Mommy,We Got a Husband -
Chapter 250 Was that the Rowena
Ambrose couldn't help but feel smug. "Todd's just a fool. He only relies on his background; he can't manage a company." Denny nodded. "You're right, Mr. Vale."
"I'd love for him to come to Arizona. Without Stuart, he's much easier to handle."
"Yeah, Todd being away from Stuart would be a great opportunity," Denny agreed.
Ambrose grinned. "I can't miss this chance. Denny, get someone to gather more info from headquarters. I need accurate news." "Got it."
Alaric and Stellan flew back to Arizona by noon. After grabbing a bite, Alaric dropped Stellan off at Reassuring Clinic.
"Don't overwork yourself. I'll pick you up in the afternoon," Alaric reminded.
"You, too. I'm mainly focused on drug research now, so it's not too tiring. You have a lot on your plate; take care of yourself," Stellan advised.
"Don't worry," Alaric said, giving her a kiss.
With the entertainment center nearing completion, Alaric was swamped. Once finished, it would be the largest in the country, drawing a lot of media attention.
Even though it hadn't opened yet, some design details had leaked, sparking widespread interest. Everyone was eager to check it out once it opened.
"Mr. Knight, here are the promotional materials and the opening day schedule for the entertainment center, ready for your review."
Alaric skimmed through the documents. "Not bad."
"Mr. Knight, even though our entertainment center is already popular, the operations department suggests hiring some famous stars as promotional ambassadors to boost its reputation." "Sure, let them handle it."
"Okay, I'll inform them."
"Alright," Alaric said, getting back to work.
The entertainment center project was famous both domestically and internationally. The media predicted it would become a new landmark in Arizona.
For such a big project, hiring a few stars for promotion was a good idea.
In the following days, Alaric was busy every day, and Stellan often saw him exhausted.
This time, Stellan gave him a massage. Alaric lay on the bed while Stellan worked on his shoulders.
"I told you not to overwork yourself, but you still take on so much," Stellan scolded.
"I can't help it. The entertainment center is about to open, and there's a lot to do," Alaric said.
Stellan retorted, "Even though this project has been going on for a long time, I haven't visited it once. Today, I saw some photos online, and it looks amazing." Stellan was really impressed by the photos. "The facilities look fantastic. Once it officially opens, the kids will be thrilled."
Alaric smiled. "Before the official opening, I'll take you guys for a tour. There are many parks and fun activities inside."
"Sure, that sounds great," Stellan said excitedly. "Not just the kids, I'm quite excited too."
Seeing her like this, Alaric smiled warmly. "Since you like it so much, I'll let you have fun before the opening."
"Really?"
"Of course, sweetheart. It's the least I can do."
Stellan teased, "Alaric, you're getting more and more charming."
Alaric laughed, "Only for you. I wouldn't bother with anyone else."
Stellan couldn't help but laugh. The moment was perfect, and she leaned over to kiss Alaric. Just as their lips were about to meet, the door burst open, and Elisa ran in. "Daddy, Mommy, Caspian and Harry are fighting again. You need to..."
Elisa stopped mid-sentence, seeing the awkward scene. She quickly said, "I didn't see anything!"
She hurriedly closed the door, leaving Alaric and Stellan extremely embarrassed.
A few seconds later, Elisa opened the door again, covering her eyes. "Daddy, Mommy, can you lock the door next time you want to kiss?"
"Didn't you know to knock before entering?" Alaric asked.
Elisa replied, "I forgot it this time, but you should lock the door to prevent me from seeing such scenes. It's better for everyone."
Alaric and Stellan were left speechless. Elisa kindly locked the door for them and walked away.
"I forgot the kids were still at home," Alaric said.
"Next time, we really need to be careful. They are too smart."
Alaric said proudly, "Yes, they've inherited our high IQ. Really impressive."
He tried to kiss her again, but Stellan pushed him away. "Being interrupted, I'm not in the mood anymore."
Alaric sighed, "But it's not my fault. You can't punish me for that."
Stellan shrugged. "Don't you know? A child's mistake reflects a father's failure to educate them properly. So, it's your fault." "Alright, I accept that."
Just as Alaric finished speaking, his phone rang. It was Silas. Seeing that, Stellan couldn't help but feel annoyed. "Reporting work so late?" she asked.
"The entertainment center is about to open. Can't help it. Forgive me," Alaric said as he answered the call.
"Mr. Knight, regarding hiring stars as promotional ambassadors, the operations department decides it's best to hire one male and one female. I've sent the preliminary candidates to your email. Please make the final decision." "Got it."
After hanging up, Alaric told Stellan about it while opening his email. "You get to decide which two stars we hire."
Stellan hesitated, "But I don't watch many shows, so I don't know many stars. I can't help you."
Alaric said, "It doesn't matter if you don't know them. Just pick the ones you like at first glance."
"Are you sure?"
"The operations department has already screened them thoroughly. Any choice would be reasonable. It's up to you," Alaric said. "Alright then."
Alaric sat with Stellan, looking through the list of stars. Suddenly, they saw a name.
Rowena!
