Charles' breath hitched. The look in his eyes darkened as he gazed at Evelyn. Across from them, Dahlia's teeth were nearly grinding to dust. What a bitch...

"Who said you can sit down? Go make dinner already." Carmen's voice was cold and unyielding.

"Of course, Carmen." Evelyn slowly stood up, and before doing so, she released Charles' hand, her fingers trailing down his spine.

A tingling sensation spread through him, causing Charles' breath to hitch and his body to tense.

"Aunt Carmen, I'll go help too." Dahlia made a show of standing up.

Sena grabbed her. "Dahlia, there's no need for you to go. That's a servant's job. You're going to be the future Mrs. Jenkins. We can't have you doing such things, right, Charles?" "Uh-huh." Charles' gaze unnoticeably followed Evelyn, his response distracted.

Evelyn had just reached the kitchen door when she heard Charles' words. She paused for a moment, then continued on.

"Dahlia, let me take you and Sandy for a walk in the garden." Sena took Dahlia and Sandy by the hand.

"Charles, coming?" Dahlia asked.

"I've got things to handle." He stood and walked upstairs.

...

Carmen deliberately made things difficult for Evelyn. She sent all the kitchen staff away on various errands, leaving Evelyn alone.

Evelyn was prepared. It wasn't her first time.

Before, she was willing to serve the whole family for Charles' sake.

But now, things changed. If they made her cook, they'd better prepare to eat it.

With an expressionless face, she tied on an apron and began preparing the ingredients.

A large hand opened the kitchen door from outside, and a burning hot body pressed up against her from behind.

Charles pinned Evelyn against the countertop, his deep, husky voice in her ear. "What were you just doing?"

His breath was scorching. Evelyn shrank her neck from the heat, her hands on the countertop involuntarily tightening.

She turned around, pushing against Charles' chest. She was about to push him away, when Dahlia's voice came from outside. "Where's Charles?"

Dahlia had returned but did not find Charles in the upstairs study. She came downstairs and asked the servants.

Evelyn stopped her pushing motion. Her hands slid slowly up his chest, hooking around his neck. Her body leaned back slightly, and her gaze locked onto his.

She seemed just like before when her love for him showed in her eyes. Her rosy lips slightly parted as she saidol was obviously... seducing you."

Evelyn was incredibly beautiful, a perfect beauty in every sense. Those eyes were innocent yet had a unique charm alt her own. When she

at someone, it was as if sheed

steal their soul. She's seductive without even realizing it.

"Didn't you break up with me?" Charles pinched Evelyn's waist, his thumb provocatively rubbing and pressing on her slender waist. Evelyn couldn't help but tremble sensitively. Her eyes misted over, making her already captivating eyes even more entrancing.

She tiptoed, bringing her lips close to his. She smelled as sweet as orchids, and her voice was sultry. "Didn't you say no?"

Evelyn had used her body to keep Charles at Oakwood Manor countless times before. She knew exactly how to seduce him.

Charles' gaze darkened, and his grip on Evelyn's waist suddenly tightened. He pushed her against him, then pinned her against the countertop. His large hand gripped her chin, and a barrage of kisses descended upon her.

Evelyn wrapped her arms around Charles' neck, not resisting as before but instead opening her mouth to welcome him. She was perfectly submissive. Charles' breathing was completely erratic.
