Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 308 Todd Was Dead

Stellan couldn't tell who it was anymore. She shouted loudly at the car driving towards them, "Help! Help!" Due to the steepness of the mountain road, the car couldn't drive up and had to stop next to Alaric's car.

Seeing that it was Cormac getting out of the car, Stellan finally felt relieved. She shouted hoarsely, "Cormac, save Alaric, please save Alaric!" Cormac was taken aback when he noticed Alaric unconscious and hastily inquired, "What happened?"

"Alaric had an attack!" Stellan said.

"Did you perform first aid?" Cormac asked.

"Yes, but it didn't work," Stellan cried.

Cormac, being a doctor himself, naturally knew that in Alaric's condition, if artificial resuscitation didn't work, he had to be taken to the emergency room.

"Hurry, take him to the hospital!" Cormac carried Alaric on his back, and Stellan followed closely behind, worriedly supporting Alaric's body.

After getting Alaric into the car, Cormac drove while Stellan stayed in the back seat with the unconscious Alaric.

"Cormac, speed up! Drive faster!" It was truly a race against time, a matter of life and death.

"I know." Cormac stepped on the gas pedal, speeding like they were flying. This place was remote, and even the nearest hospital was not close, so they had to go faster, even faster! Ambrose and Denny had seen the whole scene clearly; they were hiding behind a small cabin.

"Mr. Vale, your plan succeeded. It looks like Alaric won't make it through the night."

Denny smiled smugly, but Ambrose couldn't. While his plan had indeed succeeded, he couldn't ignore witnessing how Todd had humiliated and played with Stellan. He hated Todd tothe core!

The Stellan he loved the most had just been humiliated by Todd. Todd deserved to die!

Todd was lying on the ground, groaning in pain. No one had ever dared to touch him, let alone beat him up.

Now, having been beaten so badly by Alaric, Todd couldn't bear it. With his unbroken hand trembling, Todd picked up his phone and called Bill.

"Bill, come save..."

Before Todd could finish his sentence, Ambrose took Todd's phone and hung up.

Todd looked up at Ambrose standing in front of him, his heart filled with anger. He cursed, "What are you doing, you bastard? Didn't you say Alaric was too weak to get out of bed?" Ambrose said nothing, just looking down at Todd. Seeing Ambrose's indifferent expression, Todd became even angrier and cursed, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up and take me to the hospital." In his rage, Todd moved slightly, and his whole body hurt terribly.

"Take you to the hospital?" Ambrose found the idea laughable. "Todd, what are you thinking? How could I take you to the hospital, get you treated, and then have you continue to oppress me?" Hearing this, Todd felt a sudden sense of crisis. He looked at Ambrose and asked, "Ambrose, what are you planning to do?"

Before Todd could finish his question, Ambrose stomped on his head, making him cry out in pain.

"What am I planning to do, Todd? Can't you guess by now? I've been waiting for this day for many years!" Ambrose shouted.

Hearing Ambrose's words, Todd felt nothing but fear. 'Is Ambrose planning to kill him?' he couldn't think more.

"Ambrose, I advise you not to act recklessly. If you really kill me, you won't survive either. Dad will definitely..."

Before Todd could finish, Ambrose kicked him hard in the chest. "Threatening me? You're on the brink of death and still dare to threaten me?"

Todd curled up in pain, unable to speak. Ambrose squatted down, grabbed Todd's hair, and forced him to look at him.

"Todd, do you know how much I hate you? You're just a useless fool. If it weren't for your privileged background, how could you have survived until now?"

"Ambrose." Todd could now feel Ambrose's intense killing intent. He knew that the more he threatened Ambrose, the more ruthless Ambrose would become. So Todd changed his approach. Todd started pleading, "We're brothers, after all. I was wrong. I was a bastard before. I was really wrong. Please forgive me. Just this once. I'll tell Dad, and we'll split the Vale Group equally..."

Ambrose kicked him again, and Todd screamed in pain. "I'll give up my inheritance rights, all to you, all to you."

"If you die, the inheritance rights will naturally be mine. I don't need you to give them up!" Ambrose uttered.

"Ambrose, we're brothers, Ambrose!" Then came Todd's continuous screams.

Denny couldn't help but join in, as he had long despised Todd's arrogance.

When Bill arrived, the ground was covered in blood, and Todd lay there lifeless. Not only was he dead, but his appearance was also gruesome.

"Mr. Vale!" Seeing Bill, Denny looked at Ambrose with great concern. After all, even if they combined their strength, they were no match for Bill.

"It's okay." Ambrose was particularly calm. He not only had no defensive measures but also handed the knife in his hand to Bill.

"Mr. Vale!" Denny was very worried about Ambrose's actions, while Ambrose remained unperturbed.

"Bill, as you can see, Todd is dead. I can honestly tell you that I killed him. I'm still injured, and even if I weren't, Denny and I together wouldn't be your match. The knife is in your hand, so the initiative is yours. You don't need to worry. I just hope you'll listen to a few words from me," Ambrose stated.

"What do you want to say?" Bill asked.

Ambrose replied, "Bill, you serve Stuart, you are loyal to Stuart, loyal to the entire Vale Family, not to Todd. If you truly care about the Vale Family's development, you should know that I am more suitable to be the heir than Todd. It's just that my background makes Stuart biased against me."

Ambrose continued, "Now it's your choice. You can either kill me to avenge Todd or destroy the evidence and tell Stuart that Alaric killed Todd in a fit of rage. The choice is yours, but I must add that if you choose the latter, and I become the head of the family, I will give you ten percent of the shares as a token of my gratitude. The decision is yours."
