“COME TO MY OFFICE IN THE EVENING.”

Everyone was shocked when they heard him. Then he left the room. After him, all of his officials followed him behind and left the room. Before leaving, Beta Lucas looked at Alina then he also left.

Crystal turned to Alina and frowned at her. “He knows you??”

Alina looked at her and didn’t say anything to her.

“What? Tell me, do you know him?”

Alina shook her head. She didn’t know what to reply. In front of her were the king’s parents. They also wanted to know the same question so she didn’t say anything about the king being her mate.

Alina stood up and said, “Weren’t you angry with me some moments ago that you didn’t even want to introduce me to the king, now what happened? You heard him and all the anger has gone?”

Crystal also stood up and said, “No, I am still angry with you.”

“I didn’t expect this behavior from you, Crystal. We are best friends. We can be angry with each other but that doesn’t mean If I get angry with you, I will forget to tell that you are my best friend in front of others.”

Alina walked out of the dining room. She was hurt by Crystal’s behavior. When the king asked who she was. Crystal didn’t reply. If Daisy would not answer then she had to get embarrassed in front of the king.

She went to her room and thought about the king. King Aaron was her mate? Everything was going over her head. She was very confused about everything. She didn’t want to worry about these mate things and wanted to live happily. But it looked like her life and fate had written something else for her.

She spent all the afternoon laying down on the bed. She heard a knock. She opened the door and saw a maid was standing outside.

“Yes?” Alina asked.

“Ms. Brown, King ordered you to visit his office.” The maid said and left.

Alina was in a deep thought. She almost forgot that he told her to go to his office in the evening time.

She ran to the mirror and looked at herself. She was looking okay. But still, she was feeling nervous. She didn’t know how she would react when she would go to his room. Would he ask her about her past or want to know about her future plans?

They met last night. He was still the same dangerous man for her. So she was getting more nervous.

She went to the other side where she met him last night. Today all the lights were on so she could see the beauty of this side. The big windows were really well decorated and had white blinds.

She asked a maid about the king’s office. One of the maids was confused because they didn’t know about the king’s order. But still told her the king’s office’s direction.

Alina started to walk into the big hall. She went to the last room and knocked on the door. “Come in.”

Alina heard and opened the doors. She saw Aaron sitting on his chair while reading a file.

She closed the door behind her slowly. She walked to him and stopped in front of the desk.

“Sit down.” Aaron said and put down the file on the desk.

Alina pulled a chair from the desk and sat down slowly. She looked down at the desk and didn’t look up at him. She was feeling afraid. He was not any normal wolf but The Lycan King. What if he would kill her now?

Aaron looked at her. “Why didn’t you come back to the pack with Crystal these years? I have checked that you were outside the pack for five years.”

Alina got some courage and slowly looked at him. “I-I..”

“Stop stuttering and talk clearly.”

Alina nodded her head and controlled herself from stutter again. “My parents were busy so I thought I should come back after my graduation.”

Aaron nodded and then asked, “Why did you come to this side last night? Nobody lives here except me. Then why did you come?”

“I mistakenly came here. I just came to this pack house yesterday. So I didn’t know where the kitchen room was. I was thirsty so I was searching for the kitchen.”

“Nice lie.”

“No! I didn’t lie. I was really thirsty.” Alina said.

She looked into his eyes. His eyes were so beautiful. It was dangerous but she could take all the danger for him because he was her mate. Moon goddess sent him for her.

Aaron stared at her for some time and started to speak.

“Listen to me very carefully.”

Alina nodded her head. She thought he would say something very important to her.

“You are not from any noble family.”

Alina looked down and nodded. He was right. She was not from any noble family. His parents somehow knew the former King and Queen. But they were not rich like others, they were poor. That was why her parents didn’t contact her and thought she would ask for money from them.

“But that was not the main fact. The main problem is you are not a Lycan.”

Alina was just listening to him without saying anything.

“It would be okay if you were an Alpha or a Beta female. But you are an Omega.”

Alina was looking down so she closed her eyes tight. She knew this would come.

“I am not a not a normal wolf. I am a Lycan and most importantly I am the king. How can a king accept an Omega who is the lowest rank?”

Alina felt that she was losing her breath. She knew he would not like her. Her rank would come between them that was why she was happy thinking that he was a fighter wolf, not any official. But fate played with her. Her mate was none other than The Lycan King himself.

Alina tightened her fists and controlled her tears. “Wh-What do you me-mean?”

But then she heard his reply.

“I DON’T WANT TO ACCEPT YOU AS MY MATE. YOU CAN’T BE MY MATE.”
