things and they will not just walk away from their mates now that they found them. Laurel said no one will be leaving his village. I asked if it was just girls he needed to stay. He was confused, but I told him Atlas's mate is male. Laurel waved it off and said the males can choose to leave if they want. But no girls are to leave the village." Max explains.

"He basically said Atlas can have his mate, but Blake cannot." Silas says.

"Screw that. He can't keep her here." I say.

"Blake, we didn't come here to start a fight with the fae." Max says.

"Selenia said she'd leave with me. If she wants to leave, nothing can stop her." I say.

"Blake," Max starts, but I cut him off.

"No, don't start with me. What if it was Ava? What if her old Alpha had told her she wasn't allowed to be with you because he's deciding to give her to some other random Alpha?" I ask.

Max's jaw ticks.

"Her old Alphas were our fathers." Max says.

"That would make it even worse." I say. Max closes his eyes before turning to Kaden.

"What do you think?" Max asks him. Kaden rolls his eyes.

"Max, you once told me that if she's not marked, she's free for me to take. Selenia isn't married yet, she wants to leave with Blake and it'd be completely unfair for us to tell him he has to leave her here just because we don't want conflict with the fae. They started this in the first place by telling us to kill Silas. Who does that?" Kaden says.

Max sighs. "That was different. Aubrey just dated another guy. The situation wasn't this

complicated."

"Max, you can't be serious. You can't tell Blake to leave his mate here." Devin says.

"I won't. I refuse to leave her behind." I say.

"And I want to come." Selenia says, coming up next to me. I turn to her and she looks up at me.

"Selenia, this whole thing is complicated." Max says.

"Doesn't seem like it. Seems like every man around me thinks it's okay to decided what I am doing with my life. The only people who have cared about what I want are Reef and Blake."

Selenia says. Max looks down at the ground.

"I'm sorry, Selenia. You're right. It's not right for us to be deciding this for you. It's just I have a whole pack to think about. And taking you would mean starting a fight with the fae." Max looks up at me. "But Blake is my brother. I want him to be happy. We've faced worse for the people we love. We went to f**cking Italy for Aubrey. If you are serious about being with Blake, then we will do this for you."
I smile at Max, silently thanking him he's not going to force me to leave her here. He nods and I turn to Selenia.

"This is a lot for you to take in. But what Max is basically saying is if you come with us, you stay with us. No coming back." I say.

"Laurel wouldn't want me back. He'd just send me right to Sear. I know what it means if I leave

with you." Selenia says.

"You'll be stuck with me." I smirk at her.

"I think you'll be the one who's stuck." Selenia laughs.

"She is a handful." Reef mutters and Selenia gives him a look before he laughs.

"I'll never feel stuck with you." I say to Selenia and she blushes.

"Well, you should get anything you want to bring with you now. Both of you. We're about to

head out. Laurel seemed pretty upset with us when we left." Max says to Reef and Selenia. They nod and head back into the village. I go to follow, but Selenia stops me.

"You should wait here. If the guards see you with me, they'll tell Laurel and he'll know I'm trying to leave." Selenia says. I hesitate, but agree with her. She goes in with Reef and Atlas. I

stay back with everyone else.

"You sure you know what you're doing?" Max asks me.

"Max, I know you're the Alpha, but you're also my brother, so I know you know this comes from a place of love. I have never questioned you about your decisions when it comes to your mates, so please stop asking about mine. Selenia is my fated mate. I'm not going to just walk away from her because the leader of her village is some controlling a*****e who thinks he can trade girls for protection." I say.

"Questioned my mate? What are you talking about? What's wrong with Ava?" Max says, getting

angry.

"I'm not talking about Ava. I'm talking about Penny." I say. Max freezes.

"Why would you bring her up?" Max asks.

"Max, you never told Rhett and I what happened. You just said you rejected her because you

felt that's what was right. I never questioned you on it. I don't know the full story. No one has ever told me the story. I just accepted that you're my brother and you know what's best for yourself. Same thing goes for Jaclyn." I point at Kaden. "I don't know the story there, but I know you did what was best. I never questioned what you guys did."

"For the record, Jaclyn rejected me first. I just accepted it. Also, I'm defending you." Kaden says.

"I know, I was just making a point. Also, why did she reject you?" I ask.

"She thought I was a nobody and preferred the Alpha." Kaden said, motioning to Max.

"s**t, that's rough." I say.

"I obviously sent her away right away. I saw how much pain Kaden was in. That's why rejecting Penny was a hard thing to do. I knew how it affected us. But Penny and I would've never worked. She wanted to stay in her pack and remain unmarked. She basically wanted to say she had a mate without actually being my mate." Max says.

"Selenia is telling me she wants to be with me. She wants to come home with me. It's the

opposite of Penny." I ask.

"It has nothing to do with Selenia herself. I just have no information on what this Sear guy is

like and Laurel won't hear anything about the matter. I don't even know how to get in contact with Sear to try and explain the situation to him myself." Max says.

"Right. I know. I don't want to start a big fight with the fae. But Laurel shouldn't be promising

girls away like property." I say.

"We understand that, Blake. You just need to prepare yourself for what will happen if Sear

does show up looking for her." Devin says.

"And before that, you need to prepare yourself for how your twin is going to react when you show up at home with her." Kaden says. I sigh. I forgot about that.

"I'm going to kill Rhett before he gets a chance to meet her. How can he be so stupid?" Max

grumbles. Just then, Atlas, Reef and Atlas come back out of the gates. I go to Selenia and pull her in for a hug.

"The guards are coming back to the gates. We should go if we don't want Selenia to be seen." Reef says. Max nods.

"Alright. Shift everyone." Max says.

"We have to get undressed to shift or else we rip our clothes." Atlas tells Reef. Reef smirks.

"Go right ahead." Reef says, and Atlas laughs. I turn Selenia to face me as everyone begins to

strip. Silas turns around and holds the bag for our clothes. "You have to get naked?" Selenia whispers. I smile at her. "Yes. If we want to be able to get dressed again when we shift back." I say pulling my shirt off.

Selenia's face goes red as she looks at my bare chest. I pull my pants off and she swallows.

"This is the best day of my life." I hear Reef say and Selenia laughs at her friend. I pull my boxers off and Selenia's eyes go wide.

"Shit." Selenia says under her breath. I pick up my clothes and step towards her. I put my clothes in Silas's bag and turn back to Selenia.

"I'm all yours now. You can see more of this later. Right now I have to shift. Don't be scared. It

doesn't hurt. I won't be able to talk to you once I shift, so I'm going to lie down and you climb

on my back. Hold on tight. You won't hurt me." I tell her and she nods. I step back and shift into Flynn. Once my paws hit the ground, I look up at Selenia, hoping I didn't scare her. But she just looks amazed. I lay down flat for her and she steps up to me. She looks so small beside Flynn.

Being of Alpha blood, I am bigger than normal wolves. Not as big as my dads or Max. I'm about the same as Kaden, since he's also a second born Alpha.

Selenia puts her hands in my fur and Flynn nudges her, feeling the sparks of the mate bond.

She climbs on me and I feel the heat of her legs. I look back and her dress is pulled up so that

she's able to sit properly. Holy f**k, she's not wearing anything under her dress. How did I not realize that earlier?

Selenia secures her bag on her back and grips my fur. I stand up and I hear her gasp. I look over at everyone else. Silas is on Kaden this time and Atlas as Reef. Max is standing up front. He nods to us before taking off and we all follow.
