Mommy,We Got a Husband -
Chapter 222 He Has Nothing Left
Elisa's scream jolted Harry awake.
"Elisa, can't you see I'm sleeping? Quit making all that noise!" Harry snapped.
"What's wrong, Elisa?" Caspian rushed in, hearing the commotion.
Elisa was in shock. How could there be a Harry in front of her and another on the bed?
Was she hallucinating? Was she sick?
Terrified, Elisa started crying uncontrollably.
This was too much. What kind of illness made her see two Harrys?
Harry was now fully awake. "Elisa, you're so annoying. I just wanted a nap."
"Elisa's scared, and instead of comforting her, you're scolding her. What kind of brother are you?" Caspian retorted.
"Indulging her won't help, don't you get it?" Harry shot back.
Elisa cried even louder. "The two Harrys, I imagined, are even arguing. This is so scary!"
Hearing Elisa's cries, Alaric and Galatea rushed over. Alaric picked her up, worried. "What's wrong, Elisa? Why are you crying?" Elisa sobbed, "Daddy, I'm sick."
"What happened? Are you feeling unwell? Where does it hurt?"
Elisa said, "Everything feels fine, but my mind is messed up. I saw two Harrys, and they were arguing. Am I sleepwalking or delusional?"
Alaric and Galatea couldn't help but laugh. They had forgotten to tell Elisa.
Alaric explained, "You're not delusional, and you're not hallucinating. There are indeed two people in front of you, but they're not both Harry. One is Caspian, and the other is Harry. They are both your brothers. You have two brothers." Elisa was stunned for a moment, then cried even harder. Alaric was very worried and quickly asked, "What's wrong now, Elisa?"
"Not only are there two Harrys, but Daddy is also starting to talk crazy."
Harry said, "Daddy, Elisa wasn't smart. I suggest you take a day to explain it to her, and then give her a year to think about it and accept it. I really need to catch up on my sleep. I'm exhausted."
With that, Harry crawled back under the covers. Caspian agreed with Harry.
"Daddy, you take your time explaining to Elisa. I'll go make breakfast," Caspian said and returned to the kitchen.
Then, Alaric and Galatea began explaining the situation to Elisa together. It was indeed quite difficult.
"I'm really a little princess?" Elisa didn't hear anything else; she only heard that she was Alaric's biological daughter. "I'm a little princess in a wealthy family?" "Yes," Alaric said with a gentle smile.
"Does that mean I can inherit your fortune?" Elisa's eyes sparkled.
"Of course, it's all yours."
Elisa shouted, "Oh my God, this is so wonderful. I'm finally rich!"
Alaric and Galatea were quite helpless about this. Elisa's mind was entirely focused on money.
"And besides Harry, I also have a Caspian as my brother?"
"Yes."
Caspian spoiled Elisa just as much as Alaric did.
By this time, Harry was already awake, and Caspian had finished making breakfast. Elisa looked at the two of them; they really did look exactly alike. "How do I tell the two identical brothers apart?" Elisa wondered, resting her chin on her hand. Then, she suddenly had an idea. "I got it!"
She dashed into the study, grabbed a pen, and came back. She wrote a number one on Caspian's forehead and a number two on Harry's.
Elisa laughed, "Now I know which one is Caspian and which one is Harry!"
"Elisa, can you not drag us into your stupidity? Why do I have to have a number two on my forehead?" Harry snapped.
"You're right; marking just one is enough," Elisa said.
"Good, now wipe mine off," Harry demanded.
But instead of wiping off the number two on Harry's forehead, Elisa wiped off the number one on Caspian's.
Harry fumed, "Elisa, can you explain why, if only one person is marked, it has to be me?"
"Because it suits you better. Writing on Caspian's forehead would ruin his image," Elisa said seriously. "Elisa!"
"Elisa is our sister. How can you be so mean to her?" Caspian interjected, displeased.
Elisa smiled. "You should learn from Caspian. Both of you are brothers, but why aren't you as nice as him?"
Harry was exasperated. "Daddy, please take me back to the Knight family," he pleaded with Alaric. "I think I can still tolerate that bad grandma. Take me away."
Alaric just smiled. At that moment, his phone rang. It was Silas calling.
"You guys eat first. I need to take this call," Alaric said, leaving the dining table with his phone.
On the other end of the line, Silas spoke in a guilty tone. "Hello, Mr. Knight. I made a mistake earlier. When I went to the Nash group, Mr. Nash saw me. He asked me to tell you that you don't need to interfere with the Nash family's affairs anymore. As for the Nash family's debts, he said he would pay them off even if he had to sell his organs. He won't use a penny of yours. He was very adamant. I'm sorry, Mr. Knight. This was my fault."
"I understand," Alaric said. He had anticipated this.
Regarding the Nash family's debts, he knew as much as Cormac did. Trying to help secretly was simply impossible.
After finishing the call, Alaric let out a long sigh. Things had gotten to this point; he and Cormac probably couldn't go back to the way they were.
No matter what, in his heart, Cormac was his only friend.
Cormac had paid off all the fines and debts the Nash family owed. Unlike Stellan back then, he wasn't heavily in debt; he just had nothing left.
Cormac truly had nothing left. His house, car, and hospital were all mortgaged. He had also emptied his savings.
Overnight, he went from being wealthy to having nothing. After dealing with the debts, he took one last look at the Nash group and then turned and walked away.
After stepping outside, Cormac looked up at the sun. Suddenly, he didn't know where to go. He had no home and no money.
Where could he go?
At that moment, a car stopped in front of Cormac. The window rolled down, and the person in the back seat was Ambrose.
