I got to the dungeons and found my way to where Scarlett was locked up. Immediately she saw me, she rushed towards me and went on her knees,

Just a few hours here and she was looking horrible,

"Dexter, I’m sorry. I wasn’t in my right senses, and I really couldn’t bear watching that bitch steal you away from me..."

I slammed my fist on the dungeon gate and I watched Scarlett jerk in fright,

"Call my wife a fucking bitch once again and I’ll have you flogged a hundred times, Scarlett. You should know how much that would hurt because you’ve always been the one instructing the punishment."

I watched as she widened her eyes in fright, staring at me, and it finally dawned on her that I wasn’t the Dexter she knew as a young girl, and I certainly wasn’t the same Dexter she had grown up with. That Dexter would never hurt her or allow her to get hurt, but right now I was treating her like a stranger after what happened,

I held two of the iron rods on the dungeon gate and stared at Scarlett,

"I’ll let you go without a single scratch, Scarlett because I owe your late father one. You tried to kill Amelia and my baby and I would have chopped off your head hours ago, but this is the final line. There’s absolutely nothing I feel guilty about

anymore regarding the past because I spared your life after you committed a grievous crime. Disrespect my wife once again and you’ll be punished just like every damn person."

"No, Dexter, you can’t do this to me. You fucking cannot treat me like a stranger all because of her. It was supposed to be me, I was supposed to be your Luna until she came into the picture and ruined every damn thing. You loved me, Dexter; you loved only me." She yelled,

Scarlett was right. If I really hadn’t found Amelia, then maybe she could have become my Luna because I had feelings for her, but not anymore, "I’m still trying so hard to hold onto the last thin line of affection I have for you, Scarlett, because once it’s all gone, you’ll mean absolutely nothing to me so don’t cross the line one more time." I half yelled at her, and while she screamed at me, I turned around and began to walk away, heading towards the exit,

"Set her free without a single scratch," I instructed the guards standing at the entrance and walked away afterward.

AMELIA:

I opened my eyes and the first thing I felt was pain around my abdomen. Dexter was in the room, standing close to the window and staring outside,

I stared at him from behind, suddenly recalling what he had said to me before I passed out earlier. A small smile appeared on my lips while I admired his well-built figure from behind. He had his hands tucked into his pocket
