“About the Crown Ceremony. You should become the Queen as soon as possible.”

Selena stared at Crystal. “Do you really want me to be the Queen?”

“Yes, Selena. Otherwise, why would I tell you this?”

“You don’t have any intention to become the Queen?”

“No.”

Selena nodded. “Then tell me why did you wear a Queen’s dress in the last village fair?”

Crystal was taken aback. But she did not show it on her face.

“I can’t justify this to you. It was a nice dress and I liked it. That was why I bought it. You know I was royal but never lived here to celebrate all of this so I purchased one. I didn’t know it was a queen’s dress. And many other people wear the same dress as mine. I thought it would not be a problem.” Crystal explained to Selena very cunningly.

Selena did not believe her. “Why don’t you like Alina?”

Crystal sighed. “She killed the man who was a father figure to me. Uncle Atlas was always there for me. Not only that, she always loves me like his own daughter. How can I tell you how much he helped me in my life? He supported me in everything. I will never forgive Alina. She even tried to blame me when I didn’t help her to escape.”

Selena felt bad when she saw Crystal crying. She thought Crystal was an evil woman that was what Daisy told her. But today looking at her break down, her perception of Crystal had changed.

She patted Crystal’s shoulder and said, “Don’t cry. One day she will get her punishment.”

“I know you will punish her and remove her name from Aaron’s heart when you become the Queen.” Crystal said and hugged Selena.

Selena thought Crystal was thinking about her good but she could notice the smirk on Crystal’s lips when she hugged her. Selena melted in Crystal’s fake tears.

Selena walked out of the garden after talking with Crystal.

She saw Silvia asking a maid about Alina. She took a plate of food and walked to the King’s residence.

Selena frowned at her. Silvia was freely going and coming out of the king’s residence just because she was the Beta’s mate. Otherwise, it was forbidden for anyone to go there.

Only the officials were allowed to go to the king’s residence. But giving Silvia the same advantage was not good.

Selena was staying here for almost two months but she did not get the chance as Silvia. So now she was feeling low about herself.

Selena looked around and tried to find Daisy. She wanted to talk to her immediately and did not want to waste any time at all.

Selena asked a maid about Daisy.

“Where is the Queen mother?”

“The Queen mother is in her room.” The maid replied to Selena.

Selena nodded and headed to Daisy’s room. She was convinced by Crystal.

She stopped in front of Daisy’s room and knocked on the door.

“Come in.” She heard Daisy.

Selena opened the door and entered the room.

Daisy was lying on her bed but when she saw Selena she got down from the bed.

“What happened, Selena? Did Crystal say something to you?” Daisy asked.

Selena looked down and replied to her, “Aunt Daisy, I want to talk to you about your promise.”

Daisy stared at her, waiting to listen more.

“I want to talk about the promise you made with my parents. You promised them that King Aaron would make me his chosen mate. But he did not listen to you and marked Alina.”

Daisy patted her head. “You see I scolded him for this.”

“No, Aunt. It is not about scolding. What about me? I have my own life too. He is living with another woman. He made her his slave. I have not told you about what he did at the party.”

Daisy frowned. “What did he do?”

“Alina came to the party without an invitation and messed up things with a guest. When they were talking to her, King Aaron came there and supported her. He scolded all the guests and told her not to raise a finger at her.”

Daisy became furious. Her son was crossing all the limits. At first, he was living with that woman and now he started to support that woman too.

Daisy looked at Selena’s upset mood. “Don’t worry, I will talk to him.”

Selena shook her head. “No, Aunt. Talking is not what we can do. I am afraid Alina will grab his heart again. He will make her his Queen.” Selena said exactly the same way how Crystal told her.

Daisy got mad. “No! This can not happen.” Anger was rushing in Daisy’s heart.

She could not accept it. There was a pain in her heart and the flashback to what she saw at her son’s wedding came to her eyes.

Her husband was getting killed by that woman. And she was helpless. But now her situation was not better either. Now she was helpless too.

She did not know what was grabbing her son’s mind that her son was not believing her but that woman.

“I will talk to him, Selena. I know my responsibilities. I was a Queen too. I will never break my last promise. I told your parents that you will be my son’s chosen mate and the Queen. Though he marked someone else but only you will be his Queen.”

Selena did not believe in Daisy. Because she saw that. In front of King Aaron, no one could talk. He did not listen to anyone, not even his own mother.

“He will never agree with it, Aunt.” Selena said with a lower tone.

Crystal was a dominant Queen once. It hurt her ego when Selena said that. She felt that Selena was saying that Aaron would disagree with her and neglect her wish.

Daisy said in a furious voice,

“Today he has to choose between that killer and me.”
