The Twin Alphas’ Fated Mate
Fated to a Fae Chapter 6

~Blake~

An hour later, we are back at the pack. Ava, Aubrey and Kai are standing out front. Kai sort of acts like the girls' body guard when Kaden and Max aren't around. It's not often, but Kai makes sure they're never left alone. I know the girls don't mind. Devin gets jealous easily, though. Once we all shift back, Devin goes right up to Kai before he even puts his clothes back on and Kai picks him up and takes him inside. Aubrey and Ava just laugh. I quickly get my clothes on as Selenia watches Kai leave with Devin with wide eyes.

"That's Kai, Devin's mate." I tell her.

"I figured. Gamma Devin didn't even put his clothes on." Selenia says.

"Kai would've just ripped them off him anyway." I chuckle. Selenia gives a small gasp and I laugh at how cute she is. "Werewolves are very s*xual creatures. We don't shy away from se.x when it comes to our mate. Also, Devin feels no shame. He would announce in front of the entire pack that Kai just railed him."

"Oh my goodness. Fae are not like that. The most s*xual person I know is Reef and that's because he's very free-spirited." Selenia says.

"So is Atlas. They're perfect for each other." I laugh. "Come on, I'll introduce you to my sisters."

I take Selenia's hand and I bring her over to where Max and Kaden are with their mates. Atlas and Reef have disappeared. Damn, Atlas, you work fast. Silas probably went back to his cabin already.

"We need to find Rhett." Max says to me and I nod.

"First can I introduce my mate to my wonderful sisters?" I say to Max and he smirks as both Ava and Aubrey whip their heads around to look at me.

"Mate?!" Ava asks loudly.

"Our little Blake found his mate?!" Aubrey squeals. I step to the side and let Selenia step forward. She smiles up at the girls and they both freak out.

"You're so beautiful!" Ava gushes.

"You snagged a good one! Blake is amazing! He's the best little brother to us!" Aubrey says. "Just wait till you meet Rhett! He's a bit of a trouble maker, but he's hilarious." Ava says. "Babe, Selenia isn't Rhett's mate." Max says quietly. Ava and Aubrey turn to Max.

"Why not? They're twins. They share a mate." Aubrey asks.

"Blake's wolf says Rhett has a mate already. We think he may have marked Nicole last night and that's why he didn't get up on time to come with us. He was too tired from...doing mate things." Kaden answered.

"Rhett marked Nicole?!" Ava makes a disgusted face before she storms into the packhouse. Aubrey follows her and we all share a look. We know exactly who they're going to and Rhett is in for it when she finds out.

"They look mad." Selenia whispers.

"Just wait till you see who they're getting." Max mumbles.

"Who?" Selenia asks. All three of us answer her at the same time.

"Our mother."

~Rhett~

I'm just lying in bed when Blake mind-links me. He tells me he's back from the fae village and Max wants me in his office now. I sigh and stand up without answering him. I already know I'm going to be in so much s**t for missing the mission. My very first one. And they're going to be mad about Nicole, I know that already. But what's done is done.

I kiss Nicole goodbye and tell her I'll be back. She wanted to come, but I told her that's not a good idea right now. I need to calm down my brothers first.

I walk to Max's office and I smell something really good coming from inside. It makes my wolf make his presence known for the first time since last night when I marked Nicole. He was not happy with me.

I knock on the door and Max calls for me to enter the room. I open the door and there stands all three of my brothers. I look to the side at Max's couch and see a girl sitting close to where Blake is standing. She's so beautiful, I swear I almost dropped to my knees. My wolf whines in my head. Who is this girl and why is my wolf acting like this?

"Rhett." Max says. I pull my focus away from the girl and look at my brother. He looks pissed.

"I'm sorry about missing the mission. I slept in. I know it's not an excuse, but it's the reason I wasn't there." I say, jumping right into why I'm here.

"We already know that." Max says. I furrow my brows. Why's he acting like this? He's being so

curt.

"He looks so much like you." I hear the girl whisper to Blake. Her voice is so sweet.

"Yes, that's what happens when you're twins, love." Blake answers her. Love? What the hell?

"What's going on here?" I ask, pointing to Blake and the girl.

"I met my mate." Blake says blankly. My eyes go wide. Holy s**t.

"You met our mate?" I ask.

"No, I said my mate. You marked Nicole, remember?" Blake asks. Oh s**t, he's right. That's why my wolf didn't tell me. Because I marked Nicole. I have a mate already. What have I done?

"Okay, yeah. I marked Nicole last night. That's why I didn't get up this morning." I say.

