Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 379 Confrontation

"So, are you Jay?" The expression on Felix's face remained impassive.

Jay stepped forward. "You're right. I guess you know why I'm here, don't you?"

"Looking for Doris?" Felix replied frankly.

"She is my wife! Of course, I will take her back." After saying that, Jay tried to walk inside the house but Felix stopped him.

"Mr. Fang, as far as I know, you seem to have a lot of women around you. In that case, it wouldn't make a huge difference whether you have Doris or not," Felix said sarcastically.

With these words, Jay's face froze. Apparently, he didn't expect a shabby man to say such disrespectful words to him.

He indeed had a lot of women around him, but that was in the past!

But ever since he had Doris, he stopped seeing those women. Because Doris had been so strict, he didn't dare. Not even once!

These words echoed in his mind.

When he realized this, he couldn't help but frown.

These words-'Didn't dare' were not in his vocabulary. He had never been afraid of anyone since he was a child, and he had always done whatever he wanted.

But why did these words, which had nothing to do with him, suddenly mean something to him now?

His love for Doris had been deeply rooted ever since; he just failed to notice it.

Right now, he was certain. He didn't realize how much he loved until this very moment!

This realization gave him more reason to take Doris back. "Of course it's different, because no one can replace Doris!"

"But she doesn't love you. Jay, I advise you to let her go!" Felix continued without flinching.

With contempt in his voice, Jay asked, "Whose idea is that? Yours or Doris'?"

Of course, Jay wouldn't mind it if it was Felix who was talking nonsense.

But if it was from Doris, then...

His face grew darker.

This was not what he wanted to hear!

Although Jay looked domineering, Felix remained eloquent. "No matter whose decision it was, it's still best for Doris to leave you. I'm her childhood sweetheart, and I can't watch her being bullied by you! I know you are rich, but that alone is not enough for Doris. More importantly, you don't understand her!"

Unexpectedly, Jay just smiled wickedly.

And then his smile turned into an arrogant laughter.

This action made Felix confused. "What are you laughing at?"

With a smug look on his face, Jay raised his hand to smoothen his hair. "Felix, you are really naive. Do you think, love is about who came first?"

Felix snorted in embarrassment. After all, in his heart, that was exactly what he meant.

It was him who knew Doris first, and they had such an unforgettable past.

They had been together for so long; through happiness and pain. It was impossible for him to forget, and he was sure that neither Doris would!

Seeing that Felix wasn't saying anything, Jay continued, "Don't talk about your childhood. To put it bluntly, you are selfish. What kind of life can you give to Doris?" And then he arrogantly pointed at the dilapidated courtyard. "Do you want to let Doris live with you in this dirty and messy old house? Or do you want to deprive her child of the right to go to school?"

Every word said by Jay was light, but it hit the nail on the head.

Yes, Felix knew the cruel reality.

He cared about Doris, but he also knew that he couldn't give her a good life.

Without money, how could they have a bright future?

But Felix was not willing to let her go!

If Doris was not here, everything would be meaningless!

A man could decide a woman's life, and similarly, a woman could also decide a man's life!

Give up?

No! He couldn't do it!

So, Felix took a deep breath and said, "Mr. Fang, you are so confident!"

A smile appeared on Jay's face.

His menacing eyes fixated on Felix.

Neither of them wanted to give in.

Their eyes were like sharp swords, fighting in the air.

Jay really didn't understand why Felix had the confidence to fight against him.

Looking at him... He was so fearless!

Ever since he was born, most of the men and women he had met fawned on him. He had never met a man who was so hostile to him before.

This man was as stubborn as Doris!

Sometimes, firmness really could make people think highly of them.

Jay nodded and looked away lazily.

After all, he didn't come here to fight against Felix. He came here to take Doris away.

"Felix, you'd better be sensible. Doris is pregnant with my child now. If anything happens to her, I won't let you go. Do you understand?" His tone was sharper now, because his patience was already wearing thin.

"What if I don't?" Felix stood in front of the door alone.

At this time, Hanson took a step forward, but Jay stopped him.

As a matter of fact, it was easy for him to take Doris away by force, but he didn't know how she was now. What if she and the baby were affected?

So, Jay continued to be patient. "Felix, I know you need money now. Tell me, how much do you want?"

All of a sudden, Felix laughed insultingly. "Jay, you're so stupid. Do you think money is the best thing in the world? I am poor and have no money, but I tell you, I am very happy. When Doris was a little girl, she didn't have money like me. We used to go to school and go home together. We went to farm together. And during those days, we were genuinely happy. Now, do you understand why Doris doesn't like you and insisted on coming here with me?"

Hearing his words, Jay was stunned. It was Doris who insisted on coming here?

Did Doris really want to live such a poor life with Felix?

Did Doris forget Jay after she saw Felix again?

Frustrated, Jay pursed his lips and said coldly, "Felix, hand over Doris!"

His voice was very loud.

Doris didn't sleep well. She was in a daze, as if she had fallen into a mist, or a swamp.

She wanted to open her eyes, but she couldn't.

It was not until she heard the low growl of Jay that she finally broke through the fog and opened her eyes slowly.

When Felix's mother saw that she was finally awake, she shouted in joy, "Doris, you're awake!"
