Hearing that, Liam was stunned and asked subconsciously, "Are all your conversations this intimate? Do you joke about even this kind of stuff?"

"No." Maria shook her head. "It's just that he had figured out the relationship between us last night, and he even gave us his blessings. Perhaps that's how he often jokes around as well, and we are just like brothers, so he didn't hold back when we talk."

Liam was silent for a while without saying anything.

The car drove onto the bustling road.

Maria looked at him again and whispered, "You are still angry, aren't you?"

"No." he shook his head.

Maria wasn't convinced. However, from what he said, it seemed like he didn't care too much. Was she overthinking it?

"What he said kind of makes sense," Liam suddenly said. "You were really getting too much of it lately."

Maria was taken aback.

Was that the same Liam she knew?

Even so, wasn't it because of him who was requesting for it? He pestered her every day. As soon as they see each other, he would want to have sex. Naturally, she was a little drained.

Liam glanced at her and saw that she looked dejected. He raised his eyebrows again and said, "The next time he asks you, you can tell him directly that you really were really having too much of it." "Ah?" Maria let out a frightened scream. Her reaction was a little over the top.

Liam chuckled and said, "Is that not the case?"

"I have insomnia," she responded quickly, "I couldn't sleep last night because of it."

"Oh, why did you have insomnia?" He teased with a smile and gave an answer himself, "Did you miss me too much? Is that why you couldn't sleep?"

He was joking around, but every word he said was electrifying her soul.

She didn't know how to respond. She only felt her heart pounding like a drum, and she just looked at him, dumbfounded.

It seemed that Liam had changed a little, and there was a faint smile on his face.

Maria figured he probably wasn't angry, but she was still worried about it. She asked again despondently, "Are you angry? Is that why you're being unusually sarcastic with me?"

That time, Liam didn't deny it. He admitted frankly, "I was initially a little angry, but seeing that you realized what you did wrong the moment you got in the car, I'm not angry anymore." Maria froze for a second. Her lips twitched, and she confessed in embarrassment, "To be honest, I didn't realize how terrible my actions were. Leah was the one who reprimanded me." Liam had already guessed it, but he didn't expect her to admit it so honestly. He turned his head to look at Maria again.

He said, "Although it was a little stupid, you were honest, so I forgive you."

Maria's eyes widened, staring at him with the dark circles beneath her eyes.

Liam really wanted to turn around and bring her home so that she could rest.

However, when he thought about how it was the first time her classmate was visiting, he held back his thoughts.

"When Leah reminded me about the way I acted, I was terrified. I thought you were angry with me, but I didn't expect you to be this kind." She perked up happily with a smile on her face. "I'm relieved now." Liam smiled, and remained silent.

"I promise," Maria said hastily. "I will pay attention to my words and behavior in the future."

"I'm not so petty," he finally responded. "However, you' re my girlfriend, and I could be somehow possessive. There's no doubt about that."

Maria blushed. "I got it, I understand that."

This girl was really cute.

Looking at the state she was in, he mused that she probably wouldn't have thought to eat unless he said that he wanted to it. So, Liam said promptly, "I'm hungry, let's eat something first, shall we?" "Ah? Okay." She nodded slowly. She hurriedly turned back to take the food container and opened it, and found a variety of fluffy little pancakes and small snacks.

"Do you want some pancakes?" she asked.

"Sure."

Maria found that there was a pair of disposable gloves in the lunch box and put them on. It would be more hygienic that way, and she wouldn't have to wash her hands.

She pinched off a little bit of a small pancake and handed it to Liam. "Just open your mouth, I'll feed you."

"Mm." Liam looked ahead, paying attention to the road. Maria brought the pancake to his mouth.

The pancake was very soft, and in one bite he wrapped his lips around her finger as well.

Maria was shocked. Although she was wearing a pair of gloves, she could still feel the flaring sensation of his lips. Recalling that he had kissed her before and had been teased by Leah for having plump lips, Maria couldn't help blushing.

She withdrew her hand, took one slice, and stuffed it into her mouth.

"It's delicious," Liam said, "Your mother is very considerate for preparing us some food. I didn't even think of buying breakfast for you."

