There's that trick again.

Ezra chuckled lightly, not hiding the contempt and impatience in his eyes.

"Arabella, if you really put your hands on them, I'll have Aden Ruth make an extra cut in the exact same spot."

The man's voice was magnetic and lovingly low, his deep pool-like eyes raised slightly as he snickered at Arabella, "Try it all you want, I Ezra will never let anyone go without seeing blood today."

Arabella's pupils widened and the hand clutching the knife trembled gently. She subconsciously withdrew the sharp blade, a tightness in her throat.

In terms of ruthlessness, no one can beat Ezra James. she knows full well that Ezra will really mean what he says even if she dares to bet on her own body.

The panic and unease in Arabella's eyes pleased the man, and with a hook of his thin lips and a raise of his chin at the man next to him, he lazily wrapped his arms around Beth Ruth and stared at Arabella like he was watching a good show. "All right, don't mind her. You guys go right ahead and I'll take care of it if you get hurt."

Seeing Ezra's impatience, the men standing off to the side, who had long been impatient, immediately gathered around and pulled the woman's collar off with a rough hand.

Arabella exclaimed, suddenly feeling a chill on her left shoulder, and half of it was exposed.

The woman's slender, supple shoulders and neck trembled slightly, her plain white, single shirt half exposed, her fine, soft skin lined like white porcelain, a pinch a red mark, white and greasy to the point of blinding.

Several men subconsciously gulped, the corners of their eyes immediately scarlet with l**t, and several monkeyed around and put their hands directly on them.

"No! Stop it, all of you!"

Arabella pushed them away viciously, only to nearly stumble from the reverse force. The man's rough fingers rubbed over them, immediately staining her shoulders and neck a bright rosy red, while the blood on her lips faded to nothing in an instant. The man's thick hands climbed onto Arabella's shoulders, the visual impact of the black and white skin tones and the dense underside of the woman's eyes causing Ezra's eyes to flicker for a moment, only to quickly turn away.

Surrounded by men, Arabella panicked and wrapped her shoulders around herself, the knife in her hand like a joke, the group of beasts scornfully treating her every move like a random flower as if they didn't care about her resistance. Arabella trembled weakly and slightly.

Perhaps from the day she insisted on marrying Ezra, her destiny had slipped into an uncontrollable direction.

One by one, her family members were having accidents and she felt a sense of helplessness she had never felt before. The men whose faces she couldn't see moved with increasing abandon, and a tidal wave of despair rose up inside her. Was she really going to be violated by such a group of beasts today?

She glanced through her messy hair and saw a small bright light, the only way she had left to escape this abusive situati on.

Arabella no longer hesitated and actually took the knife and slashed it directly at her wrist.

It hurts, it hurts so much .......

Crimson blood immediately gushed out, and Arabella's slender white hand instantly bled. The dark beads of blood quickly stained the plain white dress red, bitterly cold like a blinding flower.

Arabella hadn't rested well for days, she was already weak from the small birth and now she was even more dizzy after the loss of blood, even her vision of Ezra became blurred.

"Is that satisfactory to you?" Her miserable white lips curled gently, her grip on her own sleeve tightening in all five fingers, the clearly visible bones as if they could easily be rubbed off in the next second.

She glanced around the room with hatred, the smell of her own blood on her nostrils.

So dirty, everything here is so dirty, if I really die today, consider it a redemption for mom and dad ......

Arabella felt her body grow lighter and lighter, her half-bloodied arm gradually losing heat. Finally still, her eyes went black and she passed out completely.

Seeing the woman fall unconscious in a pool of blood, Ezra's face instantly turned iron. He inexplicably panicked a little and took a few steps across to Arabella's side.

He picked up the woman with one arm, only to find Arabella amazingly light, her body so thin and weak it was as if she couldn't even notice her breath.

"Get out of here, all of you!"

He growled with scarlet in the corners of his eyes and stormed right out of the door with Arabella in his arms.

Central Hospital received a patient who had lost a lot of blood in the early hours of the morning and was brought in in brief shock due to hypoglycemia and malnutrition.

Noah Hall had been standing in the operating room for five hours when he was called in by the chief.

"Arabella is not doing well, she is very weak and has just suffered a cold after a miscarriage. The cut on her hand is self-inflicted and deep, and she should have no desire to live."

The man's warm eyes were so serious for the first time as he looked at the director, his voice low but firm, "I suspect that she was abused by domestic violence."

"Noah, don't be ridiculous!"

The director interrupted him with a frown and looked at the man disapprovingly, "Arabella is Mrs James, it is not our turn to speculate on the private affairs of other people's families. The only thing you have to do is to cure the patient and keep the rest of the discussion to yourself."

Noah Hall didn't say anything back, just looked deeply at the director, nodded slightly and walked straight out.

"Noah, go straight home when the surgery is over and say hello to your father for me."

The director behind him sighed and raised his voice to call out to the man.

He knew the boy had always been kind and gentle, willing to give a hand even to casual passersby, kind by nature.

But this woman was different, and he couldn't help if he wanted to!

Noah Hall looked like he didn't notice the warning in the director's tone and didn't stop in his tracks.

In the corridor outside the ward, Ezra was half leaning against the wall, the somewhat dim light hiding the side of the man's face. The cigarette between his fingers was half-burned, and the ashes scattered around his feet brushed in the wind while he remained straight in place.

The passing nurse tried to step forward several times to warn, but immediately and unconsciously stepped back a few points when she touched the man's shadowy scowl.

Maybe even Ezra himself didn't notice how unusual his current state was.

Not to mention that he was used to bloodshed in fights, even the day Arthur James had his accident, he remained calm and collected.

But this time, his heart panicked for no reason.......
