Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 119 How Did Galatea Cure Your Illness?

Harry found it unbelievable, "A picture of your grandma in my mom's bag? Are you sure you didn't make a mistake? How could she have a picture of your grandma?"

"How could I not recognize my grandmother? It seemed like Mommy was looking for her in a hurry, but she didn't tell me why when I asked. Anyway, my grandmother is particularly strong-willed and often unreasonable. Before figuring out what Mommy wanted with her, I didn't dare give her any clues in fear she'd be disadvantaged once they met." Caspian replied seriously.

Harry believed what Caspian said, but he was confused. Why would his mommy be looking for Caspian's grandmother everywhere? Did they know each other or have some grudge?

"Could they be enemies?" Harry speculated, "Like that kind of story on TV, where they silently endure for years and only get revenge when the time comes?"

"I'm afraid of that too," Caspian admitted. "I'm worried there might be some resentment between them. If that's the case, there's no way my grandmother would let Daddy marry Mommy. That also means I won't be able to become Mommy's son!"

"Does your daddy really listen to your grandmother?" Harry questioned. "If she doesn't allow it, would he not marry my mommy?"

Caspian emphasized, "Now isn't the time to discuss obedience. We need to figure out the relationship between your mommy and my grandmother quickly. Besides, my daddy isn't like that!"

Harry replied, "Well, let me think of something. You should do that as well. Since you're with Mommy right now, try getting some information from her."

"I know," Caspian responded, "I haven't seen Daddy in a while, and I had a bad dream about him yesterday. I'm worried."

It could be a telepathic bond between father and son, as his dad was currently in the hospital.

To be honest, it was strange. Perhaps it was because they had spent some time together recently, but when Alaric was unhealthy, Harry was genuinely worried.

That night, his dad almost died and was urgently rushed to the hospital. Harry was so scared that he cried, something he hadn't done in his entire memory.

He was also worried that if he told Caspian, the latter would definitely be concerned. Thus, he had to lie.

"Your dad's doing well. He's working on a big entertainment city project. A few days ago, his business partner even took me out for dinner," Harry said. "Really? That's good to hear." Caspian said.

"Don't worry. The most important thing now is to find out the relationship between my mommy and your grandmother, and then..."

Just as he was saying this, he heard Mrs. Marigold sternly scolding someone downstairs. The penetrating sound was exceptionally strong, and he could clearly hear it from the second floor. "Alright, that's enough. I have to go." he hung up and quickly ran out of the study.

In the living room, Mrs. Marigold was enraged while the servants cowered in fear with their heads hung low.

Harry didn't know what was happening, but he saw Caspian's grandmother anger and worry. She called Cormac.

"Cormac, be honest. Did Alaric have another episode?" she had returned by surprise, and Alaric had told everyone that he was on a business trip. That was including the staff at the company, and he didn't even coordinate with the villa's servants.

One of the staff accidentally came clean when Mrs. Marigold asked them, which left her concerned when she found out Alaric relapsed and was hospitalized. She wanted to call him, but she knew he wouldn't be honest, so she called Cormac. Cormac answered the phone and felt a whirlwind of emotions inside.

He had just arranged all of Alaric's flights, thinking it could go by unnoticed. However, it turned out he couldn't even hide it.

"Mrs. Marigold, please don't worry. Alaric did have an episode, but he's okay now and will be discharged tomorrow." he had no choice but to tell the truth.

"How can I not worry? Which hospital is Alaric in? Tell me!" Cormac had to tell her the address. After hanging up, Mrs. Marigold rushed out in a panic.

Harry couldn't understand it at this point. He thought this old lady was like a ruthless and ferocious predator who despised everyone.

However, wasn't she particularly concerned about her son? But then, why did she dislike Caspian?

There must be a reason behind all this!

After the call, Cormac had to let Alaric know, but the latter didn't pick up even after a while.

"This brat can't stay put even in the hospital. Where did he go? Why isn't he answering the phone?" Alaric had just finished the discharge procedures and left. Since it was an early discharge, there were some issues with the paperwork, and his health hadn't completely recovered yet. He was afraid Mrs. Marigold would notice, so he had to cooperate with the doctor and get his prescription quickly.

After settling everything and returning to the hospital room, he saw Cormac's missed call. He was about to call him back when Mrs. Marigold hurriedly rushed in.

"Mom?" When he saw her rushing in, he was crestfallen. In the end, he couldn't hide it from her.

"You little brat, how could you not tell me you were hospitalized?" Mrs. Marigold saw him like this and felt especially distressed. "I've only been away for a short time, so how did you lose so much weight? And why do you look so haggard?" He replied indifferently, "It's not that bad. Getting sick and being hospitalized is a common thing; nothing to fuss over."

"Is this just a normal hospitalization? I've already talked to the doctor. They said your heart stopped this time, and they managed to save you from the brink of death. What if something had happened to you..." Mrs. Marigold trailed off. Alaric was also angry. The doctors were so dramatic!

"I know my own body, and it's not that serious." he quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, what did you gain from your trip abroad? Did you bring gifts for Caspian? He said he missed his grandma a few days ago."

In truth, he never missed Mrs. Marigold. Moreover, she was infuriated with him when she returned.

"Don't try to change the subject. I'm talking about your health right now!" she carefully examined Alaric, feeling more and more upset. "Just thinking about how you narrowly escaped death this time, Mom is really scared. You really scared me."

Alaric also apologized, "I'm sorry for making you worry, Mom."

"What about Galatea?" Mrs. Marigold suddenly asked with anger.

"Why are you suddenly asking about her?" he retorted.

"Didn't you say she's from Country M's Medical Research Institute and that she's the only one who can cure your illness? So, is this how her treatment's going? Didn't she almost kill you?" she asked angrily.
