James was beaming at him and smiled meaningfully. "What's the relationship between the two of you? Why do you need to explain anything to her?" George's expression remained the same. "It's even more necessary to explain ourselves when it's between friends."

"Friends?" James snorted. "Don't smear the word 'friend' here."

Afterward, he smiled and continued, "Rest assured. I'm different from you and I have ethics. I don't go around touching such innocent little girls. If she doesn't mind, I'll even consider her my buddy!"

George glared at him disdainfully. "I think you look fine, so it's better if you go home. If you truly can't cope with it, I'm sure your girlfriends can take care of you!"

James frowned. "My injury is an internal injury, and the doctor said that I have to rest for at least a week. Besides, I promised not to do anything to Nelly, so why are you continuously pestering me?" George said slowly, "Suzy often comes to Nelly's place for dinner every night. If you're here, how is she going to come over?"

James showed a shocked expression and shook his head sorrowfully. "I understand it now. Our 20 years of friendship can't even compare to a hair on Suzy's head!"

George sneered. "Why are you comparing yourself to a girl's hair? Did you hit your head too hard?" James raised his hand to cover his head and fell down the sofa with a lifeless expression on his face. George chuckled at him. "Get up. I have something to tell you."

"Oh, right." James sat up and asked, "How was your negotiation with Hilde? What about the Townsends?"

George slowly leaned back on the sofa with a look of arrogance on his cold and quiet expression. "If Hilde didn't cut ties with the Townsends, it wouldn't have been worth me running all the way over there to talk about the collaboration." James smiled at him. "The previous head of the Townsend family must've gone senile. To hand over the entire Townsend business to someone like Bennett Townsend is purely self destruction."

He asked again, "Since the agreement has been signed, when will the work start?" George said, "That's what I wanted to talk to you about. The first project is a super-intelligent

the time comes, we can talk about collaboration."

When this was mentioned, James became interested. "We've been researching this for many years, but we haven't made any major breakthroughs. If we can obtain the core technology of the Merck family, I guarantee that we'll do better!" The two talked about their future cooperation with Hilde for nearly an hour. It was getting

darker.

James took a cigarette out and handed it to George. "You were right to take Suzy there this time around!"

George's expression remained calm. "Even if I hadn't brought Suzy along, I would've tossed Bennett aside anyway. It has nothing to do with me bringing her there." Afterward, he rejected James' cigarette and said, "I've quit!" James was stunned for a moment. Then, he sneered. "Why'd you suddenly quit smoking? Are you trying to get pregnant?"

George glanced over coldly and snorted. "It seems you've already given birth, so why should I be planning to conceive?"

As soon as he said that, he halted. He turned to look over and happened to see Suzy and Nelly standing behind him. Nelly was shocked as if she had heard something extraordinary.

Suzy was still calm, but the look in her eyes was somewhat complicated.

George, "..."

What was with that expression of hers? Was she truly still puzzled over his gender preferences?

James hurriedly smiled and explained to Suzy, "He's joking! Don't take it seriously! I only like women! I have no interest in men!"

Suzy smiled in embarrassment. "There's no need to explain to me." George felt more and more depressed. He raised his wrist to check the time, got up, and said, "I have something else to do at home, so I'm heading back now!" Suzy followed suit and said, "I'm leaving as well. Have a good rest, Mr. Collins!" George said in a low voice, "Why on earth are you heading back? Stay here for dinner and head upstairs after eating!"

Suzy widened her eyes slightly and silently asked the man with her eyes, 'Do you think this is your place? How can you act as if it's a matter of course?!' Nelly hurriedly said, "Stay back, Suzy. I'll be cooking dinner anyway."
