Raven’s POV

Getting up from my chair, I k**s my Papa on his cheek and quietly leave the room. By the way that Leo and Oliver are fighting, they won’t realize I am missing any time soon.

As I begin to ascend the stairs, I hear the sound of footsteps coming from behind me. I turn around and see all three of my fathers looking at me with concern in their eyes.

“I don’t think now is the time to run away from your problems,” Father gives me a stern look as he speaks. “Alpha Oliver had something important to tell you.”

“Are he and Leo still fighting?” I ask. All three of my fathers nod their heads at the same time. “Then it can wait.”

Each of my fathers calls after me, but I ignore them and head to my bedroom. I don’t want to hear what anyone of them has to say, and the only thing I want to hear from my mates is an apology.

Slipping off my shoes as I reach the top of the stairs, I slowly make my way to my bedroom. I can hear muffled talking behind my bedroom door, and I hesitate to open it. Who would be in my room without my permission?

Taking a deep breath, I open my door to find Elise sitting on my bed with her phone in her hands. She has tears sliding down her cheeks and is apologizing profusely to someone on the other end of the call. I clear my throat to let her know I have entered the room, and her eyes rise to meet mine.

“I have to go,” she says quickly as she ends the phone call.

I cross my arms over my chest and wait for whatever excuse she has for me this time. Only she doesn’t speak right away. She wraps her arms around her body and sobs begin to shake her whole body. I look closely at Elise, trying to decide if her tears are genuine or not.

“What is wrong?” I sigh in exasperation. This woman was becoming more drama than she was worth.

“I am so sorry,” she sobs into her hands. “But I didn’t have a choice.”

“What do you mean?” I ask her. “What have you done?”

She lifts her head and looks at me with fear in her eyes. “I had to tell them where to find your brother. They have my mother.”

I blink several times, trying to decide whether she is telling the truth. “What does my brother have to do with anything?” I growl.

Elise seems to shake where she sits. I consider flipping through her mind to look for the truth, but I am still uncomfortable with the idea of snooping into someone’s thoughts. So, instead, I try to compel her to tell me the truth by using my Luna aura.

Elise twists uncomfortably under my gaze. “The standing true Luna Queen has taken your brother,” she says.

I scoff angrily. “And just who is the true Luna Queen?”

“We don’t know her name,” Elise says. She is looking in my direction, but it doesn’t appear she is actually seeing me. Her eyes are glazed over as she speaks about who she thinks is the true Luna Queen.

“Where is my brother?” I grumble.

“I can take you to him,” Elise says quietly. “But you will have to come alone.”

“Absolutely not,” I say as I pull my phone out of my pocket. “I am not walking into some trap.”

Elise doesn’t respond to me. She sits silently as I dial my brother’s phone number. The phone rings and rings, but no one picks up. Kieran’s voicemail blares in my ear, and I stand stunned in the middle of the room. Kieran has never missed one of my phone calls before.

I storm out of my bedroom with Elise hot on my heels. “Where are you going?” She asks as she follows me down the stairs.

“I am going to speak to my fathers,” I tell her. “I am not stupid. I know this is a trap.”

“They will kill him if you don’t come alone,” Elise spits out behind me.

Rearing back my hand, I slap her across her face. “I am not walking into a trap,” I growl at her. “You will walk down these stairs and tell my fathers everything you know, or I will pull it forcefully from your mind.”

Elise freezes in her steps and refuses to walk down the steps. “I can’t speak to the Alpha triplets. It is forbidden,” she stutters.

“You can and you will,” I growl in her direction, throwing my Luna aura over her.

Sweat begins to bead on her forehead as she tries to resist my command. She puts one foot in front of another as she walks toward me, standing at the top of the stairs. I turn for her to follow me down the stairs when suddenly I feel a pair of hands on my shoulders. Before I am able to turn my head to look at her, Elise shoves me down the stairs.

Shock travels through my body as I tumble down the stairs. My head hits several stairs on the way down, and I hit the bottom with a hard thud. A spitting headache rips through my skull as my vision becomes spotted and blurred.

Elise’s scream pierces my mind, and I hear her rushing down the stairs. She kneels by my side and pushes my hair out of my face. “Luna Queen,” she says with fake worry in her eyes. “You tripped on the top stair.”

I open my mouth to call her a liar, but no words come out. Soon the thunderous sound of footsteps storming through the pack house fills my ears. My eyes flutter open to see my three fathers and my two mates looking down at me.

“What happened to her,” my Father growls at Elise.

“She tripped going down the stairs,” Elise lies.

I try to grunt to get my fathers attention, but once again, no sound comes out. I attempt to shake my head from side to side as my mates look down on me, but I can’t move either. I can feel my eyes fill with panic as they widen. I can’t move any part of my body.
