Innocent Little Runt -
Chapter 18
Christopher’s POV
She’s back. I never expected to see her again. Her or her pet rogue.
She used to be my best friend, but that was when we were really young. I’ve known her since she was born. She was so small and tiny that I was afraid to go near her. Then her mom let me hold her and I felt like I should always be there for her.
Everyone always thought that we would end up as mates but that obviously never happened. That was all I actually ever looked forward to when the rogues attacked. When I turned thirteen, I realized that she wasn’t my mate. Those with Alpha b***d can find their mate at the age of thirteen.
With Celeste I felt no greater attraction. I felt no sparks. And Celeste- she felt nothing but brotherly love for me. That was when I started to bully her. Of course one of the times that I physically hurt her and that damned rogue attacks me.
Just about every time after that, that damned rogue would appear to protect her. And of course, that one time when she couldn’t call for his help, and he still managed to get to her. After that he had stopped my group of friends and I and beat us all to a pulp. I hated how a single rogue managed to hurt me- a werewolf who was born with Alpha b***d.
When Celeste went through her first heat I couldn’t help myself. despite her and I not being mates, I still had feelings for her. She had smelt so delectable that it was hard to stop my thoughts from trailing to certain places. Goddess only knows how angry Lesa would be if she knew the thoughts I used to have about her brother’s mate.
But now I was different. I was happy with Lesa. We are married now, something every wolf with Alpha, Beta, or Third in Command b***d does. It’s just a tradition in honor of the first moon goddess who fell in love with a human. She stepped down from her position as moon goddess, the position going to her sister immediately. The original moon goddess got married to the human and their children were the first of the werewolves. At least that’s how the story goes.
And Lesa wants children. I want children. Two boys and one or two girls. Lesa wants two children. One boy and one girl. I think I can get her to compromise at three. Then again, will she want children with me if she figures out that I used to a***e Celeste? Will she even want me if she figures that out?
Damn that girl and her pathetic rogue.
I storm out of my house, slamming the door on the way out. I’m surprised that it didn’t break off of its hinges. I need to talk to that damned runt.

I walk towards the pack house my wolf telling me to stop. He didn’t want to get in trouble with Alpha Xavier. I, however, didn’t care. I just needed that damn rogue to keep her mouth shut.
I stormed upstairs to where the Alpha and Luna’s room is, ignoring the strange look I was getting from pack members. I paid attention to the smell. Xavier’s was weaker than when he is actually around. He must be talking to the other Alpha who is visiting. Celeste’s scent, however, is very strong. She was in the room.
I shoved open the door and heard a small squeal come from Celeste. She was on the bed, a dark blanket pulled up her chin. Her eyes were wide with fear and I could see her physically shaking.
“W-what d-do you w-want?” Her voice was quiet and shaky.
“I need to talk to you.” If it was possible her eyes widened even more.
“P-please, just go away.”
“No. We have to discuss something.” Tears gathered at the corner of her eyes as she looked everywhere. She was looking for a way out.
“W-what? I’ll call for Xavier.” She looked proud for a moment before I growled. She went back to shaking in fear.
“You will not tell anyone what I used to be like, or else I will tell Xavier about your little boyfriend.”
“It wasn’t like that with him!”
“It doesn’t matter. I will tell Xavier about how much you two love each other and he will get angry at you. Do you want him angry at you?” She shook her head and a sob escaped her lips. Tears started to fall down her face as she tried to shrink back.
“And if any of this- any of it at all, even this conversation, gets to Lesa I won’t hesitate to give you a reminder of our old relationship.”
She shook her head and mumbled in a small, quivering her voice, “You wouldn’t dare. Xavier will protect me just like Lycer used to. And I don’t think that he will keep you alive if you touch me.” I chuckled and she shook in fear again. She truly was pathetic, even after all of these years.
“Xavier wouldn’t hurt me. I’m his sister’s mate. She wouldn’t want me hurt, therefore Xavier won’t hurt me.” She tightly shut her eyes as tears started to run down her face at a faster pace.
“Please just stop. Leave me alone. Please Christopher. We used to be friends. Why do you have to be this way?”
“Because you’re not my mate!” Another sob broke out of her lips.
“You have a mate!”
“And that is why you can not tell her anything. You can’t tell anyone anything! I won’t hesitate to tell your mate about your little boyfriend. Don’t you dare doubt me, you pathetic runt!”
“It’s too late.” I growled at her words. What the hell did she mean? “Xavier knows everything. About how you used to beat me. About Lycer. About everything.” In a blind rage from her words I stomped forward and slapped her. A loud slapping sound went throughout the room and then Celeste fell to the floor. I went around to the other side of the bed where she was curled in a ball, clutching her cheek. I was about to kick her when a growl went throughout the room.
I turned to find a very angry Alpha. His eyes were black, his shoulders stiff, and his fists clenched.
“I wouldn’t dare touch her again if I were you!”
