Chapter 363 A Mysterious Package

Upon hearing this, Stellan flashed a proud grin. They scooped up Caspian, Harry, and Elisa, and all headed back to the Knight Mansion.

Since Cormac and Rowena were coming over for dinner, Alaric and Stellan decided to whip up something together while the kids chilled in the living room. Cormac and Rowena showed up one after the other. Seeing Alaric and Stellan personally cooking, Rowena felt pretty flattered.

"Mr. Knight, are you okay? Shouldn't you be resting? How come you're cooking?" Rowena asked, all worried, seeing Alaric in the kitchen.

"It's cool," Stellan jumped in, "He was a special forces soldier. Even though he's supposed to be resting and can't do heavy work cooking's no biggie." "Why does that sound kinda sarcastic?" Alaric asked.

Stellan smirked, "Not at all, I'm totally praising you."

Rowena couldn't help but smile. Watching Alaric and Stellan's daily affection made her envious and eager to date, but Cormac still wasn't on board.

"Need any help?" Cormac asked, rolling up his sleeves and heading to the kitchen door.

"Nope, you're a guest. We got this covered. Go chill in the living room with Rowena, it'll be ready soon." Stellan then frantically signaled to Rowena, who said to Cormac, "Let's just wait in the living room." Cormac shrugged. "Alright."

So they plopped down in the living room, and the three kids gathered in front of them, staring with wide eyes.

"What are you three staring at us for?" Cormac asked.

"To see if you two are dating," Harry piped up first, "Uncle Cormac, don't tell us you're not her boyfriend yet?"

"If you're not, Uncle Cormac, then you're really being a jerk," Elisa said innocently, "You've already slept with Aunt Rowena. If you don't take responsibility, that's really awful."

Hearing this, Cormac and Rowena's faces turned beet red.

"Elisa, what nonsense are you talking about?" Cormac was caught off guard. "Do you even know what it means to sleep together?"

"Isn't it just two people sleeping in the same bed?" Elisa said innocently, "That night at the hotel, you two slept together, didn't you?"

Caspian quickly covered Elisa's mouth and said, "Elisa, you can't say stuff like that so bluntly."

"What does it mean?" Elisa asked, confused, "Why can't we talk about it if they slept together?"

Both Cormac and Rowena were silent.

"Uncle Cormac, even if Elisa was wrong and you didn't sleep together, it's still pretty bad if you two are always together and not a couple," Harry said.

Now Cormac and Rowena really regretted coming over for dinner tonight; it was super awkward.

As dinner was about to start, Cormac reminded the kids, "When we eat, you three just eat quietly and don't say a word."

"Got it." Elisa pouted. "If we can't talk about such things, then I won't."

Cormac and Rowena were speechless, and throughout the meal, the family of five kept trying to matchmake them, making them blush furiously. Finally, after surviving the "torture," they wrapped up dinner. Cormac and Rowena didn't stick around a second longer and bolted out of there. Once they were out of the Knight Mansion, Cormac quickly said to Rowena, "Kids just blurt out whatever. Don't take it to heart."

"I'm not taking it to heart, but they do have a point." Rowena couldn't hold back anymore. "Cormac, what are you thinking? I've made it clear I want to get back together and be your girlfriend." Rowena had been saying this all along, but Cormac always shot her down.

Cormac sighed, "Rowena, I want you to think it through. Our last relationship caused you so much pain. I don't want you to go through that again."

"Last time, we broke up because your dad interfered. He won't now, and even if he does, I'm not the same Rowena as before. I'm not scared of anything anymore. I want to be with you, and no one can stop me," Rowena said firmly. Cormac was quiet for a moment, then Rowena said, "Forget it, I won't push you. If you don't want to answer, just take me back to the hotel."

"You're still staying at a hotel? Weren't you looking for a place?" Cormac asked.

"I haven't found a suitable one yet, so there's no other way," Rowena said with some emotion, "Staying at a hotel all the time doesn't give me a sense of belonging. Even though the security is good, living alone is still scary." Cormac hesitated for a long time, then said, "How about you stay at my place until you find a place? Aurora is away at boarding school, so it's just me. You can stay in Aurora's room." Hearing this, Rowena smiled triumphantly. She had been waiting for this.

"Alright, since you're inviting me, I'll reluctantly agree," Rowena said happily, "I'll check out of the hotel tomorrow." Cormac nodded. "Okay."

Rowena was so happy that she couldn't help but send a message to Stellan: [Stellan, I've successfully moved in.]

Seeing the message, Stellan couldn't help but be happy too. "Cormac has finally figured it out. They'll be back together soon, that's great."

After saying this, Stellan looked at Alaric and asked, "How about we have a joint wedding?"

Alaric said, "Sure, as long as you're happy."

Stellan smiled. "You're good friends with Cormac, and I'm good friends with Rowena. If we have a joint wedding, it would be so meaningful." Alaric replied, "Yes, alright, it's getting late. Let's go to bed."

"Okay, goodnight," Stellan said, kissing him on the cheek, then lay in his arms and closed her eyes.

The next day, Alaric continued to be their driver, first taking her to Nexus Innovations, then dropping off the kids. This life made Stellan feel sweet. Stellan returned to her office, and the package on her desk was particularly conspicuous. It was the package Silas had brought in yesterday before she left. She didn't remember ordering anything online recently. Seeing that it was addressed to her, she opened the package.

Seeing what was inside, Stellan couldn't help but scream in fright.
