True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1353
Celeste nodded with a hint of shyness in her eyes.
Gary looked at Celeste seriously for a while, which made her heart skip a beat. She didn't know what he wanted.
"Don't... don't you want to?" When she saw that he was not in a hurry, her cheeks became redder. It made her look even more charming.
She had a temperament that was similar to that of a girl and a woman. She was both enchanting and dazzling.
"I want to," Gary said in a hoarse voice as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down slightly. He stared at Celeste intently. After a while, he continued, "But I know, I can't."
Celeste was stunned.
The next second, Gary kissed her and covered her with a blanket. He then got out of bed and went to the bathroom.
He went to take a cold shower.
Celeste heard the sound of running water and was a little surprised.
However, she suddenly felt warm as she was touched by his actions.
He had endured so much pain. Even though she had given him permission, he had still managed to endure it. He would rather take a cold shower than continue. How could such a proud person be so delicate and considerate?
Celeste looked at the ceiling. Her eyes were squinted, and the corners of her mouth were curved.
She was happy, but she was also worried that he might catch a cold.
With that, Celeste got up quickly. Although she was not feeling well, she already felt much better after a few hours of rest.
She took a bath towel and stood by the bathroom door. After bracing herself, she knocked on the door.
The sound of running water inside came to an abrupt stop.
Celeste said quickly, "Don't bathe too long with cold water. You might catch a cold. I've brought you a towel."
The door suddenly opened.
Gary stood at the door with a dark look in his eyes. He saw Celeste standing in front of him in a silk nightgown. It showed her charming figure perfectly. Gary felt like his nose would start to bleed with just one look at her.
The heat that had been taken away by the cold shower came back instantly.
His bath had been in vain.
He lowered his head to look at himself as his eyes darkened.
Celeste saw the change in him and her eyes widened. She was so scared that she turned away and spoke quickly.
"Here, you should wrap yourself in a towel first."
Gary's handsome face tensed up. He stretched out his hand to take the towel and wrapped it around himself quickly.
Only then did Celeste turn back as she took out a towel to wipe the water on his body.
"It's not good for your health if you take cold showers. I'll go downstairs and boil some water for you. You should drink some warm water," She offered softly. "It's fine," Gary said, "Give me the towel."
"You can't reach it," Celeste turned around and helped him wipe his back. "Let me help you."
She was truly grateful from the bottom of her heart for Gary's care towards her. She was touched.
Such a feeling made her want to give him more love and care. She wanted to do more things for him.
However, Gary's whole body became tenser.
"Give it to me," His tone was a little rough.
Celeste was stunned.
Gary also froze after saying that. He took a deep breath and explained, "If you continue to help me, then my cold shower will be in vain."
Celeste trembled slightly. Soon, Gary had turned around.
They looked into each other's eyes.
Celeste found that his gaze was filled with forbearance.
She was so scared that she handed the towel to him quickly and said, "There you go. You can do it. Don't get angry."
"I'm not angry," Even though Gary said so, his thin lips were still pressed together in a straight line.
He took the towel and gave himself a quick wipe to dry himself off. Then, he reached out to pick Celeste up and placed her back on the bed. Then, her covered her with the quilt.
His eyes grew darker. He looked at her and said slowly, "Don't get too close to me until you recover. I'm not sure if I can control myself until then."
Celeste was taken aback.
Gary stood by the bed and looked at her for a while.
Celeste just looked at him blankly and didn't know what to say. She only felt that there was a complicated feeling in her heart.
"If you're touched, you better recover soon. Otherwise, I don't know how long I can last," Gary sighed, "I'll go down and get some snacks. You just lie here." "Ok," Celeste nodded.
With that, Gary left.
She was alone in the room.
About twenty minutes later, Gary brought over two sandwiches. There were sausages and lettuce in the sandwich. He also brought two cups of hot milk with him. "You made these?" Celeste looked at the food on the plate and couldn't help but ask.
"Take-out isn't so fast," He grinned.
"That means you made it. You're amazing," Celeste praised him sincerely.
Gary placed the big plate on the bedside table and helped her to her feet. He stuffed a pillow behind her back, ensuring that he took good care of her.
Celeste was even more surprised.
Was this the Gary she knew?
Gary used to be arrogant and rude. He would ignore girls and treat them harshly. But now, he was now taking care of her.
He was so considerate. She was really happy.
He handed her the milk.
Celeste took it immediately with both hands.
Wait.
It was hot.
She took a big gulp. It smelled good, so she gulped down a bit more.
After she finished drinking her fill, Gary helped take over the cup from her. He then handed over the sandwiches and wrapped them in paper towels to prevent her hands from getting oily. Celeste took a big bite, and the taste instantly invaded her taste buds. She sighed with satisfaction, "Wow, it tastes good."
Seeing how satisfied she was with the food, Gary's eyes flickered with joy.
Two dishes and a sandwich could satisfy this girl so much. She was too naive.
He sat down next to her and said, "Just eat this first. Don't get hungry. I'll take you to eat delicious food tomorrow."
Celeste nodded, "Then shall we go back tomorrow?"
She was still thinking about going home. After all, this was Gary's first time coming to England for the past four years. Even though Maria and Ernest had both gone to the United States or returned home a few times in the past, it was the first time in four years that the four of them had gotten together in England.
"Do you really want to go back so much?" Gary picked up the sandwich and began to eat.
"I'm afraid that Maria and Ernest will be worried. Moreover, you are in England. If you don't go see them, Aunt Smith will scold you if she finds out," She didn't want Gary to be reprimanded.
"No, she won't," Gary smiled, "Mom won't be so meddlesome."
Seeing that he was so confident, Celeste did not know how to respond.
She just held the sandwich and continued to eat with her head down.
Seeing that she had fallen silent, Gary asked, "Do you really want to go back?"
Celeste raised her head to look at him and nodded.
Gary frowned. His eyes flickered as he said, "Don't tell me you're trying to avoid something?"
Celeste was stunned. Why would he think so?
The next second, Gary looked at her and said coldly, "Then let's go back. I'll sleep in your room. How is your room's sound insulation? Will someone overhear us if you shout?" Celeste was dumbfounded.
He was doing it on purpose.
Celeste felt helpless. She knew what was on his mind, so she didn't argue with him. She only looked up at him with a tender gaze.
"Well, if you want, you can sleep in my room. The sound insulation in my room is ordinary. It's not the best, but I think it's pretty decent."
