Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 307 Alaric, Wake Up, Don't Scare Me!

Upon hearing someone kicking the door open, Todd was completely stunned. Before he could react, he was yanked up with great force and then punched in the face. The powerful blow left Todd dazed, and he fell directly to the ground.

"Galatea!" After knocking Todd down with a punch, Alaric hurried to the bedside to check on Stellan.

At this moment, Stellan's eyes were filled with tears, revealing a look of despair and fear. Her hair was disheveled, with many strands sticking to her tear-streaked face. Her top was completely torn open, and her sobs had become hoarse from the intensity of her emotions.

Seeing Stellan in this state gave Alaric a huge shock, amplifying his heartache and anger to the extreme.

"Alaric, Alaric!" Stellan felt like she was dreaming. She knew better than anyone about Alaric's condition at this moment.

Stellan had only felt despair earlier. She never expected Alaric to appear, and she couldn't understand why he was here or how he had the strength. She couldn't think of anything anymore.

Stellan was only aware that she had been rescued. With Alaric by her side, she could finally feel a true sense of tranquility.

"It's okay, don't be afraid, I'm here, I'm here." Seeing Stellan like this, Alaric's heart ached immensely. He hurriedly took off his shirt and wrapped it around Stellan's exposed skin.

Then Alaric held her, continuously kissing her face to comfort her. "Don't be afraid, it's okay."

Stellan couldn't say anything now; she just nodded desperately.

After comforting Stellan, Alaric looked at Todd, who was knocked to the ground. Alaric's eyes were filled with murderous intent, like a bloodthirsty lion.

"Bastard, how dare you touch her!" Alaric shouted.

Alaric was so angry that his eyes turned red. He kicked Todd hard again, sending him flying far away.

The first blow had already hit Todd's head hard, leaving him dazed. This time, Alaric's kick made Todd spit out a mouthful of blood, leaving him completely immobile on the ground. "Todd, I warned you before, and you dared to be so reckless. How dare you bully Galatea? Go to hell!" Alaric lifted Todd's body again, his eyes filled with terrifying anger. With a crisp sound, Todd's hand that had touched Stellan's face was forcibly broken.

If he had been a minute late, the consequences would have been dire. Seeing Stellan humiliated like this and scared to this extent, Alaric was furious.

Alaric punched Todd repeatedly. Stellan shouted, "Alaric, stop hitting him, take me away."

Stellan just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible; she didn't want to stay on that bed for another second.

"Okay." Hearing Stellan say this, Alaric kicked Todd's body aside again. Then he hurried to the bed and picked Stellan up. "Let's go, I'll take you away now."

Alaric's heart was bleeding with pain. He carried Stellan and walked out with large strides. Because the place was so remote, cars couldn't get close to the small house.

Alaric had to carry Stellan step by step. Once they left the small house, Stellan's heart was completely at ease. She knew she was completely safe, and Todd could never hurt her again.

"Alaric, how did you get here?" After escaping danger, Stellan looked at Alaric, utterly confused. "How do you have the strength? You just had a treatment injection yesterday; how could you get up today?"

Stellan, being Alaric's treating doctor, knew better than anyone the challenges he faced, particularly on the day following the treatment injection, which was often the most challenging for him to endure.

He couldn't even get out of bed, and the discomfort kept him from sleeping. On the second day, although Alaric would feel slightly better, the discomfort would only lessen. He would still be weak and definitely wouldn't have the strength to hit anyone.

However, Alaric couldn't say anything at this moment. Visible sweat were forming on his forehead, and his breathing was becoming labored.

"Did you take medicine?" Seeing Alaric like this, Stellan suddenly thought of something. "Did you take strong painkillers?"

Those strong painkillers were extremely harmful to the body, and after taking them, one should absolutely avoid intense emotional fluctuations and strenuous activities.

"No," Alaric spoke. Without the strong will of worry to support him, his body began to weaken, and even his speech became feeble. His dazed eyes stared at the car not far ahead, and he continued, "I'll take you home." Seeing Alaric like this, Stellan understood everything. The fear in her heart surged up, even stronger than the fear she felt earlier. "Alaric, put me down! Put me down now!"

Alaric's body was already in a treatment phase, and after such strain, the consequences would be catastrophic.

Whether it was the lingering effects of the anesthetic or the fear causing her body to weaken, Stellan couldn't move from Alaric's arms.

Seeing Alaric's worsening condition, Stellan called out to him worriedly, "Alaric!" Alaric really had no strength left. He tried to hold Stellan, but he couldn't. Alaric's vision went black, and his hands loosened, causing Stellan to fall. Alaric then collapsed to his knees, feeling a tightness in his chest and struggling to breathe.

"Alaric, Alaric, what's wrong?" Stellan, disregarding herself, hurriedly crawled over to Alaric. Seeing him like this, she was terrified to tears.

First, it was the drug-induced physical damage; then the intense emotional fluctuations causing his body functions to go haywire. Finally these led to a relapse.

Seeing Alaric collapse unconscious, Stellan immediately initiated emergency first aid procedures. The first time she saw Alaric have an attack in the hotel, she had also performed emergency first aid, which had worked well; after reviving him, Alaric had quickly returned to normal. But this time it wasn't working. Alaric wouldn't wake up no matter what.

"Alaric, wake up, don't scare me!" Seeing her first aid efforts fail, Stellan felt a panic and fear that made her feel like she couldn't breathe. She kept calling Alaric, but there was no response.

With manual resuscitation not working, the only option was to get him to a hospital immediately. Stellan attempted to lift Alaric, but the lingering effects of the anesthetic had made her weak, rendering her unable to lift him no matter how hard she tried.

"Help, help!" Stellan felt utterly desperate. She screamed at the top of her lungs, finally seeing two headlights in the distance as a car sped towards them.

Were they here to save her, or were they Todd's people?
