Tanner’s POV

We were all going to leave today, to head back to our packs. I am glad that we were able to get Gabi back home so quickly, as I had been telling people it might be a week. I guess I forgot who I was dealing with because I would hate to be on the bad side of Alpha Black, or Alpha Heath, as they get things done.

Now I am basically related to them. Good thing I love Gabi with all my heart and would die to protect her so there should be no problem there.

My parents were so happy that Alicia had found her mate, and that he was a good man. Anthony would be coming back with us for Alicia to pack her stuff up, and then they would be taking her car to Rived Bed, living with him as the Beta female there.

Mom couldn’t be happier as she is excited about the possibility of even more grandbabies now and she cannot stop smiling, Plus, the River Bed pack is closer to us, so she is only a little over an hour away from us, and that is really what makes mom happy. Alan, Jameson, and Hudson will be coming to our pack with us for two reasons.

We are about to start the first part of the competition, so they will be there for a week, to get this off the ground.

The second part is that they will be looking for their mates there at B***d Rose. Gabi told me last night before bed that she would like us to have a town hall meeting to introduce them, and for all to attend unless they were scheduled for patrols.

Gabi felt like with them in the same room, they should be able to find them quicker, and she made it mandatory for all to some, as sometimes the Omegas didn’t attend as they felt these announcements weren’t really for them. But Gabi really likes everyone to have an opportunity to learn, and at least be able to defend themselves.

Gabi is hoping that they find their mates when they come to visit us, and she is almost bouncing with excitement right now, and we haven’t even left yet. We didn’t really have to pack as we only had the other set of clothes that Von had gone out and bought us.

So really, the only bag the clothes came in was our luggage, and we took it down to grab breakfast. The dining room is kind of quiet as everyone was aware of what had happened last night and was trying to be respectful of the Wilsons at breakfast.

We saw them sitting there, and neither of them was eating, they were just sitting there staring at their coffee cups. I cannot imagine how Luna Everly is feeling, as what she had done had to be the hardest thing that she would ever have to do.

Gabi headed over to them and sat next to Everly and rubbed her back for a moment and then took Luna Everly’s hand when she reached out for Gabi. None of them said a word, but I think just her being with them helped. She just sat there for a while with them, and I went and grabbed some food and sat with my parents to give them their time together.

Luna Everly didn’t have to be the one who ended Taylor. I would have done it to keep them from having to do it. I am sure the werewolf council members have had to pass the judgment down before, and I know Alpha Heath would have helped as well.

I am sure if they asked, he would have done it. He knew her for what she was right off the bat and was not swayed at all by her words. He is a good, strong man. I don’t know what he had to go through for him to be as good as he is at what he does and trained his team do, but I would like for our pack to emulate his. He leads with strength and integrity, and I hope when people look at my pack, they see me doing even better than my dad did, and my dad was a great Alpha too.

Gavin is super excited that the trainers are coming back to our pack, and he has already asked to ride in their SUV with them. They know how excited he is about them coming to train and they graciously allowed him to ride with them.

Easton was heading back to Ever Green with Alpha Heath and Luna Von to go back to Angela, as the emergency is over. He will come in two weeks and help the trainees for the last two weeks. Angela was pregnant and he didn’t want to leave her for long periods of time, so he would be here for about a week and a half, to get the trainees’ training completed, before the ones who passed go to Ever Green to complete their training, and then test there.

I know Gavin is chomping at the bit to go there and to make the team.

He started working out with me when I trained, but he just did it to be the best fighter that he could be, not to get on the team. Now that he has the chance to let our pack have a team as well, he is all in on wanting to make the team. I think he will make the team because he is really focused.

Alpha Heath and Luna Von came and sat with us, occasionally looking over at Gabi and the Wilsons, as they just silently sat there at the table. Stone had grabbed a biscuit and a coffee and came over and sat at the table with them. He looks like he had a hard night too.

Taylor was not a good person, but I know that it had to be hard dealing with how it ended. It was time to go now, and we were all quiet in the entryway as each of us thanked Alpha Wyatt and Luna Everly for allowing us to stay here at Crimson Shadow.

I saw my dad shake Alpha Wyatt’s hand and then leaned in between them and said, “Taylor was who she was. She made choices that led her to be what she was. That is not on you two, as her parents. That was solely on Taylor. She made choices and each bad choice led her to where she ended up.

But that was HER choice. You loved her and took care of her, you provided for her, and she abused your love to get “stuff “She didn’t value you two as she should have, and she had a deep flaw in her.

She was young and, like the rest of us, we all hope our children can change the trajectory of our lives to live a full and valuable life. That was not Taylor’s path.

Even the Moon Goddess let you know that, because Taylor’s wolf didn’t come out to heal her, and she could have, she could have fixed her windpipe, and then healed Taylor. Her wolf not doing that, let me know that even the Moon Goddess knew that there was no redemption for Taylor.

As hard as it was, know that it was the right thing to do. Don’t focus on the bad right now, look forward to the good, and hearing your grandbabies footsteps in the hallways, because you will be hearing that soon. I know I am looking forward to it as well”.

I stood there watching my mate glowing as she laughed hard and then grabbed her belly in surprise, as she probably felt the babies kicking from her laughing so hard. I saw joy and happiness on her face, and I knew right then that I would never love anyone as much as I loved Gabi. I

shook Alpha Wyatt’s hand and hugged Luna Everly and leaned down to tell her, “I will let you know when Gabi goes to deliver so you can both be there to see your grandchildren when they arrive. It will probably be in the next two weeks”.

Luna Everly smiled at me and put her hand on my cheek and said, “I am so glad my daughter has a mate that would do anything for her. I can tell how much you love Gabi. I am so happy you have each other to lean on. I love how quickly you got everything done, with getting people here to rescue Gabi.

I am so happy that she finally has a good life that she loves now. I hate that we allowed Taylor to do what she did. It breaks my heart to think about what she did to Gabi and the babies. She truly was a monster, and we never realized the extent of what she was capable of.

I guess we just thought she was just a spoiled narcissist until she pulled this. She deserved the punishment that she was issued, and originally, I wasn’t going to carry it out. Wyatt was actually going to do it until she started blaming her actions on everyone else.

When she threatened Gabi again, I’d had enough, and knew you two, and my grandbabies would never be safe while she was alive. I had to do it because she wouldn’t have let anyone else get that close to her”. I saw a tear go down her cheek and Alpha Wyatt wiped it off her face and then tucked her into his side.

I told them both, “There wasn’t anything that you did to create what Taylor became. She did that because she wanted to do that, she allowed herself to become a heinous version of what she was meant to be.

She was spoiled, and I get your thought process on it, but none of what you did for Taylor, helped Gabi at all. In the end, we are all free to make whatever choices we want and to do what we want to, but we are NOT from of the consequences of our actions”.

They both gave me a hug and told me to take care of Gabi. I told them that we would be bringing the babies to see them at least once a month to visit them for a few days, and that brought a real smile to their faces. I also told them that they were welcome to come and visit us as well at B***d Rose.

I was glad to do it and we would be coming full circle, as I had told Alpha Black that we would be there for 2 days a month, and at Heath and Vons for 3 days a month, and I would give the same to Wyatt and Everly because I heard the pain in her voice last night when she was talking to Taylor about what they went through after losing Gabi.

They didn’t give up and they never stopped thinking about her and what she was going through. They didn’t give up on her, and I won’t give up on them.

They will need Gabi and the babies to get past this. The babies would be a welcome distraction for them both.
