Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 457 A Bastard Born of A Prostitute

"Mr. Vale." Tommy greeted.

He had heard Ambrose was out, so he drove over and waited outside the police station. When Ambrose finally walked out, Tommy rushed up to him, but Ambrose just ignored him. "Where's Bill?" Tommy asked, noticing Ambrose was alone.

"He still in there." It had been a close call with Stuart, but now Bill was stuck at the police station, jumping from one mess to another.

Whether Stuart found out or the cops knew, Bill was in deep trouble either way!

"Mr. Vale, please get in the car." Tommy opened the door for Ambrose, who slid in without a word.

Once inside, Ambrose shut his eyes and leaned back. The past couple of days at the station had worn him out, and the thought of dealing with Stuart again made his head throb. "Did Stuart say anything when he got back?" Ambrose asked, eyes still closed.

"Since leaving the station, Mr. Stuart Vale hasn't been to the office. I haven't seen him these past two days," Tommy replied.

Ambrose's eyes snapped open. Stuart hadn't been to the office? Where had he been?

A sense of unease crept over Ambrose. Why had he been feeling this way lately?

"Mr. Vale, where to now?" Tommy asked.

Where to? The office or home?

"Let's go to the office." After a moment, Ambrose decided. Going home alone would just make him overthink. "Okay, Mr. Vale."

Ambrose shut his eyes again. Tommy glanced at him in the rearview mirror, his eyes flickering before he looked away.

Ambrose tried to rest but couldn't sleep. He opened his eyes and asked, "Did you call the cops?"

"Yeah," Tommy admitted. "I saw Mr. Stuart Vale acting shady, so I..."

"You're pretty sharp." Tommy acknowledged, then stayed quiet.

Ambrose couldn't tell if that was a compliment or not. Tommy's call had helped him escape for now, but with Bill detained, it felt like he hadn't escaped at all.

Tommy dropped Ambrose off at the office. As Ambrose walked in, he noticed everyone looking at him differently. They used to greet him with respect, but now there was something else in their eyes.

Ambrose quickly got into the elevator and headed to his office on the top floor, only to find all his stuff had been moved out.

"What's going on?" Ambrose asked Tommy.

"I don't know," Tommy said, just as surprised. "When I left to pick you up, everything was fine. Let me go ask."

"No need!" Stuart's voice cut through the air. Seeing him, Tommy wisely stepped aside.

"Dad, what's this about? I went to the police station and came back to find you've cleared me out?" Ambrose asked.

"What do you think it means?" Stuart's voice was cold as he kicked Ambrose hard in the stomach and grabbed his collar. "Ambrose, if I had known keeping you around would get Todd killed, I would've strangled you back then!" Got Todd killed? Strangled him back then?

Ambrose felt a surge of anger and injustice.

"Is Todd your only son? Am I not?!"

Ambrose had been holding onto this hatred for years, but he was always scared of Stuart. He never dared to raise his voice and always showed respect.

But what did that get him? To Stuart, Ambrose was worth less than a dog compared to Todd!

"A bastard born of a prostitute deserves to be my son?" Stuart spat out, his words dripping with disgust for Ambrose and his mother.

"Your mother was just a prostitute. She should've been grateful to sleep with me, but she dared to have a child to blackmail me.

If I had known you would be such a disaster, I would've dealt with you long ago. You bastard, your existence is a disgrace to the Vale family. Why did Todd have to die instead of you, scum!" "Enough!" Ambrose snapped. He grabbed Stuart's collar and shoved him back, pinning him against the window.

They were on the top floor, and the window was half-open. One more push, Stuart could be thrown out. "Ambrose, what are you doing? Are you crazy..."

"Shut up!" Ambrose roared, his eyes blazing with fury. "Do you think I wanted to be born to a prostitute? Does it mean I'm not your child?"

"Stuart, I've been obedient and cautious for so many years, always following your orders. When you scolded me, I didn't even dare to breathe. And what do I get in return? You calling me a bastard?" "Todd did whatever he wanted, causing trouble all the time, and you treated him like a treasure. I worked hard and obeyed, bringing so much profit to the company, but you just ignored it!" "Let me tell you, I earned my position today. I climbed up step by step with my achievements. Far East International is thriving because of me, this so-called bastard!" Ambrose continued, "Now, just because of someone else's provocation, you want to clear me out? You're dreaming! Call and have all my things moved back to my office, or I'll push you out and let you reunite with Todd!" "Ambrose, you wouldn't dare!"

Before Stuart could finish, Ambrose pushed harder, and Stuart's upper body was already out the window. In panic, Stuart instinctively grabbed Ambrose's arm tightly.

"Ambrose, let's talk this out. Don't get excited, don't get excited!"

"Move my stuff back!"

"Mr. Stuart Vale, Mr. Ambrose Vale has been wronged. Saying such things only hurts him more. Please be rational," Tommy interjected, pulling Stuart's arm as if to prevent him from falling. From Stuart's angle, he could see a tiger head tattoo on Tommy's right forearm.

Seeing the tattoo, Stuart shuddered. Tommy continued, "Mr. Stuart Vale, you should agree to Mr. Ambrose Vale's request. Far East International really can't do without him." Stuart turned to Tommy's face. After a moment of hesitation, he quickly agreed, "Okay, Ambrose, I'll have your things moved back right away. Don't get excited, pull me in first." Ambrose, still furious, didn't move. Tommy used his strength to pull Stuart back in. Once Stuart's feet were on the ground, he finally felt secure and collapsed to the floor in relief. Meanwhile, Alaric had watched the entire dramatic scene unfold clearly on his computer screen.
