The next afternoon, at the Jenkins family's grand estate, Rosa was busy giving orders to the butler. "Tony, make sure the kitchen whips up a few of Eve's favorite dishes for tonight," she instructed. "Of course, ma'am." Tony nodded before heading off to the kitchen.

Pulling out her phone, Rosa decided against calling Evelyn. Knowing she was at work, she sent a voice message instead. "Hey Eve, I've got the kitchen cooking up your favorites. Swing by for dinner after work." Assuming Evelyn was caught up in her day, Rosa didn't think much of the lack of response and went upstairs for her afternoon nap.

By around four in the afternoon, Rosa noticed she still hadn't heard back from Evelyn. Concerned, she tried calling her.

"The number you have dialed is currently unavailable," the automated message informed Rosa, causing her to frown.

It wasn't like Evelyn to have her phone off during work hours. With growing concern, Rosa dialed Charles' number, but there was no answer.

Determined, she called Aiden directly. "Where's Charles?" she demanded.

"Ma'am, Mr. Jenkins is in a meeting," Aiden replied calmly, fully aware of Rosa's disdain for Dahlia. If Rosa knew Charles had been at the hospital with Dahlia and her daughter since midnight, she'd be livid. "Get him on the phone," Rosa insisted, her voice firm.

Aiden knew that Rosa was the person Charles cared about most. Realizing he couldn't keep it from her, he confessed, "Mr. Jenkins is at the hospital." "What kind of trouble is Dahlia causing now?" Rosa's face darkened as an uneasy feeling settled in her stomach.

"Ma'am, Ms. Evelyn was accused of having someone hurt Ms. Dahlia," Aiden explained. Considering Rosa's memory lapses, he kept Sandy out of it. "And Charles believes it? What's he done to Eve? Has he involved the police?" Rosa's demeanor shifted dramatically, worry driving her to her feet. Whenever Dahlia was in the picture, he seemed to lose all sense. It frustrated Rosa to no end, and she feared for Evelyn's well-being.

"No, Mr. Jenkins had someone else take the fall. Eve's name hasn't come up," Aiden assured her.

But Rosa's worry didn't wane. "Where is Eve?" she demanded, her tone heavy with concern.

With no other option, Aiden revealed, "She's in the basement at Greenrose."

The mention of the basement made Rosa's eyes widen, her composure faltering. "Get the car ready," she commanded urgently.

Half an hour later, Rosa arrived at Greenrose, a property owned by the Jenkins family. She stormed inside with four bodyguards in tow and headed straight for the basement.

She found the power was cut, and one bodyguard quickly restored it while another opened the basement door.

"Eve!" Rosa called out as soon as the door swung open.

The basement lights flickered on,

hair, plastering it to her face, and silent tears traced down her cheeks.

The sight was heartbreaking, and Rosa's eyes welled up with tears. She rushed to Evelyn's side, her heart acking as she looked at her unconscious granddaughter. "Oh, my Eve... Quick! Get her to the hospital," she urged, her voice filled with urgency.
