Alina was in her room crying and thinking about what her mate told her.

He told her that he did not want to accept her. She knew this would come but not like this.

She thought about how she spent her life these years alone. She thought he would ask how much hard work she did and lived on her own. But no, he didn’t ask any of her sufferings. He only told her how weak she was.

“I know I am the lowest-rank wolf. I am an Omega. But how can I change that? I was born like this. Is it my fault? Moon goddess, why are you doing this with me???

I lived my life without my parent’s love. My parents didn’t try to contact me. They didn’t try to know if I was okay or not. If I am alive or not. I worked hard and earned to pay for my daily needs. I studied hard to get scholarships so that I could suffer less.

I never thought about any mate. I never tried to dream of any. Because I know love is not written in my fate.

But why did you give me a mate Moon goddess?? Why?? You knew that I was okay with life but still you gave me a mate who is superior to any other rank. How can he accept me? He is right. It is not his fault. My fate is playing with me.”

She was upset with her fate. She had never imagined that her mate would tell her to reject her.

At the night,

Everyone came to have dinner. But Alina didn’t come. Aaron was starting at the empty seat.

Daisy also looked at the empty seat and asked Crystal, “Where is Alina, Crystal?”

Crystal shook her head. “I don’t know Aunt Daisy. Maybe she is busy with something.”

Delta Darren frowned at her. “Didn’t you want to be the most important person in her life? Because of that you even acted angrily with her. Now, what happens to your concern? You don’t have any worries about your best friend?”

Crystal was silent. Seeing that Atlas looked at Delta Darren angrily. “How dare you talk with her like that?” He shouted.

“Don’t ever shout at my officials, Dad. They are not only my officials but also my friends and members of my family. The earlier you get it, the earlier it will be good for us.” Aaron said while eating his food as if he just said a simple fact.

Atlas was furious. But he could not argue with his son. He knew how aggressive he was. If his wolf takes over, he could kill him too.

Daisy tried to lessen the tension in the dining room so she called a maid and said, “Tell Alina to come here quickly. Tell her I called her.” The maid bowed to her and left to call Alina.

Alina was thinking about his life when she heard a knock. She didn’t open the door but she asked, “Who?”

“Ms. Brown, please come to the dining room.”

“I told you I don’t want to eat.”

“Ms. Brown. Queen mother Daisy called you. She told me to tell you that she has called you.”

When Alina heard it was Daisy who was calling her she replied. “Okay, I am coming.”

Alina got down from the bed and went to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror. She was looking ugly. Her eyes were swollen and her hair was messy. She washed her face and wiped with a towel.

She didn’t want to look good anymore. Why would she think about her look when her own mate didn’t want to accept her?

She combed her hair which was messy before. Then she got out of her room and went to the dining room.

She entered the room and saw everyone was there.

She didn’t look at anyone and looked down. “Did you call me, Aunt Daisy?”

Daisy nodded and tell her to sit on her chair.

She sat beside Crystal as usual.

She was upset that Crystal didn’t come to meet her. But she remembered that she somehow behaved rudely with her today. So it was again her own fault.

“Start eating, my child. Why didn’t you want to eat before?” Daisy asked.

Alina felt gazes on her. Everyone was looking at her.

She avoided the gazes and said, “I was sleepy so I didn’t want to eat.”

Atlas was furious. But he could not argue with his son. He knew how aggressive he was. If his wolf takes over, he could kill him too.

“It’s okay. First, eat and then go back to sleep okay?”

“It’s okay. First, eat and then go back to sleep okay?”

Alina nodded her head and start eating.

Everyone was surprised by Daisy’s behavior. She was a dominant lady when she was the Queen. She was an Alpha female. She never showed mercy when it’s about the fight or the manners. But today how softly she was talking with Alina amazed everyone including her husband and her son.

Aaron was awestruck by her mother’s behavior with Alina. ‘How did this girl capture my mother’s heart in one day? She is an ice queen. Nobody could melt her heart, not even my father.’ Aaron thought and looked at Alina.

He saw her face was looking pale. She was eating while looking down on her plate and her hair was down. So most of her face was covered by her hair.

Beta Lucas saw how his best friend was staring at his mate. So he wanted to tease him. “I think you have to get a Queen now.”

Hearing that everyone stopped eating. Crystal’s eyes brighten up. She looked at Aaron with a pair of delightful eyes.

Aaron turned his head to Beta Lucas and raised an eyebrow.

“What? You are the king and we need a Queen for us.” Lucas said.

Atlas looked at Lucas and said, “For the first time you are talking about a genuine thing.”

“Oh please, Mr. Robertson. I always talk about genuine things, I don’t need any approval from you.” Beta Lucas said and smiled at him.

Atlas got infuriated at him. This man always tried to humiliate him. If his son didn’t give his officials that power, they didn’t have the audacity to talk with him like that.

Suddenly everyone heard Delta Darren, “What happened to your eyes, Alina?”

Now everyone looked into her eyes. Alina didn’t reply to him and kept silent.

Beta Lucas looked at Aaron who was staring at her mate and asked Alina to see his best friend’s reaction.

“DID YOU CRY, ALINA?”
