Aaron was working in his office, making himself busy with his pack’s work.

He did not want to waste his time with all the things happening right now in his life.

For him, his pack was his main concern.

He heard a knock. “Come in.” He permitted.

Shaline came inside with a nervous face.

“When did you come back?” Aaron asked her.

Shaline was his chief royal maid. She went to visit her parents outside.

“A few hours ago, my king.” She said and bowed.

“What happened?”

“My king, Queen mother…” Shaline paused.

Aaron frowned at her. “Now what?” He asked with an angry face. He thought his mother wanted something again related to Selena.

He just declared that he would marry the woman who his mother wanted him to marry. He could understand his mother’s feelings. But it was his life. He did not want anyone to interfere in his life.

“The Queen Mother is in another room and she is not waking up.”

Aaron stood up with a worried face. “What do you mean?” He asked.

“My king, a few maids were searching for her to tell her to come for dinner but they did not find her in her room. They found her in another room in the left corner. She was sleeping so the maids did not disturb her. But after half an hour they went to wake her up and she was not waking up. They called all the officials and told me to inform you.”

Aaron went out of his residence and ran to the room where his mother was sleeping. He thought his mother was no more and he lost his last parent.

Shaline was following Aaron but was stopped by Alina.

“Shaline? When did you come back?” Alina asked. Her eyes were swollen. She did not come out of her room from the time she went there.

“I came back a few hours ago. I will talk to you later. Queen mother Daisy’s health is not good. I am going there.” Shaline said.

Alina was surprised. “Aunt Daisy’s health is not good? What happened?”

“I don’t have time to explain. If you want, you can follow me, Alina.”

Alina nodded and headed there with Shaline.

When Alina reached there, she saw the pack doctor was there, treating Daisy.

Every member of the pack house was there, standing and waiting for the pack doctor’s words. They also did not know what happened to Daisy.

Alina looked at Aaron who was sitting on the edge of the bed beside Daisy.

He was holding Daisy’s hand tightly, as if he did not want to leave her. He looked steady but Alina knew inside his heart, he was afraid to lose his mother.

“I can’t understand what is happening to her.” The pack doctor said.

“What do you mean by that?” Aaron asked with a furious look.

The pack doctor felt scared by Aaron’s look.

“My king, She is totally fine but just unconscious. She should have woken up by now. I can’t understand why she is not waking up. I gave her some dose, she will wake up soon.”

“When?” Aaron asked.

“Maybe in two days.”

“If not then what will you do?” Beta Lucas asked. He asked the question before Aaron. Because he knew his best friend’s temper. He would kill the doctor if his mother would not wake up soon.

“If not, then it must be something else rather than fainting.” The pack doctor replied.

Aaron glared. “I made you my pack doctor. You are eligible for everything. Why don’t you treat her now?”

“Aaron, just calm down. Let him do his job.” Beta Lucas said.

“Lucas is right. Everything will be okay. We should wait for two days.” Delta Darren said.

Alina was looking at the woman who was lying on the bed. The pain was written all over her face.

Alina turned her head to Crystal. She looked sad but Alina knew Crystal was somehow related to this matter.

Aaron nodded at the pack doctor and told everyone to come to the living room.

Everyone followed him leaving Daisy with the pack doctor who was setting her IV drop.

Alina looked at Daisy for the last time and left the room.

Shaline told Alina that she was going back to the king’s residence because it was the meeting between pack members and she was a maid.

Alina thought she was also not a family member of Aaron. Because she was just a slave not a member of his family.

She was going back to the king residence but she heard Aaron.

“Where are you going?”

Alina stopped and turned to him. “I am going back to my room.”

“Didn’t you hear what I said in that room? Stand up there with others.” Aaron pointed her to Selena, Silvia, and Crystal.

Alina nodded and stood beside Silvia. Aaron looked at four of them and asked,

“When did you talk with my mother last?”

Crystal shook her head. “I could not talk to her the whole day. In fact, I was busy on my own.”

Selena felt nervous. Aaron was glaring at all four of them equally.

“My king, I talked to her before your announcement. After that, I have not talked to her again. I was busy talking with my family the whole day.”

Silvia also said she did not know about it and Lucas assured Aaron that she was not with Daisy.

Crystal looked at Aaron and said,

“My king, I was busy talking with my aunt the whole day, you can ask her. We are Aunt Daisy’s well wishers. But she was in the room beside Alina’s old room. I wonder what she was doing there. Perhaps…”

Crystal paused and glanced at Alina.

Alina’s eyes widened upon hearing that. She looked at Aaron immediately.

Aaron glared at her and asked her,

“Did you do something to my mother?”

Aaron nodded at the pack doctor and told everyone to come to the living room.
