Mommy,We Got a Husband -
Chapter 246 You Are So Obedient
"Being alone in a hotel, just the two of us, it's hard not to get excited," Alaric said, hamming it up.
"Alaric, when did you get so gross?" Stellan teased, seeing through his act.
Alaric laughed and then got serious. "Honestly, it's hard to resist my charming wife."
"Even grosser!"
Alaric felt a mix of amusement and frustration, frowning as Stellan leaned in and kissed him.
"Gross, but I like it," Stellan said, wrapping her arms around his neck, her gaze seductive.
In a strange hotel, even though it wasn't a vacation, it was just the two of them.
That night, the hotel room felt like a getaway. Under the moonlight, their emotions intertwined, and they were deeply in love.
It was a relaxing night for Alaric and Stellan. Away from Arizona, they forgot about work and felt at ease.
They fell asleep in each other's arms and had a great night's sleep.
The next morning, Stellan squinted at the bright sunlight. Before she could fully open her eyes, a series of gentle kisses landed on her lips. A good morning kiss?
She closed her eyes again, enjoying the kiss, and then opened them to see Alaric.
"Awake? Sleep well?" Alaric asked.
"Very well. I even had a beautiful dream."
"What kind of dream?" Alaric asked, curious. "What do you consider beautiful?"
Actually, Stellan had this dream many times. About her wearing a wedding dress and marrying Alaric.
"Wearing a wedding dress and being a bride," Stellan said honestly.
"That is a beautiful dream," Alaric nodded and then got serious. "Galatea, I've been thinking. We're already married, and our three kids are grown. So we should have a wedding. What kind of wedding do you want?" Stellan shook her head. "We're so busy now. Let's wait until your entertainment center opens smoothly."
"The entertainment center will open next month."
"Then let's talk about it next month," Stellan said. "Even though I don't get on well with with Mrs. Knight, she's still your mother. We should ask for her opinion first." "Alright, I'll take time to ask her."
"Okay," Stellan nodded. "I really want to wear a wedding dress for you, but we're already legally married. The wedding can wait, I'm not in a hurry."
"Alright," Alaric said, giving her a light kiss. "I promise, I'll give you an unforgettable wedding."
"I believe you," Stellan said, smiling excitedly.
With her hands still around his neck, Alaric lifted her up.
"Get up, eat, and let's get to work," he said.
Stellan felt dazed and didn't want to move. She stretched her hands out to him, and Alaric shook his head with a helpless yet loving smile.
He helped Stellan get dressed, from her underwear to her outerwear.
"Mr. Knight, you're so obedient," Stellan teased as he combed her hair.
"Thanks, my dear. I'll always be so obedient."
Stellan laughed. "It's rare to see you joke. You used to be so serious, scaring everyone."
"Thanks to your wonderful influence, I've lightened up," Alaric joked.
Stellan laughed heartily, finding Alaric much more adorable now.
Seeing her so happy, Alaric couldn't help but smile too.
After breakfast at the hotel, they left. In the car, Alaric said, "Derek is now a sales manager at a foreign trade company. He's on duty this week."
Sales manager? Stellan was genuinely happy for him.
The car stopped in front of a large building. Alaric and Stellan got out, and she looked up at the impressive structure.
"He's in room 1405 on the 14th floor. I've already checked. Only the duty staff are in the office on weekends. You can go straight to his office," Alaric said. "Okay."
Alaric had done all the research beforehand.
Stellan looked at him. "Alaric, I'll go up. You wait for me downstairs."
Since she came to ask some questions, having Alaric with her might put pressure on Derek. It was better for Stellan to handle it herself. Alaric encouraged her. "Go ahead. I hope you get good news." "Okay," Stellan nodded, then turned and walked in.
Outside room 1405, Stellan hesitated before knocking. She felt nervous and took a moment to gather her thoughts before finally deciding to knock.
Derek had been Brennan's assistant for five years. During that time, Stellan had been studying abroad and seldom saw Derek.
Now, seven years had passed. Honestly, she had almost forgotten what Derek looked like, and Derek probably wouldn't recognize her either. "Hello, Mr. Ronald, I am..." Stellan began her speech, but Derek, who was reading some documents, interrupted her.
"Our company is closed today. Come back on Monday for businesses."
Feeling awkward and nervous, Stellan directly addressed him, "Derek."
Hearing his name, Derek was startled. He quickly looked up, first with confusion, then disbelief, and finally astonishment. "Ms. Storm!"
Derek used to address Stellan like that.
"Derek, you have a good memory. Glad you still remember me," Stellan said.
Derek hurriedly stood up and walked over to Stellan, still in disbelief.
"Ms. Storm, what brings you here? Did you come specifically to me?"
"Yes. To be honest, I wanted to ask you about some things. It took me a long time to find you. I'm sorry for the sudden visit." To ask about some things?
If she came specifically to him, it could only be about the Storm family back then. What else could it be?
Thinking of this, Derek cautiously closed the door and locked it.
