After the call was connected, James' cheerful voice came through. "Have you returned to River City? I'm injured here. Come and visit me!"

George thought he was joking and said calmly, "Did you lose a kidney? Or did someone break your heart?"

James let out a dry chuckle. "I'm being serious. Come quickly!"

George asked, "Where are you?" James replied, "Right below you!"

George was taken aback and narrowed his eyes.

Suzy also took her mobile phone and wanted to call Nelly to ask if she was at home, but George walked over and said, "No need to call her. I'll go down with you." "Huh?" Suzy was puzzled by this. Nonetheless, George did not explain himself and merely took her hand as they headed downstairs.

Since it was one floor away, they did not take the elevator and went straight down the staircase.

When she rang the doorbell, Nelly was the one who opened the door. She was taken aback when she saw Suzy and was even more startled when she saw George. "Why... are the two of you here?"

Suzy turned to look at George, who proceeded to ask in a low voice, "Where's James?"

Suzy and Nelly both widened their eyes in surprise.

James was feeling much better today. At the very least, he was not as dizzy and nauseated all the time. Plus, he could go to the bathroom on his own now. At this moment, the guy was lying on the sofa on the balcony playing a mobile game. Hearing George's voice, he looked up and called out, "I'm here!"

The three walked inside together, and Suzy whispered to Nelly, "What's with this situation?" Nelly asked, "Did you know that this was James Collins' house?"

Suzy nodded. "Yes!"

Nelly bit her lip. "Then why didn't you tell me earlier?" Suzy said, "Do you know James?" Nelly's expression was indescribable.

As the girls were talking, they had arrived at the balcony. George noticed that James had a gauze wrapped around his forehead and asked with a frown, "Are you really injured?" James pointed at Nelly. "Ask her!"

Suzy and George looked over at Nelly simultaneously, and Nelly blushed immediately. "I-I didn't do it on purpose!"

James chuckled and said, "Alright now. Suzy's here, so you can go ahead and chat with her. I have some secret sweet nothings to talk about with George here as well." Nelly immediately dragged Suzy back to her bedroom. Once they were inside the room, Nelly told Suzy the whole story. She said guilty, "I didn't know that James was your uncle's friend. I had no clue that this house was his. That night, I thought that he was a thief and..."

Suzy felt like laughing just from hearing this. "Well, James usually doesn't come here at all, so everything was just a complete coincidence. You're not to blame!" Nelly sighed. "Mr. Collins didn't pin all the blame on me, and he paid for the medical bills himself. So I took a few days off to take care of him, which is considered me trying to make up for it."

Suzy asked, "Did you know James before this?" Nelly shrugged. "I don't know if we're even considered acquaintances." She explained to Suzy about Shiomara and James, then added, "Shiomara's still thinking of ways to get James back every day, all day. But it seems that James already has a girlfriend." Suzy did not expect such an inside story. It turned out that James and Nelly's cousin had a romantic entanglement, then Nelly moved into James' house. Outside the bedroom, George also got a general understanding of the matter. While leaning on the sofa, his voice was lazy and casual as he said, "Well, since it's all a misunderstanding, you should've gone home. Why ask the little lady to take care of you?" James was also somewhat helpless. "It's not like you don't know my mother's temper. If I were to recuperate at home, I'd get driven crazy by her. So I'm taking the opportunity to hide outside for a few days." George shot a glance at him. "Then hire a male nurse!"

James chuckled dryly. "If I hire a male nurse to walk around in front of me all day long, I'm afraid my heart will grow stiff! At first, I was simply bitter about it and wanted to tease her, but then I found out that she cooks really well!" George's face looked insipid, and his tone was a little more solemn. "I couldn't care less if it were any other women, but Nelly is Suzy's friend. You'd better not harm her or I won't be able to explain myself to Suzy."
