Innocent Little Runt -
Chapter 19
Xavier’s POV
My wolf was howling for me to go and check on Celeste. We have barely been apart since we met and my wolf wanted it to stay that way. I also knew that I had to check on the borders. A few rogues were wondering around outside of the border the past two days and they have been going under my warriors radar. How they are doing it is my question because I have known these warriors either all of my life or all of their lives so they wouldn’t betray me. Damn these rogues.
Alpha, one of the pack members voice went through my head. Christopher stormed upstairs looking really angry.
When did this happen? I growl. I promised Celeste that I wouldn’t let him near her and I that is one promise I don’t want to break.
A few minutes ago Alpha. I didn’t think anything of it but then I heard the Luna crying. I’m sorry I didn’t alert you sooner Alpha.
It’s fine. I will be there soon. With that I took off running back to the pack house where my little mate could be in trouble.
What if he hurts her? I would have broken my promise. She would have been hurt. I can’t let him hurt her. I thought as I rushed back to the pack house.
My wolf also listed off the things he would do to Christopher if he hurt her. Most of them involved drowning him in wolf’s bane and cutting off his family jewels. I actually considered most of them.
When I got back to the pack house everyone was looking upstairs hopelessly. No one but me would be able to calm her so I knew it was useless to even attempt to help her from their points of views. I looked at two of the men who I knew were doing really well in training and motioned for them to follow me.
By the time I had gotten upstairs I heard a loud slap and Celeste’s pained scream. I rushed to the room and saw Christopher walking over to one side of the bed. I stepped in as I felt my fist tighten, trying to stop myself from shifting.
He lifted his foot and I growled. He stopped and looked over to me, eye wide with fear. Good, he should be scared.
“I wouldn’t dare touch her again if I were you!”
“Al-Alpha Xavier, you should let me explain.”
“Explain what? How you just hit my mate and you were about to kick her? I don’t think that calls for an explanation!” He started to stutter, trying to give the best explanation possible. How dare this bastard hurt Celeste and says he has a good reason. He disgusts me. I don’t want a person like him anywhere near my sister. “You two,” I say to the men behind me. “Take him to the cellars. Lock him up and don’t give him any food or water. We can decide what to do with him tomorrow.”
The two men drag Christopher away while he tries to struggle out of their grasps. After they leave I run to the other side of the bed to find Celeste curled into a ball, clutching her cheek as tears streamed down her face.
“Celeste, baby. It’s okay.” I crouched down and pulled her into my arms. She clutched my shirt which was starting to get soaked with her tears. “I’ve got you now little one. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there to protect you. This is my fault. I should have been here.”
“Please- stop. It’s not your fault Xavier. Please don’t blame yourself; it will only make me feel worse.” I tightened my grip on her and she gasped a bit.
“What’s wrong little one?” I looked down at her to see her clutching her cheek. I pulled her hand back to see her cheek was swollen and already starting to bruise. By tomorrow it will be black and blue. By tomorrow Christopher will be hoping that he is dead for what he has done to Celeste.
I lean down and gently press my lips on her cheek. At first she flinched in pain, and my wolf whined, but then she sighed in relief. She calmed in my arms as I stood up and laid down on the bed. I grabbed the remote to the television that was in the room and turned it on. I turned on a random movie and put one of my hands in Celeste’s hair. She laid her cheek that was uninjured on my chest, her hand on the other side of my chest, and she curled her legs right next to mine. It was a really comfortable position that I felt we could get used to.
We lay like that for hours, staying in a calming silence. When food was brought into us the boy who brought it gasped at the sight of the bruise on Celeste’s face.
She’s fine, I mind linked him. At least she will be.

I walked down to the cellar to where I was told Christopher was put. He was put all the way in the back where it smells like mold. This was where Josh had tortured that rogue. This was where Christopher will be tortured.
Lesa was alerted about what had happened and it wasn’t pretty when she did. I was told that she tore her house apart in anger. I wish this never happened to her. She has never done anything wrong so she doesn’t deserve it. She still told us not to kill him. She wanted to talk to him before any final decision was made. Luckily she said we could t*****e him all we wanted. Sadly though, by the time that she mind linked that to me she sounded as if she had already broken.
I walked over to where Christopher was. His feet were chained to the floor and his hands to the wall. I walked where he was and unchained him, his feet first and then his hands. He fell to the ground and woke up, groaning in pain. He was already weak from not eating overnight, this morning, and being chained to a wall all night long.
I grabbed four buckets that were full of wolves bane. I picked up one of his feet and dumped it in one of the buckets and did the same to his other one as he screamed in agony. I grabbed his left wrist and dumped it in the third bucket. His screams became loud and b***d curling. Then I took the hand that he hit Celeste with and slowly cracked each of his knuckles.
“Please!” He screamed. “Please stop!” I looked at him and shook my head, punching him in the jaw.
“You should have stopped when you first hurt Celeste.”
