Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 220 Caspian And I Don't Need to Pretend Anymore

Marigold barely got a word out before Cormac hung up, leaving her fuming.

"Bankrupt and still a jerk," she muttered, tossing her phone aside.

Cormac took a deep, sorrowful breath. In just a few days, he had truly seen people's true colors.

When he was on top, friends flocked to him, always finding reasons to be close. Now that the Nash family was in ruins, everyone avoided him like the plague.

The Knight family and the Nash family had been tight for years, and Marigold had watched him grow up. So what?

She was scared to be associated with the Knight family. That was so cruel.

The noise from Cormac's call had already woken Harry. He stretched, rubbed his eyes, and slowly opened them.

"Cormac, why are you up so early?" Harry checked the time; it was just past five.

Cormac said firmly, "I let you crash here last night, but now you need to call your dad to come get you."

With that, Cormac strode out of the bedroom. Harry hurriedly followed, asking, "Cormac, where are you going?"

Cormac snapped, "None of your business. Caspian, I've already told you someone's coming to take the house soon. If you don't leave and get caught up in it, that's on you!" He quickened his pace. Harry couldn't keep up and just watched as he left the villa.

"Cormac," Harry called out, his voice breaking. He knew Cormac couldn't hear him anymore.

Harry was really upset. He really liked Cormac. Did Cormac fight with Alaric? Why was he acting like this?

Harry had no choice but to call Alaric. Even though it was early, Alaric and Galatea were already awake.

Galatea had been so excited last night that she barely slept, checking the time over and over, anxious for dawn.

"Up so early?" Alaric looked at the time and then at Galatea, who was already sitting up.

Galatea said impatiently, "I can't sleep at all, Alaric. Hurry up and take me to Cormac's to get Caspian back. It's already daylight; if we drive over, they'll be awake." Alaric looked at her. "You want to see Caspian?"

Galatea nodded. "Of course, I want to see my son. I came back to find him."

Alaric said, "Let me ask you again. You want to see Caspian, not Harry, right?"

Galatea snapped, "Alaric, are you nuts? I can see Harry anytime. But I want to see Caspian now!"

She felt Alaric was doing it on purpose. He was so annoying, teasing her like this!

"Alright, wait here. I'll bring Caspian to you."

Before Galatea could say anything, Alaric had already left the bedroom. She was stunned. Was Alaric going to get Caspian himself?

Why couldn't Alaric take her along?

Alaric wanted to let Caspian sleep in, but Galatea was too impatient. He had to go to the room and wake Caspian up.

After hearing Alaric's words, Caspian was wide awake but also worried.

"Dad, if I tell Mom the truth, will she be mad at me?" Caspian asked, nervous about how Galatea would react to the deception.

Alaric reassured him, "She won't be. If she knows you've been by her side all along, she'll be overjoyed."

He patted Caspian's shoulder encouragingly. "You need to face this yourself and explain everything to your mom. She won't blame you or Harry." "Okay," Caspian nodded, trying to muster some courage.

When Alaric brought Caspian to Galatea, she was livid.

"Alaric, are you messing with me? I asked you to bring Caspian from Cormac's, and you bring me Harry?" she fumed.

Alaric just looked at Caspian. Caspian stepped forward and said, "Mom, I'm sorry. I lied to you before. I'm not Harry; I'm Caspian."

Galatea was about to explode. "Harry, is this prank with your dad fun? Alaric, take me to Cormac's to get Caspian now."

Alaric emphasized, "He really is Caspian, the real deal."

Galatea was stunned. Alaric didn't seem to be joking. She looked at Caspian again.

Caspian looked like he had done something wrong. Usually, when Harry did something wrong, he would have all sorts of excuses to calm her down. He wouldn't just stand there silently waiting for her to scold him. So, this was real?

"Are you Caspian?" Galatea was dumbfounded. Even though they were triplets, did Harry and Caspian look that much alike?

Caspian nodded. "I really am Caspian."

Just as Galatea was about to ask more, Alaric's phone rang. It was Harry calling.

Alaric instructed, "Caspian, explain everything to your mom. I'm going to get Harry now."

"Okay, Dad," Caspian said.

Alaric grabbed his car keys and left, giving Caspian and Galatea some space to talk.

Harry calling so early and asking him to come over made Alaric feel uneasy.

If even Harry couldn't persuade Cormac, then he really had no solution.

When Alaric arrived at Cormac's villa, he saw Harry standing alone at the door. He quickly parked the car and got out. "Harry, why are you alone?" Alaric asked.

Harry said in frustration, "Cormac left a long time ago, and he seemed really upset."

Harry asked, "Dad, did you fight with Cormac?"

If it were just a simple fight, that would be easy.

Alaric sighed, "No, Cormac is going through a tough time. Don't blame him."

"I'm not blaming him. I know he's upset, and I'm sorry I couldn't make him feel better," Harry said, feeling guilty.

"Harry, you've done great. Let's go home first," Alaric said, lifting Harry into the car.

After driving for a while, Harry realized they weren't heading toward the Knight mansion.

"Dad, where are we going?"

"To see your mom, Caspian, and Elisa," Alaric replied.

Harry was shocked. "So, the secret's out? Caspian and I don't have to pretend anymore?"
