Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 219 Don't Worry, I Won't Drag You Down.

Galatea was fuming. Alaric had known about this for ages; he should've sorted it out. Now, her relationship with Marigold was beyond repair.

"I didn't know at first," Alaric explained. "I found out during the second treatment. My mom wronged you from the start. I get that. Don't worry, I won't let her push you around." Her relationship with Marigold was in shambles; they were practically enemies now.

"What about the DNA test?" Galatea asked urgently.

"Griffon messed with the results," Alaric said, still angry. "That's why we lost so many years. But hey, fate brought us back together."

Galatea was stunned. Griffon had tampered with the DNA test?

"Did your mom know?"

"Not for long."

"She knew before she came to me, right?"

"Yeah."

It all clicked. No wonder Marigold wanted to take Harry and Elisa and urged her to leave Arizona. She wanted Galatea away from Alaric.

Marigold really didn't like her. She went to great lengths to separate them.

Alaric added, "I should've told you sooner, but I swear, I won't let my mom bully you. If she can't accept you, then fine. We won't live with her or see her." Was it that simple? Could Marigold ignore Alaric, Harry, Caspian, and Elisa?

"So Caspian is the son I've been looking for?" Galatea asked.

Alaric smiled. "You just realized? Caspian is our eldest son."

"Where is he now?" Galatea was desperate. She had come back to find Caspian, and he had been right under her nose.

Where was Caspian now?

Alaric almost laughed. Caspian was right beside Galatea. The son she had been searching for had already returned to her. It must be fate.

"Take me to see him right now!" Galatea couldn't wait any longer. She felt so guilty toward Caspian.

"It's late," Alaric advised. "Let's sleep first. When you wake up, I promise you'll see him first thing." "But..."

"Don't worry. I'm here, and Caspian is here. He won't run away," Alaric said with a happy smile. "Just like it was meant to be that you're my wife. Even though we didn't know and were separated for years, you were always meant to be my wife." Galatea found it incredible that her legal husband and the Alaric she fell in love with seven years later were the same person.

It was unbelievable!

"You've suffered all these years, especially during childbirth six years ago. It was a life-and-death situation. It was Griffon's fault and my mom's fault."

Alaric didn't dare recall those events. After surviving that ordeal, Galatea must have developed a strong aversion to childbirth.

Galatea couldn't speak anymore. She wanted to cry.

Alaric took her hand and gently comforted her, "We have three smart and adorable kids. I feel very fulfilled."

Tears streamed down Galatea's face. She had never hoped to find the children's biological father and give them a complete family.

"Alright, don't cry," Alaric quickly wiped her tears. "Our family is reunited. We should be happy. Let's go to sleep. When you wake up, you'll see Caspian."

"Okay." Galatea still couldn't say anything, but she nodded obediently.

Alaric carried Galatea to bed. Once there, she was too excited to sleep. She kept looking at him and asked, "What does Caspian look like? Does he look like Harry? Do you have a photo? Let me see it first."

"Sleep first," Alaric said.

"Just let me see. I haven't even met him. I don't know what my son looks like yet."

"Tomorrow, when you see him, you'll understand."

"But I can't wait."

"Even if you can't wait, you must."

"So, Caspian is with Cormac now? Shall we go together to pick him up tomorrow?"

"No need."

"Why not? We need to bring him back so I can see him."

"I said there's no need."

"But..."

"Go to sleep!"

Galatea couldn't argue with Alaric; he was being so uncooperative, and it really infuriated her!

Alaric held Galatea in his arms. She tried to sleep, but she was too excited.

Meanwhile, Harry, disguised as Caspian, had already fallen asleep on the couch without a blanket, so he had to sleep in his clothes.

It was late at night. Cormac came out of the bedroom and saw Harry sleeping on the couch covered with a white cloth. He couldn't bear it.

He gently picked up Harry and carried him to the bedroom, where he laid him on the bed and covered him with a blanket.

Afterward, Cormac walked to the floor-to-ceiling window in the bedroom. It was his last night here; how could he possibly sleep?

Similarly, someone else couldn't sleep tonight, and that was Marigold. She knew that Alaric had taken Harry from Tranquil Valley mansion and would soon bring Galatea and the three children to see her. "Mrs. Knight, it's only five in the morning. Why are you up so early?" Joe asked.

Marigold said angrily, "Alaric is about to bring Stellan and the three children here. How can I sleep? Stellan must know everything. She must have spoken ill of me to Alaric, and he's coming to take it out on me. She hasn't even married into the family yet, but she's already trying to suppress me. No way!"

Joe added, "Mr. Alaric Knight will definitely bring her, but not today. He took Caspian Knight to Mr. Nash's place and didn't go to see Stellan."

Marigold was furious. "What did you say? Alaric took Caspian to Cormac's place. This is outrageous! Everyone knows how unfortunate the Nash family is, and he actually took Caspian there. What kind of father is Alaric!"

Marigold immediately called Cormac, surprising him.

"Hello, Mrs. Knight." Cormac wasn't keen on answering, but Marigold was an elder, after all.

Marigold said, "Cormac, I've heard about what's happening with your family. I feel so sorry. How are you doing now?"

"I'm fine."

"If you need any help, just ask. I've watched you grow up since you were a child. How can I not help you in times of need?" "Thank you, Mrs. Knight. I don't need any help." Cormac was surprised and touched.

"Okay. If you do need anything, feel free to ask. Is our Caspian with you?"

"Yes."

Marigold continued, "Cormac, you know how busy Alaric is with work. The entertainment city project is about to be completed, and he has so much to do. If you really need help, come to me. And Caspian's got a broken bone. I've repeatedly told him not to run around. Now Alaric has sent him to you again, this..."

Cormac was touched initially, but when he heard Marigold's words, he realized everything. This was truly the vicissitudes of life.

"I got it, Mrs. Knight. Don't worry, the Nash family's affairs won't affect the Knight family," Cormac said and hung up the phone.
