The Lycan King’s Rejected Queen Chapter 98

Alina opened her eyes. She saw she was in her room. She sat up immediately and looked around her.

‘When did I come here? Was I dreaming about the illusion? Do I still have time?’

Alina got down from the bed and went towards the window. She opened the window blind and looked outside.

The sky was dark. She frowned. What is happening?

She heard the sound of the opening door. She turned around. Alpha Rick entered her room.

“Rick!”

“When did you wake up, Alina?”

Alina made her way to him. “Rick. I saw everything in my dream. That night, the incident, everything. Was I dreaming about it, Rick? Tell me I have time, tell me.”

Rick sighed and did not reply to her.

Alina’s eyes widened. She put her hand over her mouth. “I-I lost my last chance to prove my innocence. What will I do now?” She looked like a crazy woman who did not know what would happen to her life.

She looked at Alpha Rick. “Who took me here?” What happened after I fainted?”

Alpha Rick told her to sit down first. He went to the bedside and poured a glass of water.

He gave the glass to Alina. “Drink water, first.”

Alina took the glass and chugged down. She was thirsty.

Alpha Rick looked at her condition and replied,

“When you fainted, Melissa contacted me about you. I took you here. I called my pack doctor. When he came here and checked on you, he said you will take some time to wake up.

You were unconscious for one day. Tomorrow is the crown and mating ceremony.”

Alina looked puzzled. “I was unconscious for the whole day?”

Alpha Rick nodded at her.

Alina stood up suddenly. “It’s night time. That means I still have some hours. I can do something. At least with some spell I can change a little thing.”? She said like a mad woman and wanted to go out but Alpha Rick grabbed her arms.

“No, you can’t, Alina. Please control yourselves.”

Alina turned to him. “What do you mean? I know it was my last chance. But I still have some hours-“

“Melissa told you before, Alina. It is a one time thing.”

Tears dripped out of her eyes. “How did this happen Rick? All of my hard work, all of the powers Melissa gave to be going down the drain. What should I do now? He will kill me. I will always be a murderer.”

“Relax.”

“No I can’t Rick, I can’t. I am lost in all the ways. Why the Moon Goddess is not helping me. How could she know about the illusion? She knew it would make everything worse. She even tried to kill me in the illusion.”

Alpha Rick patted her back. “Don’t worry. Everything will be fine. I will kill her.”

Alina shook her head. “No, killing her is not a solution.”

“One day you will be successful in removing the blame from your head.”

“When will the day come?”

“Very soon.”

Alpha Rick hugged her and gave her his chest to cry.

“I will plan everything. Remember? No one can harm you if you are in my pack. I will make you my Luna. You will learn to live your life in a dominating way.”

Alina felt warmth in his chest. Alpha Rick was a good person but she did not want him or his pack to endure any humiliation for her. She felt upset that he would have to accept a woman who got the blame for killing a king. What if someone got to know about it? What would happen to him?

Alpha Rick looked at her. “I have never said that. But I am happy that my mate is happy with someone else. I want to start my life with you. Will you be my life partner?”

Alina looked at his hand. He was waiting for her to grab his hand. She smiled at him.

“You are a good person, Rick. I don’t deserve you.”

“But I want you to stay with you. In these three months I have never regretted for taking the decision. I have never regretted wanting you as my Luna.”

Alina stared at him. Alina also wanted to forget her past and restart her life happily.

Though she did not know if she could love anyone again or not, she would try.

She looked down at his hand. She smiled at him and was about to give him his hand but stopped when heard a knock on her door.

Alpha Rick hissed angrily. “What a bad timing!” He murmured.

Alina chucked at him. “Let me check who has come at this time.”

Alina stood up and headed to the door.

Alpha Rick looked at his empty hand and shook his head.

Alina opened the door and saw Rick’s mother, Luna Julie. Well, the former Luna.

Luna Julie looked inside the room and saw her son sitting on the bed. She grinned at him then skimmed at Alina.

“What were you two doing?” She asked.

“We didn’t do anything.” Alina replied as if she was a kid who got caught by her parents.

A voice came behind her.

“What can we do if you disturb us at this time, mom?”

Alina glared at Rick. Rick shrugged his shoulders.

“Good. Now listen to me. I have something to tell you too.”

Luna Julie entered the room and sat down on the couch.

“How are you now, Alina?”

Alina sat beside her. “I am fine.”

“That’s a relief. Because tomorrow you have to attend ceremonies. Hope your health will be better.”

Alina nodded to her. Alpha Rick saw his mother thinking about something.

“What happened, Mom?”

“I heard you didn’t give an invitation to the Lycan King. Your father is angry at you. We were busy today with your wedding arrangements and you were also not here. So we could not talk to you about it.”

Hearing about the Lycan King, Alina’s heart is beating fast again. She did not know what he would do to her. It would be better if she got married to Alpha Rick, otherwise, no one could save me from him.

Alina bit her lower l*p while thinking about her parents.

She did not try to contact them again after running away from the pack. She did not know how they were. Though Beta Lucas said that they were okay, she was still worrying about them.

One thing was for sure, she could not invite them this time. Last time, they came happily to her wedding but who knew how much they needed to humiliate her?

She knew King Aaron did not let any news spread in his kingdom about his father’s death. So she did not know whether everything was okay with her parents or not. She guessed they hated her now. They did not tell her to come and it was the right thing for her.

If she did not come here, she would not have to bear all of this.

“I don’t care about him. He is the Lycan king, he came from here last week. Do you think he would come if I invited him?”

“What are you saying, Rick? You are an Alpha, not a normal but a true b***d Alpha. Of course, he would come. And one more thing, don’t forget that we have an alliance with his realm. Your father requested him for that and then he agreed to that not before that.”

Alpha Rick closed his eyes. He could not tell his mother that he could not invite that man. He was after his future Luna. He was eager to kill her and he was wanting to save her.

“I will think about it.”

Luna Julie shook her head. “No. Don’t think. Just send an invitation to him. If he doesn’t want to come, it’s his choice. At least he can not say that we didn’t invite him.”

Alpha Rick peeked at Alina who was lost in her thoughts. He knew what she was thinking.

“I will invite him.”

Alina was startled by Alpha Rick’s words.

Alpha Rick nodded at her as if telling him to trust him.

Alina sighed and nodded back.

Luna Julie stood up and said, “Okay then. Goodnight both of you. Sleep earlier. Tomorrow is a big day for both of you.”

Then Luna Julie left Alina’s room.

Alpha Rick stood up and Alina followed him.

“I think mom is right. We should sleep early. By the way, are you hungry?”

Alina shook her head. Alpha Rick chucked.

“You didn’t eat anything the whole day. I will send a maid with your dinner. Just eat and sleep. See you tomorrow.”

Alina stared at him for a few seconds then nodded.

“Good Night, Rick.”

“Good night, Alina.”

Alpha Rick left the room too.

After some minutes a maid came with her dinner. She had her dinner and went to her bed.

She looked at the ceiling and thought,

‘I hope everything will be okay, tomorrow.’
