“Mom?”

Aaron stared at his mother who was looking at him with a pair of weak eyes.

Aaron could not believe her mother was talking.

Though he knew witches could help his mother, he did not think it would affect her like this.

“Are you okay, mom?”

Daisy nodded her head slowly and looked at Alina.

Alina woke up with a deep pain in her body.

“My head.” She tried to touch her head but felt pain in her hand too.

She looked around and saw it was Aaron’s chamber.

She slowly sat up and tried to find Aaron in the room.

He was nowhere.

She was about to get down, the door opened and Aaron entered the room.

“You woke up?”

Alina nodded her head. She looked out through the window. Sunshine was coming from outside.

It did not look like early morning.

Aaron understood her. “It is noon. Are you feeling hungry?”

Alina shook her head. She again tried to get down but this time Aaron sat in front of her and did not let her get down.

“]ust relax. You are weak right now.”

Alina frowned and looked at him. Her eyes fell on his swollen palm. “What happened to your palm?”

Aaron looked at his palm. When he ran to her without caring about the fire, he burned his hand. He was a Lycan so he was healing fast.

“Nothing, just a simple wound.”

Alina stared at his wound for a few seconds then she realized about last night.

She immediately looked at him. “What happened to Aunt Daisy? How is she?”

Aaron bit his lower l*p while noticing her care for his mother.

“Thank you, Alina. You helped her a lot.”

Alina frowned at him. She thought she could not save Daisy. She felt lost.

“I-Is s-she-“

“She woke up after you fainted.”

Alina exhaled deeply. She closed her eyes and felt a burden left in her heart.

“Finally I did it.” She mumbled.

Aaron stood up. “Do you want to see her?”

“Is she okay if I go to her?”

Aaron nodded. “You broke the spell and she got back to her sense. She knows the whole truth now.”

Alina stood up and slowly tried to walk. Her whole body was full of pain. The spells and distraction both affected her omega self.

Aaron put his hand around her shoulders and held her hand. She turned her head aside to him.

“Let me help you.”

Alina nodded. She was feeling weak anyway. Taking a little help would not damage her.

Alina came to Daisy’s room. She was feeling nervous before entering the room.

She saw Daisy sitting on her bed. Silvia and Selena both were talking with her.

When Daisy looked at Alina, her eyes enlarged.

She got down from the bed and Alina stepped backward.

Tears streamed from Daisy’s eyes. “A-Alina.”

Alina got what Daisy was trying to say.

She looked down and heard her quietly.

“My child, Mom did so wrong with you.”

Hearing Daisy calling herself ‘Mom’, Alina could not Control her tears.

Aaron let her stay with his mother. Silvia and Selena also left them alone. Alina was standing in front of Daisy alone in the room.

“I don’t know how to apologize to you. I am so sorry.”

Daisy cried aloud.

Alina was still looking down. Though it was not Daisy’s fault, what she did was unforgettable. Because of her words, Alina would have died. Her son only believed in her blindly. He tried to kill her many times.

Daisy saw Alina and did not talk to her. So she slapped herself. “I slapped you with my this hand. I should punish myself. I hit an innocent girl.”

Alina looked at her and stopped her.

” Don’t do this, Aunt.”

Daisy cried. Because of her foolishness, so many things happened. She could not believe that witch did this plan and set up all things just like her thoughts.

Daisy hugged Alina and sobbed.

“How can I ask for forgiveness from you? You have to bear so many things. I should have believed you, my child. You said so many times, you tried to tell us the truth but we did not listen to you. I even let my son make you his slave. How cruel I became at that time.”

Alina patted her back. “It’s okay, Aunt Daisy. It was not your fault. Crystal spell bound you.”

Daisy shook her head. “No. I don’t know what to say.”

Daisy moved back and fell on the floor.

“Aunt Daisy!”

Alina bent down in front of her.

“I don’t know how all of this happened. She killed my husband. I saw you in her place. I tried to kill you and gave my words against you. You could have died because of me. How can I make everything right, Alina? How?”!

Looking at Daisy’s reaction, she knew Daisy actually felt bad from the inside. She was just a pawn in Crystal’s game. Crystal killed her life partner, her mate. She was the one who got hurt the most.

Alina rubbed her arms. “Calm down. You are not totally okay. You are still weak.”

Alina made her stand up. She took her to the bed.

“Please lie down. You need some rest.”

Daisy looked at Alina and grabbed her hands.

“My child, will you ever forgive me?”

Alina smiled at her sadly. “I have nothing inside my heart for you. There is nothing to forgive. You said what you saw. You lost your mate and saw me killing him. I told you I was not at fault.”

Daisy lay down and Alina covered her with a quilt.

“You saved me after I did so many things to you. How can I thank you?”

You don’t have to thank me. You showed care to me when I was alone here. I saw a mother figure in you and you gave me that love too. I did that because of that.”

Daisy nodded her head.

“I am also going back to my room.”

Yeah, you are not okay too.”

Alina nodded. Daisy stared at her when she was leaving.

After a few minutes, her son came to meet her.

“Mom.”

Daisy was still crying.

Aaron was shocked that her strong mother was crying again. He had seen her crying very few times. She cried some time after his father’s death. But she was now breaking down.

“Don’t cry, mom.”

Daisy shook her head. “I am sorry, Aaron.”

Aaron was confused. “What about me?”

“I destroyed your life, my child. I know you love her.”

Aaron was silent. Daisy closed her eyes. Even if she wanted to go back to the past, she could not do anything right.

“You were happy with her. Your father did not like her because he wanted Crystal as his daughter in law.

When Crystal saw she could not stop. you, she killed your dad. She gave me a shock and made me believe that the killer was Alina.”

Aaron was just listening to his mother.

“Say something, my son. Are you angry with your mother?”

Aaron shook his head. “No, mom. You are not alone.

I am equally the culprit of her suffering. If that day Lucas did not help her to run away, she could not stay alive. I gave her a death sentence, mom.”

“Lucas helped her?”

“Yes, mom. He believed in her. I, the Lycan king, became foolish. I could not save her from this conspiracy. I hit her, I did so many things with her. I don’t deserve to be his mate, mom.”

Aaron felt heart broken. He realized how he behaved with Alina all this time.

She screamed and said that she did nothing but he did not believe her.

“It is all my fault. I was the only one who said it was Alina.”

“No, mom. I gave chances to Alina to prove herself to me. But she lost her every chance. Because Crystal made everything up before. Every time Alina tried to prove herself, Crystal destroyed her chances while giving proof against her.

They remembered how Crystal was the one who noticed b***d on Alina’s clothes, the maid, and the guard who gave proof against Alina.

“I should have trusted her in the first place.”

Daisy felt sad for her son.

“It’s good that you didn’t kill her and take her with you. Otherwise, I could not forgive myself.”

After talking for some more time, Aaron told her to take some rest. Daisy agreed with him.

Aaron was lost in his thoughts. He was getting out but stopped when he heard his mother call him again.

“Aaron,”

Aaron turned around and asked, “Yes mom?”

“You marked her. That means she is your mate now.

I know I did wrong to promise Selena’s parents about you two’s marriage. But I would ask forgiveness from them for breaking the promise.”

Aaron was quietly listening to her.

“Aaron, my child. Your father called Alina’s name and tried to say something about the Queen. Now realized what he tried to say,
