Mommy,We Got a Husband -
Chapter 290 Caspian, Are You a Sore Loser?
'Dinner together?' Cormac hesitated momentarily but eventually agreed, "Sure."
The last time Aurora saw Caspian, Harry, and Elisa on TV, she really liked the three of them. Now that they were meeting in person, the four kids should get along well. "Alright, it's settled then. I'll pick the place and text you the details. You can drive Aurora over," Alaric said.
"Okay," Cormac replied.
Knowing they were having dinner with Cormac and Aurora tonight, Caspian, Harry, and Elisa were especially excited.
"Awesome! We get to meet Aurora. I heard she's a top student," Elisa said admiringly.
"Yeah, I heard she's the top of her year, a real genius," Harry added.
"When you meet Aurora, be polite; don't be noisy, and definitely don't say anything inappropriate," Caspian instructed.
Harry could only roll his eyes. He didn't like how Caspian, who was born just a few minutes earlier, always acted like the older brother.
"We don't need you to teach us about manners. Mind your own business," Harry couldn't help but retort.
Recognizing Caspian and Harry were on the brink of an argument, Stellan immediately warned, "Stop it. No one is allowed to argue, or you'll lose the privilege of going to dinner."
Hearing this, Harry immediately covered his mouth, afraid he might say something. Elisa quickly covered Caspian's mouth too, ensuring he wouldn't speak either.
And so, the world became quiet.
"It's great to sit down and have dinner with Cormac again, but it's a bit of a pity," Stellan said, thinking of Rowena. "You see, your relationship with Cormac has been better, and I hit it off with Rowena. We could definitely become best friends. If Cormac and Rowena got back together, the four of us could go out to eat. Wouldn't that be wonderful?"
"That's a nice thought, but reality is often harsh," Alaric said. "Not every couple in love ends up together."
"True." Stellan sighed regretfully. "Oh well, let's just go with the flow."
This time, Alaric chose a restaurant with a variety of dishes. The last time he visited Cormac, Cormac bought meat for Aurora, saying it was her favorite.
Aware of Aurora's humble background and the hardships she had endured, Alaric he wanted to cater to her tastes.
When Aurora saw Alaric and Stellan, she was a bit shy and hid behind Cormac. Seeing this, Stellan warmly greeted her, "Hello, Aurora. I'm Stellan Storm."
"Hello, Aurora," Alaric said with a smile. "I'm Alaric Knight. We met last time."
"Uncle Alaric, Sister Aurora."
Harry gleefully said, "My dad is 'Uncle,' and my mom is 'sister,' just like we call Dad 'Dad' and Mom 'Mom.' Dad, you better take care of yourself. In a few years, people might think you're out with your daughter."
Hearing this, Stellan couldn't help but laugh. Meanwhile, Meanwhile, Alaric shot Harry a stern glare in response.. Caspian was right; Harry's mouth could easily make him friendless!
"I saw you three on TV. You're so cute, even cuter in person!" Aurora said, unable to hide her fondness for Caspian, Harry, and Elisa.
"Hello, Aurora," Caspian, Harry, and Elisa greeted politely.
"Aurora, I heard you're a top student. That's amazing! Can you help me with my homework in the future?" Elisa asked, looking at Aurora with admiration.
"I'm not really a top student, just more hardworking than others. You guys are so smart at such a young age; you'll be the real top students when you grow up."
After saying this, Aurora looked at Caspian and Harry and asked, "You two look so alike. Who's the older one and who's the younger one?"
Seeing Aurora couldn't tell, Harry quickly said, "Aurora, guess. Who do you think is the older one and who is the younger one?"
Harry eagerly hoped Aurora would say he was the older one and Caspian the younger.
Caspian stood there with a confident, aloof expression.
Aurora carefully observed them for a while, then pointed at Caspian and then at Harry, saying, "You should be the older one, and you should be the younger one."
"Great eye, Aurora," Caspian said happily when she guessed correctly. "I am indeed the older one."
Harry was unhappy. They looked exactly the same; why did Aurora think he was the younger one?
"Aurora, how did you figure it out? Was it just a guess?" Harry asked, feeling frustrated.
"Not entirely a guess," Aurora said seriously. "At our school, there are also twins. I noticed that in most cases, the younger siblings are a bit taller than the older ones."
Hearing this, Harry was overjoyed, even more than if she had said he was the older one. He immediately grabbed Aurora's hand and said excitedly, "Aurora, great observation! You have sharp eyes!" Harry was happy, but Caspian felt defeated.
"I'm shorter than him?" Caspian asked Aurora, staring straight at her. "You said I'm shorter than him!"
Noticing the change in Caspian's expression, Aurora became aware that she had unintentionally said something inappropriate or hurtful. She quickly explained, "Not by much, just a little bit. Really, just a tiny bit. People wouldn't notice unless they looked closely."
Caspian felt this was the biggest blow he had ever received. He looked at Harry coldly and asked, "Harry, are you wearing height-boosting shoes?"
"Caspian, are you a sore loser? You're the one wearing height-boosting shoes," Harry said, standing on tiptoe to be taller than Caspian. He patted Caspian's shoulder and comforted him, "Height is a hard fact. Don't be sad; being sad won't help."
With that, Harry walked into the private room first, feeling smug. He muttered to himself, "I've suddenly taken a liking to being the younger one."
At this moment, Caspian's expression turned stern, looking deeply hurt. Seeing this, Aurora looked up at Cormac with a guilty expression and asked, "Did I say something wrong?"
