“We don’t want to see you. So don’t call us again to disturb us.”

Alina’s father cut the call. Alina grabbed her phone tight.

They always ignored her as if she was not their daughter. Her parents had no other child, only her, so why did they not love her?

Alina went to the window and stood there. She did not want to cry.

Her mate told her not to cry. She would not cry.

She wanted to tell Crystal everything that her father told her. But she could not face Crystal.

Everytime she looked at Crystal she felt herself a traitor.

Three days passed,

Alina went for training every day. She learned a few new things daily. She felt pain at first when she learned those fighting tricks but after one day, she did not feel the pain again.

Crystal went to her aunt everyday. Now she went out of the pack house early in the morning and came back at night.

Atlas told Alina and Daisy that after his son came, he would tell his son to make Crystal the royal witch immediately.

Alina learned that When Crystal got the title she would be more powerful. She was working hard for that.

Alina was happy for Crystal. She did not know much about Witch. But she stayed with Crystal for five years. So she knew Crystal had some power to stop fire and break things without touching it.

Alina did not know about witchcraft or how witches do magic. Crystal had never told her about these.

Alina and Daisy became close. Alina spent all the time with Daisy now. Daisy felt happy that Alina was getting along with all the ritual and work.

Daisy knew this girl was in her son’s heart. So she talked about different rituals daily to introduce it to her.

Alina tried to be happy. But her father’s words did not let her calm. Everytime she thought about something, her father’s words came up in her mind to make her emotional.

In these three days, Aaron did not call her again, he did not even send her any message.

Alina felt worried about him. She wanted to call him everyday but she thought he would be busy so she did not call him in these three days.

At night,

Alina was changing her clothes. When she saw her phone ringing she ran to her phone and received it immediately.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“You are so fast.” Aaron replied.

“Hmm.” Alina hummed shyly and sat on her bed.

“I am okay. Were you missing me?” He asked.

Alina smiled. “Hmm.”

She heard him chuckling. Her heart ran fast. She had never seen him smiling. So it was new for her.

“How are you Darling?”

Alina grabbed her bedsheet tightly.

Why did this man’s voice always feel seductive to her?

She remembered how he pulled her on his lap and whispered in her ears.

Alina replied softly,

“I am fine. How are you , Mate?”

“Can your king ever be bad?”

“I was waiting for your call.”

“I was busy all the time.”

“Is everything okay there?”Alina asked. She thought he was busy with all the meetings in the other pack and their Alphas.

“I am preparing for a war.” He replied.

Alina gasped.

“W-War?”

“Yeah.”

Alina was silent. She did not like wars. Because wars were full of deaths. She was afraid of death. She did not want to die and did not want to see people die.

“Are you afraid that I will be defeated?” Aaron asked.

“N-No, but…”

“But?”

“But what if you get injured?” Alina asked softly. She remembered his wound in his hand.

“I will come back alive. Don’t worry.”

“How is your hand?”

“It has healed.”

“Okay.”

Alina was thinking about how her life had changed so much. Her mate now talked with her on the phone. They were very far yet very close.

“How are your days going?” He asked.

“I am spending all my day with Aunt Daisy. She tells me about rituals.”

“Seems like she understood my motive and began to prepare you.”

Alina frowned at his words.

“Motive?”

“Hmm, motive. I will be back soon. So don’t worry about me. I have some work then I will go to the war. I can not call you again. So take care of yourself.”

Alina sighed. She read in novels that a lonely Queen and her lonely life when she waited for her King to come back. But her King came back after a long time of her waiting.

‘Did I have to wait a long time for him? Will this war take time?’

She thought and felt upset.

“Mate.” She said.

“Yes?”

“I-I..”

Alina went quiet while talking. Aaron was listening to her.

“I am listening.”

Alina took a deep breath and said, “I will wait for you. Please come back without getting injured.”

Aaron did not reply to anything.

“Mate? Did you hear what I said?”

“I promise. I will be back without any injury.”

Alina smiled. She was surprised that this man was listening to him and talking with him so softly. She could tell him all the things in her mind in phone calls.

She was feeling like she had a boyfriend now and she was talking with him without letting anyone know in her house. She chuckled in her thoughts.

“What? Why are you laughing?”

“Nothing. I was just thinking about something.”

“Tell me your thoughts.”

Alina could not tell him what she was thinking, not at all.

But she wanted to ask him about a thing that she wanted to know desperately.

“When will you accept me, Mate?”

She thought Aaron would not reply about it and he would take time to think about it, then he would answer her.

But he replied to her. When he replied to her, it shocked her. She could not believe just like he shook her mind four days ago when he told her that she would be his Queen.

Today he answered her question. He told her,

“The day I return, I WILL DECLARE YOU AS MY QUEEN.”
