“I don’t want to accept you as my mate. you can’t be my mate.”

Alina could not stop her tears anymore; she did not know what to say to him. She stood up immediately and ran to the door. She opened the door and left the room.

Aaron was looking at her until she left the room.

He was not an ordinary man but the Lycan King.

He was very dominant and powerful. People were shaken in fear whenever they heard his name. He never talked this much calmly with anyone.

But today the matter was different. It was his mate.

Last night he came back after winning the war. He never lost any war. Winning was like his favorite hobby. Everyone knew that wherever he attacked, the pack had to be demolished whether he went there with Lycans or his normal fighter wolves.

Last night he came to the pack house at midnight. He didn’t want to wake up anyone so he went directly to his side area. But suddenly, he felt a strange smell. It was not weird but a very attractive smell. He understood it was the smell of his mate. He was happy that finally, he had found his mate and a Queen for his Kingdom.

But when he went to the girl he felt her smell clearly and then he realized that she was an Omega. He got very angry with the Moon Goddess about how she could give him an Omega as his mate. A powerful man who was ruling the whole werewolf creature got a powerless simple Omega? How could it be possible?

But when he saw that the girl was starting to run away from him, he got angrier. How dared she?

She ran with all her energy but she didn’t know how fast he was.

He grabbed her hand but she tried to push him. So he pushed her against the wall behind her. That was when he saw her face. Her eyes were closed. But she was beautiful. He could see her in the moonlight but even if it were dark, he could see her. Because he had the power to see anything in the dark.

He told her to open her eyes and asked her who she was but she didn’t spill a single word. He warned her to kill her then she answered that she was his mate. The answer was more like a question.

She told him about the king. He guessed that she didn’t know that he was the king and it amazed him.

He asked her some more questions and told her to go to her room and then he left her there.

Aaron thought about last night. He sighed and said,

“Such a weak Omega.”

“And that weak Omega is your mate.”

Aaron looked at the door and saw Beta Lucas was standing there.

He didn’t get angry with him. Because Lucas was his best friend. Though there was a huge difference between their ranks but they grew up together and Lucas was always there with him whenever he needed someone to share anything.

“Eavesdropping is a bad habit, gentleman.” Aaron said and took the file he was reading before Alina came to his office.

Beta Lucas closed the door. He came and sat on a chair and said, “Aaron.”

“I am listening.” He replied.

“I know it is a bit shocking to you. But I think this is your fate and you can’t reject your fate. Though she is an Omega, she is your mate.”

“I knew you would lecture me, that was why I didn’t tell you about it.” Aaron said while leaning his head back on his chair and closed his eyes.

“I am not lecturing you.”

“You know I can’t accept her, Lucas.”

“No I don’t know. Tell me why?”

“Dad will never agree with it.” Aaron said and opened his eyes.

“When did you need the old man’s permission for everything?” Beta Lucas got angry when he heard Aaron talk about his dad.

Aaron shook his head. “Why do you two always fight with each other?” He asked.

“I don’t fight with him. But I don’t like him. He treated my father like a robot. I can’t forget my childhood. He was the king who was very dominant but he didn’t have to be dominant over his own officials. He could be less severe with his officials. Now see, because of his behavior, he had to live a lonely life without any friends. None of his officials come to meet him and inquire about his health.” Beta Lucas said and sighed.

Aaron was looking at him. Aaron knew he was talking about his father but he was not wrong. His father was merciless with his officials too. Because of him, Beta Lucas’s father lost his life. But nobody could object about anything to him because he was the king and a beta had to choose his Alpha or his King over his life.

“Lucas, I am sorry about your dad.” Aaron said.

“You don’t have to be sorry for someone else’s mistake. You are the best king and you know how to control everything. You know who to be brutal with and who not to be with.”

“Are you buttering me?” Aaron asked and laughed.

This man could only laugh with his friends. Nobody has seen this side of him. He always wore a mask of brutality which he didn’t want to take off ever.

“I think you should take some time.” Beta Lucas said.

“About what?”

“About her.”

“Nothing is happening. She is very weak. How can she be my queen? She can’t. She has no power at all. She doesn’t have any strength compared to other girls.”

“Each and every thing is not about the power Aaron. When did you become greedy about powers? You have always believed in earning it. So let her do the same.”

“But she can’t change her rank, Lucas. “

Lucas knew Aaron was right. It was kind of difficult for Aaron to accept an Omega.

But he observed Alina. She was not a greedy woman who wanted to seduce the king. She was afraid because she didn’t even know Aaron was the king.

Beta Lucas still tried to convince him to think about it. “But Aaron you should-” Aaron stopped him from saying further and said,

“AN ALPHA DOESN’T WANT AN OMEGA MATE, HERE I AM THE LYCAN KING. HOW CAN I?”
