Selena was in her room with her parents. Her parents had come today. Following week would be the Crown ceremony.

Though Aaron was not talking about anything again and his mother was very sick. But he did not cancel anything either.

So every pack member knew the Crown ceremony would be held next week. All the villages under the kingdom were decorating their villages. They assumed that this time they would get their Queen for sure.

The Lycans were also happy that a Lycan would be their Queen. They did not have any complain like last time.

“I am worrying about King Aaron. I think he will cancel the ceremony. The health of the Queen mother is the main concern now.” Selena said.

Her father shook his head. “Don’t worry, it is just the first day of this week. We still have ten days. He will not cancel and hopefully, Queen mother will wake up soon.”

“I hope so, father.” Selena said.

Selena’s mother smiled at her daughter. “Don’t stop to get training and don’t try to get rest. You have to be the best Queen. I believe you will be the best one. The Queen mother believed in you so she chose you from everyone. Don’t disappoint her. If she did not pick you, you would have lived a mateless life right now.”

They did not know about Aaron marking Alina. Selena looked down and said in a low voice,

“King marked his slave, mother.”.

“WHAT?” Her mother and father both shouted.

“How could he do this? How can our daughter now live a mateless life? She does not have any mate.” Her mother cried aloud.

Selena felt upset. Hearing about mate, another name came into her mind. Suddenly, she felt an unknown pain in her heart.

She thought about Alpha Rick. She was not mateless. She had a mate and she was avoiding him. Or she could say they both were avoiding each other.

Meanwhile,

Crystal went to her Aunt’s home. It was evening time so the whole sky was getting darker.

She went inside and saw that her Aunt was sitting on the couch.

“Aunt, how are you?”

Darcy turned her head to her niece and nodded.

“I am not so fine, my child.” She said with a harsh tone.

“What happened again?” Crystal asked and went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water.

She came to Darcy and asked,

“Do you forget what we have to do today?”

Darcy shook her head. “I didn’t forget.”

“Today we have to toss our last coin and play our last turn. Today no one can stop us, Aunt.”

Darcy smiled at her and nodded.

“I will try my best. Just don’t forget that we will not have much time.”

“Why?”

“I am not well, my child. I don’t know if I can do it as I did a few months ago. My power is not that strong now. I am feeling sick and I am worried if my spells will work correctly or not.”

A fire of anger glowed in Crystal’s eyes. “You have to be okay. If you can not help me today, I will kill you.”

Darcy was shocked by her own niece’s word. She had never thought that her niece would be blind to power and that one day she would want to kill her.

“How can you say that, Crystal? I have always supported you.”

“I only want to be the Queen. I don’t care for anyone. Aaron and his Queen’s position will be mine. That’s it.” Crystal said.

When Crystal realized what she said she immediately tried to change her words.

“I am sorry, Aunt. I did not mean it. I was angry at myself, not you. I know you will try your best. Just be prepared at midnight. I will also do my best. Then after tomorrow, you will lead a luxurious life too.”

Darcy did not argue with her and nodded to her.

Crystal went back to the pack house. She saw a middle aged couple. She headed to them. Selena smiled at Crystal and said,

“They are my parents, Crystal. Father, mother, this is Crystal. She is our royal witch.”

Crystal smiled at Selena’s parents. “Nice to meet you both.”

They also smiled at her and said the same.

Crystal asked about King Aaron. Selena said he was not in the pack house so she could not introduce her parents to him yet.

Crystal nodded and walked to her room but she stopped and waited there for Selena and her parents to leave.

When she saw they left for their room with Selena, Crystal went to the royal residence.

A few maids looked at her but did not stop her. They thought she was the royal witch, so she might have taken King’s permission.

But the guards who were standing outside of Daisy’s room stopped Crystal.

“You can not go inside.” One of the guards said.

“Why?” Crystal asked.

“King Aaron ordered us not to let anyone enter his mother’s room. So we can not let you enter.”

Crystal frowned at the guards. It was night time and the whole palace was silent. She did not want to create any scene, at least not tonight.

Crystal saw a maid going to a room with a plate of food and then came out.

She looked at the maid carefully. It was the same maid who came to talk to Alina alone when she was talking with her. Crystal did not know her name but stopped her.

“What is your name I can not remember.” Crystal said.

“I am Shaline. How can I help you, Miss Graham?”

“I want to see Alina.”

“Well, she is sleeping right now. But you can go to her room. That room.” Shaline pointed at the room she just came out to Crystal.

Crystal nodded and walked to Alina’s room. She was happy that Alina was sleeping. Her work would be easy tonight.

She opened the door and saw Alina sleeping. She slowly slipped inside and saw the plate on the small tool beside the bed.

She smirked and stepped slowly. She bent down and took out a bottle. It was the same bottle she used at Alina’s wedding.

She mixed the liquid with the food which would make unconscious whoever ate the food.

Crystal stood up straight and looked at Alina. Alina’s eyes were still closed.

“Sleep peacefully just tonight, who knows if you get to see the sun tomorrow or not.”

The moment Crystal got out of the room.

Alina opened her eyes.
