Chapter 63

Taylor’s POV

It is Sunday at noon, and I am all packed. Stone was ready to go and Caden was the holdup. I had told him to pack and that we were going to leave today. I had been texting the dark witch l’use, Morgan Windslow. She said that she was getting herbs from the forest today, but that one of her coven friends would be at her house at one pm today and I could get my order then.

I could just pay this other girl when I arrive. She didn’t give a name for her replacement, and I really didn’t care, as long as I got my stuff. I know she is always out there getting s**t in the forest, and I couldn’t care less.

I just needed the spells I ordered to get past any Alpha command, I was not going to have my

dad catch me again, unprepared. Plus if Dana is successful, they will be coming for me, and I need to be able to lie, even under Alpha command.

Caden finally shows up and gets into the back seat. No one wants to sit upfront with me, they are both in the back and I growl low in frustration. They should be glad to be seen with me, but I guess it doesn’t matter, as my back seat tint is even darker than my front windows, so no one will know I have anyone with me until I get to Red River anyway.

I was going to wait, but I hate driving in the rain, and it is supposed to rain the next two days. I am trying to stay ahead of that, plus my hair looks really bad in high humidity and won’t lay flat. I told them I had a quick stop to make, and it looks like a regular little house on the street, and no one would know a witch lived there to look at it with all its pretty, colorful flowers.

Morgan is actually very pretty, but not much of a talker. She likes me to text her, and she isn’t long to talk when I come by. She has long black hair, and purple eyes, they are actually pretty cool looking and when I asked her if she wore contacts, she got mad at me, apparently, it is a sign of her being a part of one of the higher and very respected magical families.

They are usually good witches, but a hundred years ago something bad happened, I didn’t care enough to really listen to what she was saying when she was telling me about it. It is not like there would be a test on it or something and frankly, I didn’t have time for a full-blown conversation with her. I was there for a reason and to reus place an order and didn’t need all the chit-chat.

I am also going to see if there is a love spell there too, as I may need it coming up soon after Dana gets Tanner to sleep with her. I know he is supposed to be going home with her today, and she was pissed at me when I asked her if she had left Ever Green yet and she was saying something about “Tanner not being ready to go, and how mad she was at him”. Yada, yada, I didn’t care anymore. They would be leaving later on today, and Dana would get it done.

She wants him pretty bad and said he was a pretty good lover, so I still want a taste myself. Can’t hurt to already be prepared to go when I see Tanner again. pull up and text her to see if we could include another spell in with my order and two minutes later her reply came back, brisk, as usual, with a “Yes, tell Elina when you see her”.

So, I guess I am just going to go in and show Elina this text then. I enter her house and close the door after me. Morgan’s house is always so dark, and cold. I guess it is better for the potions to keep them cold.

“Hello, is anyone there” I called out and see someone coming from the back towards me. I see a pretty girl, who looked a little like Morgan come out and she also has purple eyes.

“Can I help you?” The girl asked me with her eyebrow arched.

“I had placed an order two weeks ago for a spell that would keep me from being Alpha commanded to tell the truth. Morgan said it was ready. I also am in great need of a love spell, she said that she had something here” I told her.

“What kind of a love spell? There are several and you need to be specific about what type you need” The girl tells me.

“I love a man, and he loves his mate. I need him to stop loving his mate and only love me. Can you do that?” I asked her.

“Oh, of course, we do that a lot more than you would think. Please have a seat. I can have that mixed up in five minutes. You just need one vial, right?” the girl asked me.

“Go ahead and do two of them. Sometimes he doesn’t trust me enough to drink what I give him, so I may have to have someone else deliver it to him. I need to make sure that he will drink it” I tell her and sit back on the couch and get on my phone.

I text Stone that it will just be a minute and I play two games of Candy Crush and the next thing I know the girl is in front of me, with 4 vials. Each set of two looks identical to each other and I am glad that they were put in similar vials so I could tell them apart.

“Which one is the one to break the alpha command?” I asked her.

“The taller vial. I put the love potion in the one with the heart-shaped base, so you would know by looking at it, what it was” she told me, and I glanced down and see that indeed the bottom of the shorter one did have a heart shape to it, and I am pleased that she thought of that.

“I appreciate you doing that. How much do I owe you for them all?” I asked her.

“$300 covers it. The first two were already made, but Morgan said that you hadn’t paid her yet” she told me.

“Money well-spent, I appreciate it. I needed this and it was a sudden order, so here is $350, for your trouble. You don’t know how much I needed this to be done. Morgan was dragging her feet on it, and I am glad she isn’t here now” I said and head to the door and put my sunglasses on, before exiting. I have everything I need to take over as Luna of the B***d Rose pack now.

I can pass a questioning by any Alpha, no matter what they ask, and I can give Tanner one and he will fall in love with me. I am so happy I am almost skipping to the car. I hope that Elina girl is here more often, as Morgan was being a b!tch about not wanting to do a love potion.

Elina just whipped it up and didn’t whine about the fact you, “Shouldn’t mess with people’s emotions” “Shouldn’t play with love spells” and my favorite, “You cannot force someone to love you, you are playing with fire, and you would be sorry if you pursue it”.

Morgan was on repeat with that one. Maybe next time I will just ask for Elina when I needed to get something done, and just skip Morgan, and the lecture too. I load my package in the back carefully, as it is the most valuable possession that I own, and back my other bags around it, so it won’t move at all. I am so happy right now. I am so glad something is finally going my way.

