True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1430
Seeing that it was Janice, Gary frowned and said in a serious tone, "Celeste, you sure have foresight. You knew someone would call us." Celeste, who was originally worn out, immediately sat up in a struggle when she heard this. "Who is it?"
"Janice." Gary shook his phone and said, "The woman called me seven times."
Seeing him frown, Celeste didn't do anything. He didn't know Janice's feelings for him. If she said it, he would only take it as a joke.
Celeste didn't want to continue to be a bother as she had learned her lesson.
She didn't show anything and just said, "Is it another emergency?"
At this time, the phone lit up again.
Gary answered it. "Janice, why are you calling me?"
"I don't have any money. Can you lend me some?" Janice chuckled and said, "I came out and wanted to eat something, but I don't have any money."
"Janice Simpson, I don't owe you anything." Gary said in a serious tone, "You don't have money, and I don't either."
"Oh, c'mon, I really have no choice." Janice tried to butter him up. "Come and send me some money."
"Send it to you? Now?" He sneered, "Looks like you really think highly of yourself. If you don't have money, you can contact the consulate and notify your family to come and pick you up." "You really won't save me?" Janice said, still trying to butter him up.
"Janice, I'm well aware of the amount of money in the card I lent you." Gary said seriously, "Do you think I'm stupid?"
Janice was stunned; before she could speak, Gary continued.
"I'm only willing to overlook this because of Lowell. He's my biological uncle. If you like him, just tell him. If you don't, then f*ck off. Don't always come to me." Right after that, he hung up.
Celeste had been listening to the call the entire time. Seeing Gary's infuriation, she only shrugged. His hostility was flabbergasting.
After he hung up, Gary made a call to Lowell.
During this time, he looked at Celeste.
Celeste also looked at him, and her eyes were full of smiles. This time, he really had a firm attitude.
It was necessary to be resolute when rejecting a girl.
It would at least make him look very reliable.
"Wait for me. Let me give Lowell a call." Gary's gaze became profound the moment he saw Celeste. The temperature in him couldn't help but rise either. Celeste nodded.
The call was connected.
Gary immediately turned to the phone and said, "Lowell, let me ask you a question."
"Go ahead." Lowell's tone was warm as always. "No need to beat around the bush."
"Do you like Janice or not?" Gary got straight to the point. He only wanted to know Lowell's attitude. If he didn't like her, then he didn't have to be too polite anymore. "Why are you asking this?" Lowell asked in surprise.
Gary frowned and said in an even more dissatisfied tone, "Because your woman is killing me. She keeps harassing me. Even when I'm with my girlfriend, she has to be the third wheel. She's annoying the hell out of me." "Uh, your girlfriend?" Lowell smiled. "Is she
Celeste?" "Of course." Gary knew Lowell might have some concerns and was unwilling to confess. But he also made his stance clear. "If you like Janice, then deal with her yourself. If you don't, make things clear with her; don't drag me into this. Got it?"
"Her heart is not with me," Lowell said with a trace of bitterness in his tone.
"Who then, if it's not you?" Gary asked, "There are things even you can't handle?"
"Gary, I'll take care of Janice." Lowell's tone became much more serious. "Since your relationship with Celeste has gone public, you don't have to worry about Janice anymore."
"You've finally said something right." Gary said, "I'm officially informing you, if something happens again, look for someone else. I don't have time to deal with her." "Okay." Lowell agreed without hesitation.
Gary hung up the phone and walked over to Celeste. He sat down, looked at her, and asked, "Satisfied?"
Celeste nodded. "Very."
"Alright, let's ignore these people. Every minute is worth its weight in gold." He put on an evil grin.
Celeste sighed and leaned into his embrace, muttering, "I'm exhausted. I just want to sleep."
Gary smiled, soul-stirring. Celeste's heart pounded involuntarily.
After a night of intimacy, Celeste slept until she woke up naturally the next day. When she was awake, Gary was in the bathroom; he seemed to be taking a shower. Celeste got up and looked at her phone. Janice had actually called her.
She had made three calls the night before. Judging from the time, it was after Gary had returned her calls.
Celeste really thought the way Janice acted was disgusting; she ignored the three phone calls.
After putting the phone to charge, she went back to the bed, lying with her eyes closed to rest.
Moments later, Gary came out. He felt much more refreshed after a shower. Seeing Celeste had awoken, he immediately said, "Did I wake you up? Do you want to sleep a little longer?" She shook her head and climbed up. "I'm wide awake. I'm gonna take a shower. I don't want to sleep anymore."
Soon after she was done, the two of them headed out for breakfast.
As they passed by the first floor, they saw Janice still sitting on the couch in the lobby, looking as if she was waiting for someone.
Seeing here there, Celeste was also speechless.
As soon as they arrived at the lobby, Janice ran to them and greeted them from a distance, "Hey, good morning."
Gary frowned. "It's not that good of a morning seeing you."
Celeste did not speak.
Janice looked at Celeste with a smile. "Miss Celeste, I called you last night. You didn't pick up."
Celeste also smiled. With a calm face, she said, "I'm sorry, I didn't have time to look at my phone last night."
"It's okay." Janice smiled as if she didn't care.
Gary raised his eyebrows and said unhappily, "Do you have no shame? What exactly are you trying to do?"
"I'm here to borrow money." Janice spread her hands. "You weren't willing to lend me some, so I could only ask Celeste. Who would've thought she didn't answer my calls."
Hearing that, Gary glanced at her coldly. "The money I lend you is enough." "I spent it all." She said, "I really spent all the money inside."
At this time, Celeste took out her phone and said to Janice, "Miss Simpson, why don't I help you contact the consulate and see if they can help you contact your family and solve your problem." She was already close to making the call when she was speaking.
Janice's expression changed, and she immediately said, "There's no need for that. I don't need your help anymore. Someone has already helped me."
Just as the call was trying to get through, Celeste hung up. She then glanced at Janice and said to Gary, "In that case, let's go?"
Gary nodded and left the hotel with her.
After getting in the car, Celeste lowered her eyes and looked at her hand. She was still feeling very depressed.
"What would you like to eat?" Gary asked.
"I want to go home," Celeste mumbled.
"You don't want to stay here anymore?" Gary took a glance at her and understood. "Alright, let's go somewhere else."
"Let's check out and leave after breakfast," Celeste said.
"Okay, whatever you say." With the lack of objection, a smile instantly appeared on Celeste's face.
When they came back, Janice was still there.
Celeste glanced at the sofa in the lobby. Janice was still sitting there, alone, looking very lonely.
Gary glanced at her and frowned.
Celeste didn't understand why Janice had such strong willpower to sit there for so long.
She glanced at Gary and said, "Do you want to ask her about her situation?"
Gary raised his eyebrows and looked at Celeste. "What for? Don't tell me you're worried about her."
"It's a little strange to see her like this." She said, "Did she really run out of money?"
"Leave her be," Gary said solemnly. "If she's lacking in money, there are many ways for her to get it."
Celeste paused for a moment, and her eyes began to sparkle. Finally, she nodded.
Gary looked at her and ruffled the top of her head. He smiled and said, "You obviously don't like her, yet you still care about her."
"It's a catch-22." She admitted honestly. "I don't like her, but I can't bear to see her like this." "Silly girl." Gary said dotingly, "Let's go." They didn't go up to Janice; instead went upstairs to get their luggage and got ready to check out.
Seeing that, Janice's shoulders slumped, very depressed.
