The Possessive Alpha -
Chapter 94
DAMON POV
“What are you saying, Damon?” My mother asks, trying to walk toward me again, but one look and the snarl leaving my mouth has her stepping back, fear covering her features.
“Stop playing stupid, mother,” I say in Slade’s animalistic growl, my black eyes glaring as my father steps toward her, “we all know you’re the smartest person in this room, so cut the crap.”
“Damon, there is no going back once an official challenge is issued,” my father says, his voice dead, his eyes black as Poseidon comes forwards to be present in this moment. “Are you sure this is what you want to do?”
“Yes, I challenge you,” I growl. The tension from the others in the room nearly suffocates me; my lungs feel like they’re being filled with sand. “Do you accept?”
“Yes,” my father says, his voice steady, his black eyes never straying from mine, while my mom’s sobs fill my ears. “I am assuming a fight to the death isn’t necessary?”
“Unless you refuse to hand over the files,” I counter, my voice colder than a walk-in freezer, “death isn’t necessary.”
“If you win fairly and honorably, I will hand it over willingly,” he responds, not removing his eyes from me, not even to check on my mother, who is frantic standing between us as she looks from me to him, and back again like she doesn’t know what has gotten into
either of us.
“Seconds?” I ask, not wasting time, both of us turning at the same time to look at our men. I don’t need to look at the others to know Andrew is out of the question; he is a great second but not if it means going against his father. Plus, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Matt and Toby are itching for the chance to do this.
The giant grins on the father and son duo decide for us as we say their names together. Andrew and Jake are taking in a giant breath of relief while the Gamma men are practically dripping with giddiness. “Tonight at sunset. I have other s**t I need to get done, and I can’t waste it on this.”
“Very well,” my father replies, “sunset at the training field. I’ll notify the rest of the pack.” His eyes returning to their normal blue, Poseidon is no longer needed now that the challenge has been accepted and the details arranged.
“Damon, please,” my mom begs, “we just did what-“
Whipping my head in her direction, a snarl leaves my lips; my words become liquid nitrogen as they leave my mouth, turning everything around me to ice. “I have been begging you for weeks to include me. I have been warning you for weeks that this great plan won’t work without our inclusion, but you just ignored me, and now Elle is f*****g gone. SHE IS GONE!! Do you get that? And you better pray to the Goddess that the sick f**k who has her hasn’t touched what’s mine!”
Without waiting to hear more, I am turning away from them and out the door headed down the hallway while the others stay there in stunned silence. Eventually, I hear the footsteps of Andrew and Matt behind me as I head up the steps to the only place worth being right now.
Going up the two flights, I reach the floor, letting muscle memory lead me through the house. I find the only door I care to look at right now. Opening the door, inhaling deeply while my eyes are closed, I enjoy every drop of Elle’s cinnamon scent, Savoring it like the most precious gift in the world.
“Well,” I call out without looking behind me, “are you coming in, or are you standing out there all night?”
“As long as you can promise we won’t retroactively die for this,” Matt quips, standing in the doorway of Elle’s room and peeking inside with curiosity, “I’ve always wondered what the inside of her room looks like.”
DAMON POV
“What are you saying, Damon?” My mother asks, trying to walk toward me again, but one look and the snarl leaving my mouth has her stepping back, fear covering her features.
A residual slap rings out, along with Matt’s “ow” as Andrew scolds him, “he might not have killed you before but keep being a dumbass, and it’ll happen.”
Since I am still facing away from them, I let a smirk grace my lips for a split second before enjoying their banter and remembering that it’s time to get serious again. Elle needs me to be serious right now. “Get in here!”I command, turning at the perfect time to see them simultaneously try to walk through the door, getting themselves stuck.
Rolling my eyes at their antics, I turn towards the gym, opening the glass door to enter the small hallway to Elle’s private gym, the stooges following behind me, smart enough not to make further comments about where Elle sleeps.
“Wooooow,” Matt mutters as he looks around the gym, perfectly sized for one person, with its top-of-the-line equipment, “well, this helps answer so many questions.”
“Do you know how to shut up?” Andrew snaps, pinching the bridge of his nose, exasperated by the stress of the last few days, and Matt’s shenanigans aren’t helping matters.
“Maybe,” Matt grumbles, “but you can’t disagree with me.” Ignoring them I walk over to the stereo turning it on and connecting in my phone still sitting in my pocket picking out the perfect playlist to take my mind off of the s**t storm my life has suddenly become.
As I scroll through my playlist Andrew comes to stand beside me hands in his pocket, a guilty vibe emanating from him in droves.
“Thanks for making Matt your second.”