Gabi will get heartbroken, and she deserves it for messing me and my plan up. I have been trying to get Tanner for over a year now, and I am finally going to get what I deserve. I get on the highway and head for Red River. I heard a couple of text notifications sound on my phone, but I am driving, and I am charging my phone up anyway.

I will check it when I get to Red River. We are only an hour away from there, anyway. I am occasionally looking up at Caden who is looking out the window and looks like he wants to be anywhere but here, and that kind of pisses me off. I mean, he should count himself lucky being here, he might end up getting lucky if he plays his cards right.

He feels me looking at him and looks right at the rearview mirror at me like he can tell I am looking at him, and I know he can’t see through my sunglasses. He then shakes his head and goes back to looking out the window.

I don’t know what his problem is with me, but he needs to thank his lucky stars that I even want him. I will remind him of this when we get there. I pull up to the gate and the security there is great. I mean there are about 5 guards standing there and three of them come over to ask me who I am and why I am there.

As I answer a bigger SUV pulls up behind me, with a white Toyota Camry behind it, and another big black SUV behind it. They are obviously all together and the guard I was speaking to tells me to, “Wait here” while he walks back to the first SUV.

They speak with each other for about a minute and the gate opens to let the three vehicles through. I am watching them pass by and I see Gabi in the Camry and she passes right by without seeing me.

I get excited as now I know for a fact that she will be here for me to be able to see the show, and I look up to see Caden looking at me, with so much dislike in his eyes, and I have no idea why. “I see you saw your sister here. Why does that make you smile so big?” Caden asked me.

“She took something from me, and she needs to pay for that. She earned whatever she gets from now on out. I don’t know why you care, it isn’t your business anyway, Caden.

She totally ruined my birthday and my party. She deserves to have her heartbroken for it” I told him. “What did she take from you, Taylor?”

Caden asks me and holds his hand up when Stone goes to say something. The guard comes back up to my SUV and tells me that I can go up to the packhouse and drive straight ahead for three miles. I start driving forward and I glanced up into the rearview mirror at him. I smiled at him and said, “She took my mate from me”. Caden looked stunned, and said, “You know who your mate is? You are only 17″.

“My mate is Tanner Wright, the Alpha of the B***d Rose pack,” I tell him, and a look of fury passes in his eyes, and I can see him getting madder and madder. I see the two black SUV’s parked side-by-side, and I see Gabi and another girl out there talking, and I see Heather and a cute Guy approaching them quickly. I park my car and get out to watch the show.

I can hear Caden and Stone in my SUV arguing with each other, but I didn’t care what was going on, I wanted to get close enough to see what Heather was going to do to Gabi, as she had told me about some guy who was going to give Gabi some much-needed payback whenever the training team arrived, and I guess he is here to deal it out to her, he better hurry before the rest of her team comes up to protect her.

I see the surprised look on his face, and I heard the girl with Gabi call out in a strong voice, “l, Eden Collen Thomas, of the Ever Green pack, accept your rejection, Jack Walker, of the Red River pack”. I see the girl stumble a little and Gabi grab her arm to help hold her, and I heard my SUV door slam and Caden walking up to me.

I see Jack stumble and fall down to his knees before he could stop himself. “So, Tanner Wright is your mate, right, Taylor?” Caden asks me. “Yes, that is what I told you wasn’t it?” I tell him and go to walk off. “How do you know that? You are only 17, you cannot sense your mate yet.” Caden said to me and puts his duffle bag on the ground.

“Because that is who I WANT as my mate. I will make him love me” I told him and shake my head at how dense he is to not get that. “Thank you, Taylor, for setting me free. I Caden Walker Adams, Gamma of the Crimson Shadow pack reject you, Taylor Ann Wilson, daughter of Alpha Wyatt Wilson, as my Goddess-given mate” Caden said to me and I hit the ground hard, and he stumbled back a little bit, and then fully stands up.

Everyone near us is looking over at us, including Gabi, and that girl who just rejected Jack. I see her looking at Caden with a surprised expression on her face and I see my mate, who just rejected me run to her and take her up in his arms.

That is MY mate, what the hell is happening here? I see them k!ss each other and look all goofy happy at each other and I see her smile falter and asked to speak to him to the side for a minute. Gabi goes with them both and after a few minutes they both have those stupid smiles back on their faces again and they get into her car and drive away.

What in the freaking hell is going on here? Theard my car door slam again and I see Stone walking up to me, and he is furious. “I swear Taylor, you are the worst person I know.

Caden was your mate and he tried. He tried so hard, but you are the worst mate he could have been given. Looks like the joke is on you, he just found his second chance mate AND left our pack, so we have no Gamma anymore. Gabi got him in at Ever Green.

I swear you won’t be happy until you have completely destroyed our pack, will you?” Stone told me and then walks away to the packhouse with his duffle bag. Shit, dad is going to be really pissed off about this, but how the hell could I have known that he was my mate.

This is not going to be good for me, I look up and Gabi is watching my face, and she has no expression that I can tell on her, but I can feel she is angry. Well, guess what you stupid b!tch, I will still be getting to see you in pain and suffering when Dana gets Tanner back to B***d Rose.

I heard a door close on the SUV, and I glance over to see Tanner walking up to Gabi and her holding her arm out to him, he comes to her side and leans over and k!sses her on the head. I see him tilt his head to k!ss her and then I see the mark, they have marked each other and I roar out in anger and frustration.