"Have you lost your damn mind?!" Max yells. This takes me by surprise.

"Why are you so mad right now? Who I mate with is none of your business. Besides, I didn't know my fated mate would be at the fae village." I say.

"Your 18th birthday was a week ago. You didn't even wait that long to find your fated mate. Some people wait 10 years and you just had to mark the one girl none of us like." Kaden says. I rolls my eyes. I knew they'd say that.

"Yeah, go ahead. Keep rolling your eyes. Maybe you'll find a brain back there." Max scolds me. I hear a small snort before the girl covers her mouth.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to laugh." The girl says quietly. Blake puts his hand on her head as he smiles down at her. This pisses me off for some reason. Am I jealous? I can't be. She's not my mate. She should have been, but she's not now.

"This is Selenia. She's going to be staying here from now on. Might start s**t with the fae, but we'll see." Blake says to me and I look up at him.

"Start what s**t?" I ask.

"Selenia was promised to the Fire Fae leader Sear Darkvale just this morning." Max says.

"Like an arranged marriage?"

"Yes."

I look back at the girl. Her name is Selenia. Goddess, how could I screw up this badly? Why did mark Nicole? I mean, I love Nicole, but my fated mate probably would have been so much better. I can feel a connection to her and she's not even my mate. I can't even imagine what it would feel like if Nicole wasn't my chosen mate.

Just then, the office door opens and everyone turns to find my mother staring daggers at me.

s**t.

"Rhett Anderson! I swear to the Moon Goddess I want to strangle you right now! How could you be so stupid to mark Nicole?!" My mom yells at me. I start to back away from her when she holds me in place with her magic. Crap.

I look behind her and see Aubrey and Ava giving me dirty looks. Great, they know too. All the women in this family are going to kill me. Perfect.

"Mom," I start, but she holds her hand up.

"Rhett, I cannot believe you did this. Did you ever stop to think about your brother? How this would affect him?" My mom asks.

"I did, actually. I knew Blake could still meet his fated mate. And look, he met her today. Everything is fine. It's not like we're next in line to be Alpha." I say. My mom freezes when she hears Blake met his mate. She turns to Blake and notices Selenia now standing between Blakes

legs as he sits on the arm of the couch. Her face lights up.

"Why didn't anyone tell me?! I'm so sorry you had to see me yell at him. He's stupid. I'm Mercury. I'm the mother to..." Mom looks around the room before turning back to Selenia, "...

well, to everyone in this room."

Selenia smiles at my mom. "Yes, Gamma Devin told me all about the family and the dynamic." "Well, Devin is basically another one of my kids, too. Same with Atlas, wherever he is." My mom

says.

"Probably won't see him for awhile." Blake chuckles.

"Why? Where is he?" Mom asks.

"With Reef." Selenia says.

"Who's Reef?" I ask.

"My best friend." Selenia says.

"He's Atlas's mate as well." Kaden says.

"What, did every unmated person find someone there?" I ask, annoyed.

"Yeah, basically. Besides Silas." Max says.

"Atlas has a mate, too?! This is amazing! I'm so happy for you all!" My mom turns and gives me

a look. "Where is Nicole? Shouldn't you be introducing her as your mate? Or was she too scared

to come face us?"

"I told her to stay back." I say.

"Well, go get her and go tell your fathers." Mom says and I sigh.

"Alright, I'm going to show Selenia around." Blake says. Everyone says goodbye to them as Blake leads Selenia out of the room and I watch them leave. My mom leaves with Ava and Aubrey and I'm left with my older brothers. Once the door closes, I turn back to them.

"I don't really want to hear it." I sigh, looking at the ground.

"You feel something for Selenia, don't you?" Kaden says. I look up at them and they both look

like they caught on to how I was feeling.

"I don't know. My wolf whined like he longed for her. I feel this need to be close to her but it's

weird." I say.

"We can ask Silas later what he thinks. He might know something about this. Right now, you

need to go see our dads." Max says. I nod and turn to the door.

"You should have waited." Kaden says and I look back.

"I know that now." I say. I leave out the door and head for my parents' room.

~Selenia~

Blake takes me from Alpha Max's office and we head downstairs. He said he wanted to show

me around the packhouse. We get to the first floor and he brings me over to the largest dining room I've ever seen. You could probably seat over 100 people here.

We pass by the kitchen and I see a lot of people inside busy cooking. Must be close to dinner

time. Blake shows me the rest of the first floor before we head up to the other floors. He brings me to a bunch of halls, telling me who stays where. He finally brings me up to the top floor.

