Suzy sat on his opposite. She opened the wine she brought and poured him a glass. "I'm not afraid of you eating me up, but I'm afraid of you deceiving me again."

Sherman smiled in a good-natured manner. "What else could I lie to you about? I can't have two birthdays in a year!" Suzy raised her gaze. "Don't you have any other clever ideas?"

Sherman raised his head and drank the wine she poured. The black earrings on his earlobes shone with a seductive luster. He raised his eyebrows and smiled at her. "Well, next time I'll say that it's my mother's birthday."

Suzy's tone was cold as she responded, "Even if you say that King George himself is celebrating his birthday, I wouldn't help you deliver any more cakes!" "Pfft!" Sherman spat out the wine in his mouth and hurriedly wiped it with a tissue. He could not help but continuously chuckle. "Where on earth will you be sending King George's cake to? The sky? Do you even know the way?"

Suzy, "."

It was a casual remark from her end. Why would he overthink it?

Sherman coughed twice, and his peachy eyes were turning red as he smiled. "Can you stop being so adorable? Or I'll start assuming that you're seducing me!"

Suzy's expression froze, and she looked at him with a gaze filled with warning.

Sherman smiled at her. "I'll stop teasing you. Let's talk business now. Why on earth are you here?"

Suzy replied, "I'm working. Can't you tell?" "What I meant was, why are you working here?" Sherman wanted to laugh again. He did not know what was going on, but every time he talked to Suzy, he would always feel like laughing. Even if she kept a straight face the entire time, he would still feel inexplicably joyful. If he managed to make her angry, he would be even happier!

Suzy did not know what Sherman was laughing about and thought that he was some kind of nutjob. "It's a part-time job for summer vacation. Why are you asking so many questions?"

"Aren't you with George Laine?" Sherman asked curiously, "Is the money he's giving you not enough? Or are you playing some kinky role-playing game here? Isn't the scale too large?" Suzy said, "I'll repeat myself again, I'm here for work. My relationship with George has nothing to do with money." Sherman's eyes widened in shock. He was somewhat startled. "Then what are you doing with him? Are you letting him sleep with you for free?" Suzy's face darkened, and she did not respond. Sherman leaned forward, winked at Suzy through the dim light, and said in a half-serious and half-bewitching manner, "How about you come to me? I'm more generous than George, and

I'll treat you better than him. I'll certainly be reluctant to let you go to work. I can let you live in a villa, drive a luxury car, wear jewelry, and carry a designer bag. I'll send ten servants to serve you every day. I'll even buy you whatever you want. I'll accompany you wherever you want to go. You can spend my money as you like. Does that sound good?" Suzy frowned. "Are you lacking someone to help you spend your money?" Sherman's peachy eyes were gleaming. He nodded gently. "I just don't have you to help me spend it. As long as it's you, I won't feel anything even if I run out of money!" Suzy's eyes looked clear. She sighed and said, "Then you truly are pitiful!" Sherman smiled every softer. "How am I pitiful?" "Your brain's so fried but you're still so optimistic and strong-willed!" Sherman, "..."

He gnashed his teeth, but he simply could not lose his temper. He sneered and said, "I'm not joking with you. I'm being serious. If you leave George and come to me, I promise that I'll honor every word I said to you just now." Suzy looked at him. "How serious are you? As serious as the last girl you were courting whom you asked me to deliver the cake to?"

Sherman, ""

He showed a helpless expression. "I was wrong the last time. I sincerely apologize to you. Will you please put that behind us?"

Suzy was generous and nodded. "You helped me out once with Sena, so I won't put the cake matter to heart anymore. We're even now! And I thank you for standing up for me today, so this bottle of wine is my thanks to you!" Sherman's expression relaxed, and he said happily, "My Zeezee's such a fair person. I'll give you a toast, but I'll pay for the wine! Don't argue with me on this."
