The Sweet Pursuit by Golden Autumn -
Chapter 97
Sunny looked at Suzy's back view and smiled slowly. Suzy was so beautiful that even Sunny herself was ashamed of being inferior to her beauty.
If Giannis met Suzy, he would certainly shift his target and take a liking to Suzy instead. Since marrying into the Xenakis family was such a good thing, let the birth daughter of the Shirley family do it instead! After all, she was not related to the Shirley family, so why should she sacrifice herself for the benefit of the Shirley family?
Then, Sunny turned off her phone and waited quietly.
Time went by fast, and Sunny did not dare to dilly-dally any longer. At about half-past six, she got out of the car and walked to West Bank
After entering the restaurant, she told the server the room number. Then, she was led over.
Standing outside the private room, perhaps the sound insulation was too good, she could not hear any movement inside. Sunny pondered for a short while before she knocked on the door lightly.
"Come in!" A man's somewhat irritated voice sounded from inside. Sunny was stunned for a moment. She opened the door to go in. Inside the private room, Giannis was all alone.
He was already getting impatient from waiting, but the moment he saw Sunny, his eyes lit up. He grinned while saying, "Hi, Ms. Shirley." Sunny asked subconsciously, "Where's Suzy?". Giannis asked curiously, "Who's Suzy?"
There was a slight change in Sunny's expression. She clearly saw her coming into the restaurant. Why was she not here?
Giannis asked for the server to step out and close the door. His gaze swept across Sunny's body over and over again unabashedly. He said with a smile, "Please sit, Ms. Shirley!"
The private room was splendidly decorated with crystal chandeliers, precious murals, exquisite tablecloths, flowers, and candlesticks. It was all too wasteful and extravagant.
Sunny had no choice but to sit down and explained embarrassedly, "The traffic was congested on my way over, so I was slightly late."
"It's alright!" Giannis immediately sat on the chair beside Sunny. He picked up the red wine and poured it into the crystal glass. "So long as you were willing to come, I would've waited no matter how late you were, Ms. Shirley."
He squinted and smiled. The acne marks on his face flickered with a greasy light, and Sunny
mediately felt disgusted by the sight. She quickly turned her head away
"It's nice to meet you. Let's have a toast, Ms. Shirley." Giannis put the glass in front of Sunny.
Sunny shifted slightly to avoid Giannis' approach. She lowered her head and said, "I don't drink alcohol."
"Then drink a little less. You won't get drunk that fast." Giannis leaned over even more and was about to get close to Sunny's face. He stared straight at her face and said, "You're so pretty, Ms. Shirley." Sunny endured the nauseous feeling and giggled softly. She said, "That's because you've never seen my sister before, Mr. Xenakis. My sister is more beautiful than me." Giannis said in surprise, "Do you have a sister?" "Yeah. She's taller than me, her complexion is better than mine, and she's even prettier than a celebrity," praised Sunny in a soft voice, and sure enough, Giannis showed an infatuated gaze. Sunny continued, "Why don't I call my sister and ask her to come too, Mr. Xenakis? We'll see if I'm telling you the truth." Giannis thought about it and assumed that Sunny was deliberately trying to divert his attention, so he grinned and said, "It's alright. Let's drink up first. Then you can make the
call."
Sunny had to pick up the wine glass and take a sip.
"Can I make the call now?" Sunny avoided Giannis' physical interaction as his body got closer and closer to her. She clutched her phone tightly.
"Is your sister truly that beautiful?" Giannis found it hard to believe.
"Yes!" Sunny vowed.
As soon as she spoke, the door of the private room suddenly opened wide. Sunny turned around to look and called out in astonishment, "Zeezee!"
