“I LOVE YOU, ALINA.”

Alina patted his cheek. “‘No, no, no. Don’t close your eyes.

Please open your eyes.”

She looked up at others. “What happened to him? Tell him to open his eyes.” She cried like a mad woman.

The pack doctor sighed. He also felt emotional when he saw his king breaking down like this.

“I will try my best. But I am afraid he is poisoned. Please let me treat him first.”

They took Aaron back to the pack house and laid him down on his bed.

Daisy ran while crying. “What happened to my son???”

Silvia was shocked as she watched Aaron in that state.

She looked at Alina and looked like she was in shock.

Alina was really in shock. She did not know that Aaron was in love with her. In fact, she thought she was the only one who was in love.

She didn’t know that he planned to surprise her on the wedding day. She didn’t know, after knowing that she was the killer of his father, he still thought her as his Queen.

She was stunned by every word of Aaron. He had never poured his heart in front of her before.

She was not in her right mind. She could not take a deep breath. Her heart was running fast as if she was the one who was wounded.

Daisy glanced at her. “W-What is wrong with Aaron, Alina? I’ll me. They are not telling me anything. He was okay when he left the pack house. How did you all find him?”

Alina could not reply to her. Because she did not hear her. She was in another world now. She was only thinking about Aaron. His voice, his words, his every statement were flashing in front of her eyes again and again.

Daisy started to cry. She had lost her husband, she could not lose her son as well.

Silvia patted Daisy’s shoulder and tried to calm her.

The pack doctor told everyone to leave Aaron and him alone. He needed to treat him.

Alina was standing in front of the bed like a statue.

“Let’s go.” Delta Darren told her.

She didn’t reply to him as if she was deaf.

“Alina.”

She didn’t reply.

“Alina”

Still no reply.

“ALINA.” Beta Lucas patted her shoulder.

“Huh?” She came to her senses. She looked around herself and saw she was in Aaron’s chamber.

She could not remember how she got there. She turned to Lucas and others.

“H-How is he?”

The pack doctor came to her. “All the loyal doctors are coming. We all treat him. We need to remove the poison and stitch his back.”

Alina nodded and left the room. She did not want to lose any single second of Aaron’s treatment.

She stood outside with others.

She glanced at Daisy who was crying. She walked to her.

Daisy looked at her when she went close. Alina hugged her.

They cried together. “M-Mom, h-he is not well.”

A few doctors came and talked to the officials.

Beta Lucas said,

“Don’t spread any of the news in the kingdom.”

All of them nodded and entered the chamber.

Alina was broken inside. She slid down a corner. She pulled her legs against her chest and rested her head.

“How did all of this happen? Can someone explain me?”

Daisy asked.

Theta Cooper nodded at her. “Queen Mother, we heard Alina’s voice through mind link. She was asking for help.

When we reached the forest we saw Aaron fighting with rogues. He didn’t shift and his back was already injured at that time.”

Alina looked up and said sadly, “He was seeing me off.

But suddenly an arrow came to us and he saved me by taking the arrow for me. He saved me twice, when he tried to save me from the leader of the rogues.”

Gamma George shook his head. “No. You saved him too.

You killed that wolf with your power and saved him.”

Daisy frowned. “Power? What power are you all talking about?”

“‘She has some power. The power of forces and something.” Beta Lucas said.

Daisy strolled to Alina and bent down. She stroked her hair. “My child, you saved my son.”

Alina bit her lower l*p. “I can’t tell you what I am feeling right now. All the fault was mine. He tried to save me but ended up like this.”

“No, don’t think like this. He is a fighter. He had never lost any war. How can he lose today?”

Alina and the others waited for two hours. All the doctors told them everything was okay and Aaron would be fine soon. Everyone felt relaxed.

“Can we meet him? Is he awake?”

“Yes, you can meet him. He will wake up soon. But not now. Maybe tomorrow morning. He is in anesthesia.” A doctor said.

Daisy ran inside, Silvia and others followed her.

Alina did not go inside. The pack doctor came out and looked at Alina.

“Can we talk?”

Alina nodded. “Is there anything wrong?”

“About him?”

“About his health.”

“Yeah. That’s why I came to tell you. I know he will never tell you this. But he is my king and the way he broke down today, I wanted to tell you something.”

Alina felt nervous about what he would say to her about Aaron’s health.

“You are his mate and only mates can heal each other.

You know that right?”

“Yeah.”

“It’s about his wolf, Alina.”

“What happened to his wolf?”

“Your am was poisoned when Crystal stabbed you with a wooden stake. But Aaron decided to heal you after knowing it. I told him before about the poison. You are an Omega and need to heal fast too. But I warned him that his wolf would become weaker. He ignored that and healed you.

Because of that, he could not shift today. His wolf became ineffective slowly.”

Alina took a step back. She could not believe her ears.
