Chapter 84

AMELIA:

He had a scar on his forehead, but that didn’t hide how handsome he was still. I watched him grab the man and throw him aside and when he came crashing to a glass table filled with flowers, I shut my eyes,

The next thing I felt was his touch on my shoulder and I winced in pain,

"Are you alright..."

"Watch out!" I yelled as I spotted the man rushing towards him from behind, but thankfully, he was quick to dodge a stab from behind,

"You freaking bastard!" I heard him say as he dashed towards the crazy man, and grabbed his arm,

He twisted it behind his back and the man cried out loud in pain, He wasn’t only handsome but also a very skilled fighter. I saw the crazy man bring out a small knife from his abdomen,

"There’s a kni..."

Before I could complete my statement, the knife was used to cut his left arm, and he instantly let go of the man he was holding as he fell to the ground.

I could do nothing but watch the bad man escape through the door,

I was still in so much pain, but I still couldn’t move a muscle. "Hey, are you alright? Hey, look at me, are you alright." I yelled worriedly, staring at blood gushing out from the part of his arm that had been badly wounded.

"Hold still, I’ll get you something to cover it up immediately. We need to take you to a hospital."

Gathering the little strength I had left, I rose to my feet but staggered a little, "Stay still, you’re going to hurt yourself." I heard his voice and turned around to face him. Why was he acting like someone who knew me?

"You’re the one who’s more injured. We need to have your arm bandaged and take you to a hospital as soon as possible." I uttered.

Thankfully, I had a first aid kit in the store, but as I rushed to get it, I lost my balance, tripped, and almost fell I felt a strong arm around my waist the minute I had expected to be on the floor. When I opened my eyes, he was standing so close to me and staring straight into my eyes.

I cleared my throat aloud and returned to my senses when I could suddenly feel his blood on my shirt,

"H....how did you get here so..." I hadn’t completed my statement as my gaze darted to the spot where he had been about a minute ago. It was impossible for a human to run that fast within just 3 seconds,

"Are you a... vamp...."

"No. I’m not what you think."
