Aaron tried to keep his eyes opened. He raised his head slowly and looked at her.

“A-Alina.”

Alina caressed his hair and looked at his officials.

“CALL THE PACK DOCTOR NOW.”

Theta Cooper nodded. “We mind linked him. He is coming.”

Alina looked down at Aaron who rested his head on her chest.

“I did so wrong with you.” He muttered.

Alina shook her head. She was very confused as to why the most powerful Lycan King did not shift. What happened to him? What was he hiding?

“Don’t say all of this now. Just try to breathe calmly.

Everything will be okay.”

Aaron shook his head. “Listen to me.”

Beta Lucas and others were shocked when they saw he was not healing.

“Why are you not healing? What is wrong with your wolf??”

Aaron lowered his head as if he was in pain. “Let me talk to her.” He said and paused. “Alone.”

Beta Lucas and others nodded and walked out from the side of the forest. They went far and waited for the pack doctor.

Alina anyhow sat up and put Aaron’s head on her lap.

She could see him now properly.

“Don’t talk now. We can talk later, okay?”

“Y-You are leavin-“

“I will wait for you to be healthy. Then I will leave okay??”

Alina said and stroked his hair.

She could not believe that the most powerful man now looked so fragile in front of her.

“I have been giving you so much pain. I could not even apologize to you properly.” He said with a shaking voice.

Alina got that he was talking in pain. She shook her head.

Something was tugging her heart. She was feeling scattered. Why was he talking like this?

She stared at the man who she always loved. She had never wanted him to get hurt. She never hated him though she said that. Inside her heart, he was always the only one for her.

“Don’t forgive me.” Aaron said.

Alina gasped. She thought he would say to forgive him but he surprised her.

“I always tried to be a successful king, but as a mate, I became a loser. I have never thought to hurt you, Darling.

But the situation made me crazy and I had to do that.

I thought the woman whom I trusted the most made fun of my trust.”

Alina saw his tear for the first time. She wiped his tears.

He was crying? She could not take it.

“I told you. We will talk about it later.”

Aaron shook his head again. “No, let me talk. I don’t know if I will get the chance again or not.”

“Why are you saying this?? Don’t say!”

“Alina, don’t hate me. I have never seen anyone else in your position. You are my only Queen. I have never given your place in my heart to anyone else and I never would.”

Alina was crying as she listened to him. Aaron slowly lifted his hand and wiped her tears with his thumb.

“Don’t cry, Darling. I am sorry for everything. “

Alina hugged him. “No, don’t talk like this.”

She felt broke again. She realized that she had no one in her life and he was the only one who she wanted to have.

She loved him a lot. How could she let him go?

“Why are you talking like this?”

“If I go-“

Alina did not let him finish and kissed his lips. It was just a peck but it felt like heaven for them.

“Don’t. Please don’t. I have no one in this world. You are the only one. You are my mate. I cannot live without you.”

Aaron smiled at her. He cupped her cheek with one hand.

His other hand was injured.

Alina was crying while shaking. Aaron felt pain every time her body shook, he wheezed.

Alina screamed, “WHERE ARE YOU ALL, WHERE IS OUR PACK DOCTOR??? WHY HASN’T HE COME YET?”

All the officials ran to her and Aaron. The pack doctor came behind them.

“I am here.”

“Please do something immediately. He is feeling pain.

Erase his pain.” Alina requested desperately.

The pack doctor bent down and touched Aaron’s back.

Aaron hissed in pain.

“D-Don’t hurt him.” Alina said.

“I am just checking his b***d.” He touched Aaron’s b***d and smelled it.

He frowned but his brow raised.

“What happened?” Delta Darren asked him.

He stood up hurriedly and said,

“We have to treat him immediately. Let’s take him back to the pack house, please be quick.”

Alina and others were shocked when they saw the pack doctor’s reaction.

“Let’s go then.” Beta Lucas said.

Aaron was still staring at Alina. Alina looked at him with her worried eyes.

“You will be fine. Let’s go.”

She felt frightened. She did not want to think about anything negative. He had to get well soon for her.

Alina tried to move his head from her lap but he stopped her by grabbing her hand.

“C-Call me Mate, just one last time.” He said with his shuddering voice.

No one had ever heard him stuttering or breaking down like this.

His officials who were his friends got mad at him.

“Aaron, it is not the time for this. Your life is in danger.”

Aaron shook his head and continued to look at Alina.

“Mate.” Alina called him ‘Mate’ after a long time, again.

A bright smile reached to his eyes as if it was the last thing he wanted to hear.

“I didn’t tell you that, on our wedding day, I had planned to make you my Queen before our marriage. I had managed all the council and decided on the Crown ceremony first. I wanted to give you a surprise. But my fate did nọt give me the chance.”

Alina was stunned. She felt like dying, She could not be more emotional. Her heart was a spectacle. She was feeling lost.

“I wanted to say another thing-“

Aaron paused. He took a deep breath. His eyes were closing slowly. Before he closed his eyes he let out,

“I LOVE YOU, ALINA.”