“No offense,” I say, my attention still on the playlist selection, “I would never ask you to fight your dad. You’d always pull back. Toby and Matt are twisted f***s who crave this sort of stuff. They’ll be better for this kind of stuff.” I finally take my eyes off my phone screen picking the perfect playlist. “Plus, you are my Beta your responsibility is your Luna. I want to know every action taken, clue found, and the places warriors have visited while I was in a comma. There are six hours until sunset, find out anything my parents may have kept hidden from you guys.”
“Yes, Alpha,” he replies with a curt nod, turning on his heel, hurrying out the door without argument doing what he can to find out the secrets that are harder to cover up. Not every plot hole in their plan can be covered up, and wherever they are I’ll find them.
“Alright,” I clap my hands turning around to look at him to join him on the sparring mat, “you ready for tonight?”
“Hell yes,” Matt grins devilishly, “I have been dying for a chance like this.”

JONAH POV
5 Nights Ago- Damon’s Birthday Ball
The early morning light is beginning to peak over the horizon as Eli pulls the SUV we rented for the six hour journey turns onto a long, narrow dirt road. Trees line both sides of the sides looking like the early scenes of a horror film.
As we get further down the drive we find another car sitting, in the middle of the large field facing us, I can make out the outline of two large figures, Tiberius and his Beta, with a smaller figure sitting in the middle. Thor going wild at the sight of her itching to open the door and fly to her.
Keeping a reign on him I remind him what will happen if tonight doesn’t go perfectly. After another minute of wild howling and panting he finally calms before Eli puts the vehicle into park, both of us taking a large gulp of hair in preparation of the next twenty minutes as we make the swap.
Small g****s can be heard in the backseat as our captures start waking up just in time to meet the man waiting in the other car. Getting out of the passenger seat, I open the back, unbuckling Charity as she glares at me with more vitriol I thought possible from her petite frame.
Refusing to look at her I wrap my hand around her forearms, pulling her from the seat roughly before shoving her on the ground, Eli has has Elle’s bound arms in a fierce grip while dragging her protesting body into the middle of the field shoving her onto ground in front of the other men.
I have an unconscious Theo by the neck and arm lifting his dead weight from the car, while Eli does the same with Charity dumping them behind a silent Elle who refuses to shed a tear for her new circumstances. Her defiance inciting Tiberius’ wrath as he approaches kneeling before her triumph radiating throughout him.
“I’ll have so much fun breaking you,” he whispers in her ear, a silent gag leaving my throat watching as he reaches out to stroke her face, but she still refuse to flinch away from him. Behind them is the Beta and his heir awaiting instructions.
“Good job fulfilling the last minute requirements I gave you,” Tiberius says. Standing up he looks at an unconcious Theo, kicking his boot “This one is more useless than his father. But her,” he spins looking to Charity, “my Beta is excited to get his claw into his new mate.” Glancing behind him at the Beta licking his lips in excitement.
Ignoring the guilt that is slowly starting to choke me, I call out, across the field wanting to be done with this whole evening and back home already. “I have held up my end of the bargain, where is Tiffany?” At the mention of her name the door opens and she steps out. But I notice how frail she looks and the way she skirts around until she makes it across the field to me.
“Get in the car” I instruct, trying so hard to make her meet my eyes, but she doesn’t, it’s like I am not even there to her as she nods faintly and does as she is told. I can’t help but stare after her, she looks more broken than the day I met her. Looking back to Tiberius I give him one last look of contempt before piling in the SUV with Eli and Tiffany.
As we back down the driveway I try to ignore the guilt creeping down my throat knowing I led those three like pigs to a slaughter.

48 Hours Later
After a six hour plane ride and a three hour drive we are finally pulling the car in front of the small cabin I had recently purchased for us to I’ve in. Tucked deep into the forest far away from others is where our new home sits, with no need to ever return to pack life.
I told Eli I would call once we were settled into our new home but that was a lie, I have no intention of calling or ever going back. Once the exchange ceremony was completed, I was off of the territory again with Charity in tow running as I can. Wanting to be nowhere near Damon, or New Moon, if he should find out about my involvement in Elle’s disappearance.
“Home sweet home, Tiff,” I say, reaching across the center for her hand but she flinches away looking out the window, not saying a word nor has she in the last two days.
‘Stop pushing her,’ Thor growls, growing annoyed with my constant attempts to touch her but I can’t help it, I need to feel the tingles of our bond. I need to know she is really here with me. ‘It’s killing me too but we need to give her time and let her come to us.’
Knowing he is right, I stop trying, exiting the car door and walking around to the other side to open her door for her keeping my distance as we walk up the stairs towards the rest of our lives together.