"This is the Alpha floor. Technically, it's only for Max and Ava, but Max changed the rules and decided he wanted his family up here. Our parents took up the parent suite downstairs because it's basically a small apartment, but everyone else is up here." Blake explains as we walk. "This fancy door is Max and Ava's room. The next one is Kaden and Aubrey. Then Devin

and Kai is on the opposite side of the hall. Next to that is Rhett's room. I guess he'll share that with Nicole now. And mine is next to Kaden's."

We stop in front of Blake's door. He looks a little nervous. I feel the same. Is he hoping to have

s*x? Like, right away? I'm not sure I'm ready for that. Blake opens the door and I look inside. "This room is huge! You have this all to yourself?" I ask him.

"It's yours now too." Blake says. I look at him and he's smiling at me. "What's mine is yours. You

can use anything in this room."

I walk around and look at how he's decorated the room. He has a lot of dark green and brown.

Feels very earthy. Makes me feel at ease the same way the forest does. I notice two doors off to

the side of the room.

"There's more to this room?" I ask, pointing to the doors. Blake smiles.

"Yes. This door leads to the closet." Blake opens the first door and I gasp. "This closet is as big as my room back home. What the hell is this place?!" I exclaim. Blake

chuckles.

"This side is for you. You can hang up what you need or use the drawers here." Blake points to the dresser tucked in the corner. There's a matching one on the other side with all of Blake's clothes hanging up. I don't know why, but his clothes smell really good. Like how the air smells after a night of thunderstorms.

"I do not have enough clothes to fill this up. I bought all the clothes I own and they fit into a

single bag." I say.

"That was all you have? You had like four things in there." Blake questions with a confused

face.

"Yeah, Laurel likes us to live off the land as much as possible. The less clothing, the better. Less waste." I tell him.

"Does that rule say you can't wear underwear?" Blake asks me with a smirk. My face goes red. "How did you know..." I trail off from embarrassment.

"I noticed when you climbed in Flynn's back. Your dress was pulled up a bit too much." Blake

says. I cover my face.

"Well, if you must know, no underwear is a personal preference. They just bother me. But we

are forbidden to wear socks." I say.

"You're not allowed socks? What about the winter?"

"We wear slippers and boots made from leather." I tell him.

"There's no way that's warm." Blake says.

"It's not. But it's all I've known." I say. Blake shakes his head and turns around to face his

dresser. He opens the second drawer and pulls out something blue. He hands me a ball of

fabric. "The packhouse floors get really cold. Until I buy you slipper, wear these." Blake says. I look at him confused. How do I wear this ball?

"Um, this is a ball of fabric. How do I wear it?" I ask. Blake looks stunned for a second before

he laughs. He pulls me into him, kissing my forehead.

"You are so f*g adorable. Here, let me show you." Blake takes the ball and somehow unrolls it.

Suddenly, it becomes two separate pieces. This must be sock.

"Woah, how'd you do that?" I ask. Blake puts them together and rolls them back into a ball and

quickly undoes them again. I take them and try, but they don't go.

"It's cute that just rolling socks amazes you." Blake says.

"These are blue." I say as I sit on the floor to put them on.

"Yes, my mom got me blue socks for Christmas last year. No idea why. I usually wear black or

white." Blake says.

"You can get them in different colors?" I ask. Blake crouches down to my level.

"You can get them in any color. Sometimes even multiple colors." Blake tells me. My eyes go

wide.

"I want colorful socks." I whisper.

"I'll get you all the socks you want, love." Blake says as he helps me stand. "Let's go, I'll show

you the bathroom."

I follow him out to the other door. He opens it and it's nothing how I expected it.

"I expected white." I say.

"My dads like darker decor. They did black tiles and grey walls in every bathroom when they

took over. Even the bathtub and shower are grey marble" Blake says. I turn to him.

"You have a shower?" I ask.

"You've never showered?" He asks.

"We bath in metal tubs at home with water from the nearby springs." I tell him.

"Oh, you're going to love this then." Blake turns me to look at the bathtub and stand up

shower. My jaw nearly hits the floor with how beautiful they are.

"That's it. I'm never leaving." I say. Blake chuckles.

"I'm glad I was able to convince you with just colorful socks and running water." Blake laughs. I

turn to him.

"It may have been partly you." I say with a blush. I wrap my arms around his waist and he smiles down at me. Oh, yeah. It was definitely him. The bathroom and socks are just a perk. He's the only reason I'm here. And he's the reason I'm going to stay.