"It's nothing," Maria quickly said, "You must think I've eaten breakfast, but I just couldn't sleep. It's all because of my insomnia. I fell asleep only at dawn and woke up late."

"Was it because you missed me too much that you couldn't sleep?" He suddenly asked again.

Maria immediately turned to look out the window and said in a hushed tone, "Yeah, I couldn't sleep because I missed you."

Liam tilted his head to look at her and noticed she was completely blushing.

She seemed to have sensed something, and she turned around and looked at him with her face hot and blushing. She pretended to be calm and continued feeding him the pancakes.

It was a sweet trip. They looked at each other from time to time, and ate the delicious breakfast together. Maria was smiling the entire time.

She realized there was a difference between the Liam she thought she knew and the Liam she was currently facing. However, the version of Liam she saw then felt like his genuine self. Not to mention, he was way more big-hearted than she'd imagined.

Either way, they were enjoying the time they spent together more and more, and it made Maria really happy.

In another car.

Ernest was driving.

Adrian was sitting in the passenger seat, and Leah was sitting in the back. She was preparing to eat the food in the lunch box.

"This lunch box is so delicate," Leah exclaimed before even opening it. "It looks good on the outside, the food inside must be of great quality too!"

The two boys in the front smiled at the same time.

Adrian looked back at her and said, "This container really is beautiful. Is it from Maria's house?"

"It is," Leah nodded.

Then, she opened the lunch box and let out a surprised squeal, "Wow, what an exquisite breakfast! It looks beautiful. The Lowe family's breakfast is simply amazing. Pancakes, fries, pastries, fruit, vegetables, wow, it's truly impressive."

Ernest looked at her from the rearview mirror and smiled. "If you'd had it at her house, I reckon it'd be even more grand and delightful."

"That would be such a hassle for them." Leah sighed loudly. "I'm not that thick-skinned. By the way, do you guys want some?"

"It looks really good, but I ate quite a bit just now." Adrian looked back and was very surprised. "Leah, aren't you full yet? How could you still eat after having so much for breakfast just now?" Hearing that, Leah chuckled. "I'm hungry."

"Ernest, would you like to have some?"

"Thank you, but I'm not hungry." Ernest shook his head.

That time, he had learned his lesson from earlier and didn't say anything else. He was afraid he would end up saying something wrong, so it was better to stay silent.

"If the both of you aren't going to eat, don't blame me for finishing everything on my own," Leah said.

"I think I have no room left for food." Adrian shook his head.

"Then I'll eat them myself. It is so well thought of, it even came with gloves." Leah put on the gloves and began eating one of each assortment. She ate delectably, and wolfed down many things at once. The two of them in front were floored and Adrian was shocked. "Leah, where did all the food you ate earlier go to? How could you stomach so much food right now?"

"I have big appetite," Leah said disapprovingly. "Those were just appetizers, and I need to get more nutrients now."

"But, isn't that too much?" Adrian was taken aback. "You have to be the girl who eats the most out of all girls that I know."

"Really?" Leah shrugged. "That's such an honor."

"However, how do you eat so much without gaining any weight?" Adrian asked in confusion again.

"Everyone's appetite is different. I am a designer. I need a lot of energy and burn a lot of calories every day, you know? Only when I eat well, can I ensure that my brain is running at its full capacity. If I don't eat my brain will start running out of oxygen, and I'll feel dizzy and uncomfortable."

"Oh, really?" Adrian smiled. "So that's how it is."

Ernest thought of Leah's words to himself earlier and quickly said to Adrian, "Perhaps Leah really uses up too much energy. This kind of mental work is not something everyone can do, so she needs more nutrition."

"It seems like I ate more during the college entrance examination as well." Adrian nodded to express his agreement. "However, Leah, have you always been eating like this?"

"No." Leah shook her head. "Every time I start a new book, I eat more."

"Are you writing a book?"

"Mm." Leah continued to eat, disregarding whatever they said. The both of them thought that she had a big appetite, and she didn't have a problem with it. In any case, it was a fact. She had to admit that she was a glutton who could feast anytime.

When they arrived at their first destination, Ernest came to fully understand just how much the glutton could eat.
