Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 425 The Kids Begin Planning to Deal with the Villains

"Ms. Storm," Tommy greeted Stellan, trying to keep it cool.

"Sorry about the wait, it's been a crazy day. Thanks for hanging in there," Stellan said, looking a bit frazzled.

Tommy grinned. "No worries. I kinda dropped in outta nowhere and messed up your flow, Ms. Storm."

"Not at all," Stellan replied, then turned to the kids. "Hey, you guys chill in the car for a bit. I gotta chat with Tommy about some work stuff. I'll be right there."

"Okay," the kids said, heading out to the car without a fuss.

Once they were gone, Stellan asked, "So, what's up?"

"Mr. Vale sent me," Tommy said. "I don't know all the details between Mr. Vale and Mr. Knight. I'm just doing what Mr. Vale told me. He wants to give you a piece of land for free and put me in charge of it."

Tommy pulled out a map of Arizona and pointed to a circled spot. "This is the land he's offering. It's prime real estate in Arizona."

Stellan checked out the location. It was a sweet spot, and the land was huge. Buying it would cost a ton.

"Mr. Vale is really generous," Stellan remarked.

"Yeah," Tommy said, looking a bit uneasy. "Mr. Vale wants to give you this land for free, but he doesn't want it to go public to avoid any drama. So, Ms. Storm, after you get this land, please keep it on the down-low that it came from Mr. Vale."

"Seems like Mr. Vale is not just generous but also pretty humble, dropping all that cash without wanting any credit," Stellan said, eyeing Tommy. "Tommy, what's his angle?"

"I wouldn't dare guess his motives," Tommy said carefully. "I'm just following orders. If any info leaks, it's on me."

"Ms. Storm, we had some misunderstandings before, but I swear I had no bad intentions like Mr. Knight suggested. I just want to clear my name after getting canned." "But things are what they are. I can't change the past. Now, I'm just working for Mr. Vale. I'm asking you, Ms. Storm, for my uncle's sake, please keep this under wraps."

Stellan looked at Tommy, thinking about his past actions and what Alaric had told her. Alaric said Tommy seemed like a straightforward guy, but if he had hidden motives, it could be bad news. Stellan really hoped Alaric was just being paranoid.

"This land didn't come from Ambrose. I can promise not to make it public, but it's not just between us. I can't control what others do," Stellan said.

"Ms. Storm, if you keep it quiet, others will too. Thanks for understanding." Tommy bowed a bit. "Ms. Storm, I'll let you get back to it. Later."

Stellan watched Tommy walk off, then hopped into the car. As soon as she settled in, Harry piped up, "What did Tommy want?"

"Just some company stuff," Stellan replied.

"So, it's hush-hush?" Elisa asked, raising an eyebrow.

Stellan chuckled, "Work stuff. Even if I explained, you wouldn't get it."

The kids pouted, clearly not satisfied. Then Caspian, trying to act all grown-up, said, "Mom, if he's hanging with the bad guys, we shouldn't get involved with him. We gotta steer clear of people like that."

"I know, don't worry. I won't," Stellan said with a helpless but loving smile. "You three are so young, yet you worry about so much."

"Well, we got unlucky with such troublesome parents," Harry sighed dramatically. "A weak CEO and a doctor forced to play CEO. It's a tough gig for us."

Stellan went quiet. Once they got back to the villa, she headed straight to the bedroom to check on Alaric, while the kids made a beeline for the study and locked the door.

"Tommy's definitely shady. Why else would he be hanging with Ambrose?" Elisa analyzed.

"Elisa, not bad," Harry said, surprised. "You actually used your brain. Congrats."

"Elisa's always been both pretty and smart. You just don't see it," Caspian shot back, then got serious. "Alright, let's focus on our next move."

Caspian, like a general, ordered Harry, "Harry, you're the hacker. Can you hack into Far East International's surveillance?"

"I can, but your tone is annoying," Harry shot back. "Caspian, didn't your teacher teach you to be polite when asking for help?"

"I'm not asking; I'm ordering. Those who can do must listen to those who can think. You got the skills, I got the brains, so I call the shots," Caspian corrected. "You can give orders, but I won't follow them. Bite me!" Harry said defiantly.

Seeing Caspian about to blow a fuse, Elisa quickly jumped in, "Caspian, if he won't follow your orders, I will. What do you need me to do? Spy on the enemy?" "No way, that's too risky. I can't let you do that," Caspian said. "Just keep studying. I'll let you know when there's a task."

Elisa beamed, "Okay, I'll listen to you."

Harry snorted. "You two keep chatting. I'm gonna show off my skills. When I catch the bad guys, I'll be the hero, and you'll be jealous!"

After Harry left, Elisa quickly comforted Caspian, "Caspian, don't mind Harry's words. I'll always back you up."

"Elisa, you're the sweetest and cutest," Caspian said with a warm smile.

After that, Harry headed to the second-floor study, while Caspian and Elisa went to grab a bite, and Stellan went to check on Alaric.

Just as she was about to enter the bedroom, she heard Alaric's phone ringing inside, and he had already picked it up.

Stellan paused and waited outside, listening closely to Alaric's conversation.
