Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 124 Don't Worry; I Won't Let her Bully you

If Ambrose was furious seeing them intimate before, watching them kissing infuriated him even more. "Crash!"

He smashed a tall glass with his bare hands, the shards mixed with his blood falling to the ground.

Were they actually kissing so boldly in broad daylight?

Galatea had been forcibly kissed by Alaric many times before, but this one was different. The previous ones were forceful, but he was especially gentle this time.

It wasn't a punishment nor domination, but only a gentle kiss which intoxicated them. It was tender; faintly passionate like water. Despite feeling like burning flames, it was also refreshing ice. From the contrast between cold and hot, it transformed into ultimate enjoyment; a sweetness that surged from a kiss exchanged between lovers.

For her, it had been a while since she experienced this kind of physical reaction, a sweet sensation...

They kissed for quite some time before Alaric released her, looking at her with visibly blushed cheeks. "Do you like this feeling?"

After hearing this, her already-flushed face felt scorching hot, as if she had a high fever.

Afraid of getting exposed, she quickly pushed him away. She turned around and scolded, "You jerk, always making these sudden attacks and taking advantage of me!" Alaric only smiled smugly.

She continued, "After we finish eating, hurry back to the hospital."

He remained silent, carefully surveying her shop once more. "This clinic, whether it be its location or spatial arrangements, is quite good. Dr. Galatea has great taste." "Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Alaric."

"However, Everpeace Street is full of jerks. I hope nobody causes trouble for you."

"Nobody is." Despite having experienced it before, nothing happened later on. Alaric was unhealthy now, so Galatea could only lie.

He replied, "That's good. Oh, and one more; my mom is back."

Mrs. Marigold was back? That person whom everyone was especially afraid of?

"Oh, so... are you going to take me to meet her?" After all, she was now his fiancée, and meeting Mrs. Marigold was inevitable. "No rush. Wait until I completely convince her."

Convince her? Of what?

"My mom is stubborn, feudal, superstitious, dominant, and self-centered. She's especially difficult to get along with."

Hearing this, Galatea laughed and said, "Who else talks about their mother like you?"

"It's the truth, but don't worry; I won't let her bully you."

Galatea was stunned. As the saying goes, mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law were natural enemies, and when conflicts in the relationship escalate, it depended on the man's attitude. So, if that day ever came, would Alaric stand by her side? Wait a moment- what was she daydreaming about? Their relationship was still fake, wasn't it?

"If we really meet someday, she is the elder, so I naturally respect her. Why would she bully such a polite woman like me?"

"That's right," Alaric nodded.

"Alright, I'll take you back to the hospital. You came out before finishing your IV drip; how brazen," Galatea complained as she gently helped him up from the sofa.

"It's not that serious. I can walk by myself."

"You just survived a near-death experience and still haven't fully recovered. Why are you showing off here?" she helped him into the passenger seat. Remembering that he drove here earlier, she was even angrier.

"I told you it's not suitable for you to drive with a condition that can relapse at any time. It's fine when you feel good, but running out of the hospital and driving by yourself? Don't you have any sense of safety? Do you know how despicable your behavior is...?"

She kept nagging in anger, and Alaric just listened. He seemed to enjoy this.

He told her the hospital's name, and Galatea brought him to his ward.

She helped him lie down on the bed and covered him with the blanket. Checking the IV drip he was receiving, she treated the area where he was bleeding before finding another vein to insert the needle.

"I'll take good care of myself. You can go home," Alaric said. He decided to hire some bodyguards to protect her. If Mrs. Marigold went to find her, he'd be the first to know.

"I'm also busy with the clinic's renovations, so I don't have any big work either," she said. "After that car accident last time, you took care of me at the hospital. This time, consider this my repayment."

"I can't believe Dr. Galatea is so dedicated." Alaric quipped.

"I have more conscience than you think," Galatea replied.

Upon hearing this, he laughed again.

"You should get some sleep. I'll watch over you."

"I'm not sleepy." his eyes were fixed on hers; it felt like such a long time had passed since he had seen her.

"Galatea."

"Yeah?"

"I won't ask about your past anymore; I just want to know one thing." he softly asked. "Is Ambrose Harry and Elisa's father? Of course, you have the right to refuse to answer this question." "No," Galatea answered confidently. "I never had sexual intercourse with him."

Alaric was surprised. If she hadn't slept with her ex-boyfriend, how could she be so casual about having children with other men? Perhaps that was her true pain, the past she didn't want to talk about. "Thank you for answering." he was satisfied with this response.

"What else do you want to know?" she had mentally prepared herself. She'd tell him everything about the past if he wanted to.

"I only needed to know that. After all, I've said before the past is gone. There's no need to bring it up again."

"Okay," Galatea responded blankly.

"Are you interested in my past?" he asked.

She already knew about his past, but if Alaric wanted to talk about it, she'd listen. Perhaps there were things she still didn't know.

"You can tell me. I'm listening." Galatea replied lightly, sitting down beside his bed and preparing to listen.
