Chapter 50

Tanner’s POV

Gabi sent me on down to talk to Alpha Heath and Alan about what to do as far as a test, but I could feel Gabi’s emotions.

I could see Heath was being watchful of the conversation on the stairs as we edged closer and closer and heard her say to them that she had parents, and Heath was so happy to hear it, but I was upset that she would think that I would do anything to her to hurt her enough to reject me.

I wouldn’t. I just marked her, I love her, I would never intentionally hurt her, she has been through enough.

She told them both in all seriousness that she would kill Taylor. I believed her. I could hear it in her voice, and I didn’t have to see her face as she spoke, as she in all seriousness told them repeatedly to tell Taylor to stand down. I pray to the Goddess that Taylor does too because I cannot lose Gabi.

I will kill whoever causes it myself. Gabi won’t have to do it. Alpha Wyatt and Luna Everly both wore the same shocked look, as Gabi walked away from them and straight into Heath’s arms for a hug. I could see the unshed tears in her eyes, and I could feel how upset she is through our bond.

Gabi knows as well as I do how serious this is. I stepped up the stairs and called out to Alpha Wyatt and Luna Everly to stop, that I needed to say something as well. “Alpha Wyatt, you showed me last night how much you trust me, so I will make this easy on you.

I am tearing up our treaty when I get home, so you can destroy your copy as well. We are no longer allies, as you chose to let your daughter Taylor continue to lie, and lie again, instead of Alpha commanding her.

I guess I should thank you for doing that, as I know now how little faith and trust you have in me. Additionally, I have placed Taylor on the banned list, and she will not be allowed access to my pack ever again. I love Gabi, and not Taylor, and Taylor still continues to threaten us.

I will tell you this, in addition to what Gabi just told you. If Taylor manages to do something to tear me and Gabi apart, tell her that war WILL occur. I will leave nothing standing here.

I will wipe out your whole pack. I know that you will warn her, and she will say the words that you two want to hear, and then she will go and do what she wants.

To prevent any confusion for you, I will go to war, and I am pretty sure that Alpha Heath will join in, and I mean to level this pack TO THE GROUND if we go to war.

Do with it what you will, I already know you cannot stop Taylor, so be prepared for the outcome”, told them and then went back down to the first floor and mind linked my parents that we needed to go soon, and I can see how upset Alpha Wyatt and Luna Everly are.”

They both know that it is true as well, they know she lies right to their faces, but they chose to believe her, and not me, even after I asked them to Alpha command her.

It took Alpha Heath telling them that he could tell that she was lying to get them to do what I asked

them for, to begin with. Well, if she continues on, it will result in war.

They will warn and threaten her, but she still will not care. My pack is bigger than theirs, and I have double the warriors.

I will speak to Heath about this too, as I am very concerned about what Taylor is going to end up doing. I want him to know that I would NEVER hurt Gabi intentionally.

I see Taylor at the top of the stairs, and I don’t know what all she has heard, but she isn’t smirking anymore. Maybe with the outcome of her own death, she may realize that she needs to stop this. But, no, she is playing an act.

I see her put her nail into the side of her eye and start crying and heading for her mother, who immediately, takes her into her arms and glares at me. Taylor smiles down at all of us and then goes back to sobbing to her mother.

I looked at Gabi and saw that she saw the same thing and I held my arm out for Gabi to come to my side, and I held her close and sniffed her neck because Rafe wanted to go ahead and kill Taylor right now.

“OK, since we are no longer allies, I would appreciate you being off my packlands in fifteen minutes, young Alpha. I was going to apologize to you, but since you are so immature as to not be reasonable about this, we can end it now. I will tear up our treaty, and we are done as of today. Per your wishes”, Alpha Wyatt called down to me.

“It was never My wishes. It was Taylor’s. She lied, you believed her and refused to Alpha command her, because you know her so well, that she couldn’t have possibly done anything wrong. Alpha Heath had to force you to do it. I asked you to Alpha command her.

I told you the complete truth, and I cannot get an apology from you. Taylor lied and continues to lie, and you stand there coddling her. I hope your pack members hear me and realize that it is your faith in your lying daughter that WILL result in the end of your pack”.

