True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1370
Maria and Ernest talked for a long time on the rooftop. They finally got rid of their grudges, looking more like actual cousins by the time they were done.
"Let's go back and rest," Maria looked at her watch, "It's getting late."
"Let's go," Ernest nodded, "I still have some things to do."
"Then let's go down."
The two of them went downstairs together.
Ernest returned to his room on the third floor.
When Maria went downstairs and passed by Celeste's room, she seemed to have heard something. She was stunned and stood at the door. Suddenly, Celeste's faint voice came from inside, sounding as soft as a kitten's purr.
That very moment, Maria was rooted in place. Then, her face turned beet-red.
She quickly returned to her room and closed the door. Her heart was beating wildly.
It was really incredible.
Gary was acting so unscrupulously inside Celeste's room
She shook her head and laughed before she calmed down. She locked her door, went to take a shower and changed into some fresh clothes. Then, she opened her laptop and began to surf the Internet. Naturally, she was browsing all the news about Liam.
In the blink of an eye, several hours passed.
The more she looked at it, the more shocked she felt. Liam was really in a tight spot.
Soon, it was two in the morning.
Maria was thirsty, so she got up and went downstairs to get some water.
She walked past Celeste's room and heard faint sounds coming from inside. She was so scared that she tiptoed and dared not make any sound. When she went downstairs and was about to fetch some water, she was suddenly startled by a tall figure.
"Ah!"
"It's me," Ernest clarified.
"You scared me," Maria patted her chest in relief. She didn't expect that Ernest would also come down for some water.
He looked tall and lean in his pajamas, looking quite handsome and well-groomed. His facial features looked even sharper under the dim illumination of the lights.
However, there seemed to be a hint of melancholy and loneliness in his eyes.
Maria was stunned and realized something. She looked upstairs and wondered if Ernest had heard the voices coming from Celeste's room.
If he heard it, he would probably feel even more downcast.
After all, Celeste was the girl he used to like. If he heard her being intimate with Gary, he would definitely feel even more uncomfortable. When she was in a trance, she heard Ernest say to her softly, "Drink."
Maria immediately came back to her senses and saw that Ernest had poured her a glass of water.
She walked over, picked it up and downed it.
"Thank you," She said.
Ernest smiled and glanced at Maria.
At a distance, Maria found that Ernest had bloodshot eyes. It was obvious that he hadn't been sleeping.
She was startled and couldn't help but ask, "Haven't you slept?"
"I was reading," Ernest explained, "You didn't sleep either, did you?"
"I was browsing the news," Maria also smiled, tacitly admitting the fact that she wasn't asleep yet. She was also frank and told Ernest, "News about Liam." The corners of Ernest's lips curled up.
Maria sighed, "Now his status is dropping as his fans are reducing. It's difficult for him. It's even difficult for me to read news about him."
"You feel sorry for him?" Ernest raised his eyebrows and poured half a glass of water for himself.
"Yes. You're right," Maria did not hide anything from him. After their chat on the rooftop, they seemed to have become good friends.
This was very strange.
"Do you have any plans?" asked Ernest.
"Yes," Maria said, "I'm going home for a bit."
Ernest grinned, "I figured as much."
"You knew that I would want to go back?"
"Throughout the long vacation, you've stayed here without going anywhere. It's impossible for you to stay here all the time. Furthermore, Liam has already returned. It's possible for you to meet him if you return," Ernest had already expected this.
Maria laughed and said with a sigh, "Ernest, since you've guessed that I'm going back, then why don't you come back with me?"
"Do you need my help?"
"Yes," Maria admitted.
After a short pause, Ernest chuckled, "Okay, I'll go back with you."
Maria raised her glass of water to him and toasted, "Here's to you, Ernest."
Ernest also raised his glass for a toast. The two clinked their glasses and smiled. After drinking, they went upstairs.
As they approached the stairs on the second floor, they heard some voices.
Maria was stunned, but she pretended that she couldn't hear anything. She said to Ernest, "Good night."
"Go to bed early and don't stay up so late," Ernest said in a faint voice.
After saying goodnight to each other, he hurried upstairs.
Maria looked at Ernest as he went upstairs. She secretly sighed as she watched him taking large strides, as though in a hurry to escape. She wondered what she would do if she heard Liam with another girl. Could she be that strong? Could she act as if she hadn't heard anything as she quietly walked past the door?
Perhaps, that might not be the case.
Therefore, when she looked at Ernest, she really felt sorry for him.
Meanwhile, inside the room.
When Celeste was doing it with Gary, she suddenly heard voices outside. She immediately came back to her senses and grabbed Gary's arm, muttering nervously, "Gary, there's people outside. I can hear Maria's voice."
Gary paused for a moment as he was unsatisfied with Celeste's nervousness. His black eyes gleamed as he continued. Instead of moving slower, he went full throttle, catching Celeste off guard.
If she didn't try her best to hold back her voice, she would've moaned loudly.
"Vo-you're doing it on purpose," Celeste glared at him.
She did not know that her cheeks were reddened by the heat. She looked fragile, which aroused Gary's desire even more.
"Yes, I did it on purpose," He was so mean. His voice was low, and there was a faint smile in his eyes.
Celeste was embarrassed. She had no idea how to face them anymore.
However, Gary didn't listen to her and continued ravaging her.
It was a given that they would not be quiet whenever they were together.
They were young and full of vigor. That was probably the best explanation for this.
The next day, Celeste woke up in Gary's arms. She was tired, but she still woke up early.
The moment she opened her eyes, all she could see was Gary's sturdy chest. In an instant, everything from last night flashed through her mind.
She couldn't help blushing again.
After calming down a little, she opened her eyes to look at him.
The young man in front of her was asleep. The sharp demeanor he would do when he was awake was no longer seen. Now, he looked more like the epitome of peace.
Celeste took a breath and quietly got up. Then, she went to the bathroom to wash up.
However, just as she was about to close the door, the glass door behind her was opened.
Celeste was startled when she saw Gary walking
in.
"Wh-why are you here?"
"Let's take a bath together."
Gary was really shameless. He walked in so casually without a care about her reaction. He just showed up in front of Celeste without reservation, making her nervous to even glance at him. "You can take a bath first," Celeste was not as bold as to bathe with him.
As she spoke, she was about to walk out.
However, before she could walk out, Gary grabbed her and dragged her into the bathroom.
Swoosh!
Soon, warm water filled the tub and the room grew foggy from the heat and mist. It was much warmer and cozier now.
"Gary Smith!" Celeste shrieked in fear.
"Shh!" Gary made a gesture for her to keep quiet, "Don't shout, everyone is already awake."
Celeste fell quiet in an instant. She was sure that he was doing it on purpose.
The more she glared at Gary, the calmer he became. He looked deep into her eyes as if he wanted to eat her alive.
