Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 312 Those Who Achieve Great Things Must Be Ruthless

Stuart held an absolute position in the Vale Family, and Ambrose had always been afraid of him.

Bill had followed Stuart for many years, so he naturally knew Stuart's temperament best. Todd didn't inherit Stuart's clever mind, but he did inherit Stuart's ruthlessness. Ambrose, Bill, and Denny anxiously waited for Stuart at the airport, feeling a sense of unease, as they worried their deceitful actions would be uncovered.

When they saw Stuart hurriedly walking out of the VIP passage, Ambrose, Bill, and Denny's hearts all tightened, but they immediately adopted a very sorrowful demeanor. "Dad," Ambrose called out.

"Mr. Vale," Bill said.

Ambrose and Bill looked very sorrowful, their heads half-lowered. Stuart still couldn't believe that Todd was dead.

"Where's Todd? Where's my Todd?" Stuart was now like a lion who had lost his cub, filled with grief and rage, his gaze particularly terrifying.

Ambrose, Bill, and Denny didn't dare to speak. Ambrose held an urn in his hands and slowly handed it to Stuart.

Seeing the urn, Stuart was struck with astonishment, his sharp gaze like a knife directed at Ambrose, Bill, and Denny. Bill quickly explained, "We were a step too late when we arrived. A fire had started, and Todd was already lost in the flames." Lost in the flames?

Not even a complete body, and now his precious Todd was reduced to a handful of ashes?

As soon as Bill finished speaking, Stuart's anger boiled over, leading him to deliver a forceful kick that sent Bill tumbling to the floor. He cursed, "I sent you back with Todd to protect him, and this is the result of your protection?!"

"Mr. Vale, please forgive me, but Bill deserves to die!"

"Of course, you deserve to die, but why is it Todd who died and not you?" Stuart raged.

Bill dared not to utter a word. Ambrose and Denny were also too scared to speak. After all, this was at the airport, attracting everyone's attention.

Stuart's kick was really heavy, and Bill couldn't get up. It was Ambrose and Denny who helped him back to the hotel where Todd had stayed.

Once in the hotel room, Bill remained kneeling on the floor, while Ambrose and Denny stood with their heads bowed, not daring to make a sound. "How did Todd die?" Stuart sat on the sofa, his tone like that of an interrogator.

Bill, feeling intense pain in his abdomen from the kick, couldn't speak. Ambrose hurriedly replied, "It was Alaric."

"Alaric?"

"Yes." Ambrose could only mix truth with lies. "Todd had his eyes on Alaric's wife and insisted on sleeping with her. Recently, Alaric was undergoing treatment, and Todd heard that he was so unwell during the treatment that he couldn't get out of bed. So, Todd thought it was an opportunity and kidnapped Stellan because he wanted to have a good time. After the kidnapping, he was the only one in the room and wouldn't let us near.

But unexpectedly, Alaric got there later. Yet we had no idea what happened after he arrived. By the time we realized and rushed to the house, it was already on fire."

"Todd had his eyes on Alaric's wife?!"

"Yes."

"Stellan?" Stuart was certainly familiar with Stellan. "The woman you've always been obsessed with?"

"Yes."

"That woman is truly a disaster, making you all risk your lives for her. Goddamn it!"

If Stellan were here now, Stuart would make sure she died a horrible death!

"Was it you?" Stuart suddenly turned to Ambrose. His sudden question caused Ambrose's heart to tighten with fear as he locked eyes with Stuart

"Did you envy Todd, deliberately let Stellan seduce Todd, and set this up so that with Todd dead, you could become the heir?"

Ambrose hurriedly defended himself seriously, "Dad, absolutely not! As an illegitimate child, how could I dare to covet the heir's position? You keeping me in the Vale Family and giving me a place at Far East International is already a great favor. How could I have any improper thoughts?"

However, Stuart still looked completely unconvinced.

In desperation, Ambrose grabbed a fruit knife from the coffee table and said, "Every word I said is true. If you don't believe me, I can prove my innocence with my death. I can go down and see Todd right now!" With that, Ambrose stabbed himself in the chest, and blood instantly flowed out.

"Mr. Ambrose Vale!" Denny was also terrified. He hurriedly said, "Mr. Stuart Vale, please see clearly. Every word we said is true. We wouldn't dare lie. You know Mr. Todd Vale's temperament. If he wanted a woman, he had to have her, and this time it happened to be Alaric's wife.

You know what kind of person Alaric is. When he found out Stellan was kidnapped and almost raped, he must have been furious. He's a former special forces soldier. In a real fight. How could Mr. Todd Vale be his match? Alaric must have killed Mr. Todd Vale in a fit of rage and then set the fire to vent his anger.

Mr. Stuart Vale, please forgive us. It's our fault for not rescuing Mr. Todd Vale in time, but Mr. Todd Vale repeatedly instructed us not to get close. We had no choice. Mr. Stuart Vale, Mr. Ambrose Vale has always been loyal to you, to Mr. Todd Vale, and to the Vale Family. We would never do anything to harm you. Besides, Mr. Ambrose Vale and I might lie, but Bill has followed you for so many years. How could he lie to you?"

Denny was anxious and said a lot in one breath. After he finished, Bill endured the pain and said, "Yes, Mr. Stuart Vale, please forgive me. This time, it's my fault for not doing my job well. You can take my life, but we wouldn't dare lie. Every word we said is true."

Seeing this, Stuart completely broke down and started crying uncontrollably.

"My Todd, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have let you go to Arizona alone. It's my fault."

Stuart was heartbroken, and Ambrose's wound was bleeding profusely.

At this moment, Stuart couldn't see anything. He was only filled with grief over Todd's death, completely ignoring whether Ambrose might bleed to death.

"Mr. Stuart Vale, we're really not lying. If Mr. Ambrose Vale isn't taken to the hospital soon, he might really die. Mr. Stuart Vale, please have mercy!" Denny begged.

Seeing Ambrose clutching his bleeding chest and Bill unable to get up, Stuart angrily shouted, "Useless bunch, get out of my sight!"

"Thank you, Mr. Stuart Vale." Denny quickly helped Ambrose and Bill out.

Once outside, Denny hurriedly asked, "Mr. Vale, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Ambrose had done it himself, and although it was near his heart, he had avoided any vital areas. "A person who wants to achieve great things must be ruthless to themselves. I won't die." "Mr. Stuart Vale should believe us now," Bill said, enduring the pain.

Yes, Ambrose had risked his life acting. How could Stuart not believe him?

Next would be the grudge between Stuart and Alaric.