I called back to him loudly and he flushed as he realized that everyone that had just heard what I said would relay it until the whole pack knew that Taylor would be getting all of them killed. I see a few people stop to look at us.

I also saw that Taylor had stopped crying and was not looking behind me at the growing group of people who were now discussing what had happened. This is good, because when it comes down to it, they will turn her over, to keep themselves from being killed.

I see the first little trickle of fear cross her face and as the group continues to grow, Alpha Heath speaks out to Alpha Wyatt as well.

“I will throw in with Alpha Tanner in support, as well. If Taylor does something to break Gabi and Tanner up, that is squarely on her will also throw my pack in support of Tanner. I have every confidence that he can get the job done, but I have even more warriors in my pack, and I will tell you this also.

I understand the need to protect a child. But you two wrote Gabi here off as dead, and she was right, you could have spent time with her last night. Instead, you decided to back this horrible excuse for a daughter that you have left.

As Alphas, we have to make decisions every single day for the betterment of our packs, and yet you allowed your daughter to lie right to your face, with obviously no punishment given for what she had done. There is no possible way that you and Luna Everly didn’t know how bad Taylor had gotten.

It was clear to me that she was lying, and yet you refused to Alpha command her to tell the truth. When you did, you finally got the truth. But you would accuse Tanner of horrible things, and show your lack of faith in him, and what a bad Alpha that you, yourself, have become.

He has been a good Alpha and I am proud that he and Gabi found each other. I see it in her, Taylor will do it, and I want all of you to know that when war comes, it WILL come because Taylor has never been given any limits or consequences for her actions.

That the loss of all your loved ones, will squarely lie on her shoulders”, Alpha Heath finishes and heads to the door. Luna Von and Luna Liz had arrived before the end of my speech and so they heard what had been said to Alpha Wyatt and Luna Everly.

We headed for the door to go outside, as my parents came down the stairwell, and I had already mindlinked my dad on what I had said. I saw my dad stop and say something quietly to Alpha Wyatt, and I saw both Luna Everly and Taylor’s mouths drop open before my father continued down the steps and pats me on the shoulder as we exit the door. I looked back at Alpha Wyatt and just shook my head.

As he earned every bit of this, and actually more, they stand there on the stairs as if in shock. Taylor has given up even trying to play innocent and now looks torn like she doesn’t know if she wants to continue on, but then I see her eyes snap up at me and that smirk hit her face and I already know that she is going to continue on with her plan.

I smiled back and told her, “I see your smile and I know you made your decision to continue with your plan. I just hope that you know, Taylor, that over 50 people down here on the first floor also saw you smile and decided when you did it, that you were going to carry on with it as well.

So, when war comes, they will know exactly who brought it to their door, and your own people may be the very ones to take you out. I hope not, as that will rob us of our payback. Just remember Taylor, you are free to do whatever you want in life, but you are NOT free of the consequences of your actions.”

I looked over at the group still standing in the lobby and the dining room and they were all looking at Taylor, and they knew I was not joking when I told them what the penalty was.

They all saw it, they saw her smile at me as she made her decision, and she cannot talk her way out of this one. Her parents are now looking at her too. I called back to them as I exited, “Maybe you should alpha command her to ask if she was lying.

Or why was she hanging outside your office when you said you wanted time to speak to Gabi. She blocked your wishes on that too, but I guess you didn’t think about that either. In your rush to protect your lying, extremely manipulative daughter, I guess that you forgot you asked her and Stone to stay away from your office. Stone followed your instructions, and yet you two STILL make excuses for this completely worthless she-wolf.

I guess I will see you later when we go to war over Taylor’s bad decisions, because we all know that she is going to do what she wants to do. I am just glad that your pack will pass along who fault this was, as I know they know the real Taylor, even if her parents don’t”. I shut the door and headed down the steps.

I cannot believe that Taylor was willing to end up killing her whole pack to be Luna of my pack. It doesn’t even make sense. She must be out of her mind. I just cannot imagine my life without Gabi, and I wish Taylor would just leave us alone, but after seeing her smile, I know she is going to continue with her plans.

I just hope we can see it coming when she does it, so we can try to avoid it. If Taylor has me ever hurt Gabi, there will never be anywhere safe for her to hide from me. I will find her, and I will end her.
