Chapter 309 He Must Be A Bad Guy

Bobby flicked the lighter a couple times and said, "Uncle, come closer. I'll light a cigarette for you!"

"You brat, don't play any tricks. Or else I'll kill you!" the man threatened Bobby.

Bobby smiled, "I'm just a child. What could I possibly be doing? Do you think I'm playing some sort of trick on you?" Bobby then looked at the crowd.

"That's right. He is just a kid. What tricks could he possibly be playing?"

"Little boy, light a cigarette for him!" someone shouted.

The man approached him with a cigarette in his mouth.

Bobby approached him slowly and said, "Uncle, you have to come closer to me so that you can light it!"

The man narrowed his eyes and said, "Okay."

Bobby was about to light the cigarette but it seemed this man was trying to play a joke of his own. Every time Bobby went to light the cigarette, the man lifted his head so Bobby couldn't reach. "Humph! How can you make fun of a child?"

"Yeah, the kid is so cute. Stop being difficult!"

The crowd were getting quite aggrieved.

The man sharply raised his head again, only this time Bobby did manage to light something. He lit the man's beard!

A burning smell instantly filled the air!

"Hey, you brat! How dare you?" the man roared.

In a hurry, Nancy held Bobby in her arms and growled at the man, "You're the one who was bullying a child. You're a grown man and you're trying to make it difficult for the boy. Don't you feel ashamed?" "He lit my beard. I've been growing it for ages! He has to pay for that!" the man said forcefully, reaching his arms out.

"Help! Someone call the police!" Nancy was already protecting Nadia and now she also had to protect Bobby.

She was too petrified to look for her phone so she shouted for help.

"If anyone even thinks about calling the police, I will kill them!" The man glared at the crowd and left shivers running down their spines.

Nancy wasn't expecting this to go so far. She didn't care what happened to her but she was so worried about her kids.

Whatever happened, she had to protect her kids.

"How about I apologize to you, okay? He is just a kid and it was all just an accident. I'm sure you're a reasonable adult..."

"I'm the furthest thing from it. I don't give a damn about what I do to you!" The man roared, "You'll pay for what you did boy. Today is the day you die!"

the man blared out and stretched out his hand to hit Bobby.

"You terrible man, I burned your beard on purpose. It was so ugly that I had to," Bobby spat at the man.

'Bobby has always been so smart. Why is he acting so recklessly?' Nancy thought.

"Bobby, stop it. Apologize to him!" Nancy scolded.

"No, he's such an awful person. I don't want to apologize to him!" Bobby said stubbornly.

"You brat! How can you be so disrespectful to me? I'll kill you right now!" The man was furious. He reached out to grab Bobby, and was about to throw him to the ground. Nancy was so stunned that she didn't know what to do. Nadia burst into tears

"Mommy, I'm scared. Bobby, stay on your feet. Hold onto him and stay on your feet..." Nadia cried and put her face in her hands, not daring to look at them anymore. "You bad man!" Bobby put his hands on the man's head and bit down on the man's ear.

The man howled in pain. He raised Bobby high in the air, "Little boy, I'll beat the life out of you!"

"No, please don't! He's just a boy!" Nancy shrieked anxiously.

The man had quite the hulking figure. If he even threw Bobby to the ground, he actually could die.

'Tm going to smash him to death. He started this!" The man grinned wickedly, lifting Bobby in his hands.

Nancy let go of Nadia and pounced on Bobby. She had to save her boy no matter what.

It was too late though. Nancy saw Bobby fly out of the man's hands.

"Bobby!" Nancy screamed.

"Brother..." Nadia cried.

Just when everyone was expecting to hear Bobby crash to the ground, a pair of long arms emerged and plucked him from the air.

Everything happened so quickly that no one could process what just happened.

With her eyes wide open, Nancy smiled when she saw who caught Bobby, "Edward, when did you come back?"

Edward Wu shrugged and put Bobby down gently. "I just got back today and wanted to surprise you. I didn't expect to meet you here."

He didn't eat much on the plane back here, so he wanted to come to a restaurant to fill up on some good food. He didn't expect to meet Nancy in the restaurant.

"Great!" Nancy ran over excitedly and clutched onto his arm like a child. "You don't know how much I've missed you! You didn't call me though."

Edward Wu raised his hand and pinched her nose, "I wanted you to stay with me, but you insisted on coming back. How could I not be angry? I may not have called you, but you didn't call me either, did you?" "I was busy..." said Nancy jokingly.

"Hey, who are you?" the bearded man shouted angrily.

"I think it's pretty obvious. You see these kids? I'm their dad!" Edward Wu hesitantly said.

Bobby and Nadia craned their necks in shock. 'We already have a father. Who is he?' they thought.

"Finally someone to take responsibility. That boy burned my beard. How are you going to pay for it?" the man said aggressively.

"If you want me to pay for it, can I get you a fake beard? It'll be like a wig. What do you say?" Edward Wu looked scornfully at the man in front of him.

"What? Forget it. I'm not going to argue with you. How about giving me ten thousand?" the man demanded.

Edward Wu took his credit card out and waved it in the air. "I have a lot of money, but it's definitely not for you!"

The man was not impressed. His blood boiled while he stared Edward Wu down. He rolled up his sleeves and was about to hit Edward Wu.

Edward Wu stepped back and protected Nancy and the children behind him. "If you want to fight, bring it on. You aren't going to get any money!" The bearded man suddenly realized the mistake he made. He took notice of Edward Wu's impressive build and he'd obviously been trained. He couldn't back down with all these people watching though.

So he took a step forward and said, "You burned my beard and you won't repay me. You are shameless!"
